The Legacy Collection / Re: Advice on Best Battle Droid?
« on: September 28, 2009, 11:31 PM »
Well, who knows, maybe they even have a deal to sell off gobs of factory error stuff at cheap prices.   Given how well Hasbro/Star WArs has sold over the years, I would be really shocked to see them going after the little bits of factory error or repackage incidents out there.  We sure have seen some weird repack issues in Minnesota though.  Everything from headless GH figures (I still don't understand that one) to X-Wing fighters containing A-wing pilots!

Out of curiosity, has anyone else ever ordered from Tunghori?  The stuff I got was way back in the ROTS days, but I'm tempted to get one of his custom female troopers. Micheal has one for trade, so I know he must have ordered from him recently.  Any others?  IF so, how was the quality of the figs you received?

I do all the time just to save time and money.  I usually get my figs in around a week afer paying.  If you are really specific about the weapons, accessories ask first.  Sometimes they come with them sometimes they dont.  If the picture shows it then they are included.  The quality is fine.

The Legacy Collection / Advice on Best Battle Droid?
« on: September 25, 2009, 11:13 PM »
I have been meaning to upgrade my EP1 BD's and came across this one from a known overseas seller.  Can someone tell me where this is showing up or will show up?  There is also a BD Commander with the same sculpt and they seem to match the recent Target Geonosis 2-Packs.

Also, is the Clone Wars Battle Droid able to display and fit in okay with other Figs if not, what is everyones opinion as the best BD produced to date?

Any help would be appreciated.

One word Eerie.  Its like Layne Stanley is still with us. Although I always thought Jerry Cantrel was AIC.  As for the album, if your an AIC fan then you will find it very enjoyable.

This new X-Men flick has crapfest written all over it IMO.  The X-Men Universe has been so badly botched with most characters appearing in their wrong respected timelines.  These non continuity films are made more for the casual non comic reader IMO.

I just hope they can do some justice with the Wolverin/Japan storyline.

I'm probably in the minority but after receiveing the Trebor fig, I like the original better minus the articulation of course.  The color apps seem better as does the size which looks more consistent to the film.  You cant beat the price on these 2-packs compared to Walmart which surprisingly sold out at the 4 stores near me.

Can someone give some feedback on the Yoda pack? Is it just a repack? Color change? Soft Goods?  I did not even look at one when I picked up the other sets.

Like others said the joints on the BD's come loose on both the arms and legs on mine. I wish Hasbro could have gone back to the stiff plastic used on the EP1 Droids and use the sculpt on these current figs, but add the ability to grasp the weapon with both hands.

Did either of these generic Jedi's have any screen time?

The Original Trilogy / Re: Fan Edit Ep IV - A Must See

I just got finished watching the special features and you will be happy to know that there is a deleted scene of Alderaan and we get to see an aged Jimmy Smits and Jar Jar bite the dust.

Can we get a step-by-step tutorial on how to download and watch this thing?  ???

download a program called jpdownloader (just do a google search, they have there own site I believe and it is free).  Download the rar program which is similar to winzip. Buy a rapidshare account (I usually buy 1 month at a time, and it is not reoccuring, around $7 I believe).  Download the link on fanedit.org and you can now download the file. Once done you will have a video_ts dvd file.  Burn and away you go.

I would advise downloading the Dual Layer version if possible.  If you are still stuck just pm me and we can do it the easy way.

For those keeping track, there are two more variants in this wave.  The Black & Red Spidey and an Iron Fist Variant which has the black logo on chest versus the yellow logo.  The Grey Hulk is also reshipping with this case

Has anyone seen the darker Red Daredevil variant?

I would be concerned if I were Sam Elliot.  Most of the cast of Roadhouse has passed in the last year or two.
