Ask and you shall receive.  Here is a list, with links to pictures, of the customs appearing in the reception photocomic:

Wicket W. Warrick (Tragicomic Death)
Ysanne Isard
Findswoman (self-portrait)
Padmé (lavender nightgown)
Sheltay Retrac (Bail Organa's aide)
and of course
Eloise

I thought I'd gotten everything on this list, but then I found I missed two: a custom Twi'Lek (Oola head on a repainted Lyn Me body) and a 4-LOM wearing a bowtie.  Here's a picture of them:

Enjoy, all!  It's a long post, I know, but you asked for it.  ;)

Thanks for all the kind words, guys!  Glad I could bring a laugh or 2 your way.

Phruby, thanks! He's sleeping on a Polly Pocket sofa that I got on clearance -- it's JUST the right size for SW figures.

Quazar, yes, Eloise's home base is the Plaza.  But when her mother goes to Coruscant, she prefers the Four Seasons.  :)  (Besides, that's the only podium I have!  :D ) By the way, exactly what IS the "quintessential L.A. experience"?  I've never been there so I have to profess ignorance.

Darth Ennis, you may be right about Kenobi.  I'll ask him.  I think a number of the "tipsy hot ladies" may actually have followed him when he went off to change (but that wasn't really something I had the heart to chow on a family board :D ).  As for the Chapel of the Chimes, there are plenty more photos for your viewing pleasure at at its official site, if you haven't already been there.

Phruby, BrentS, Quazar, in my next post on this thread I intend to have a list of all the customs that appeared, along with links to closeup photos.  Most are on my website already, but I still have to add the few that aren't.  (For example, the girl with the imperial logo is my Imperial Cheerleader.)

Thanks again, all!  It's really been fun hosting The Purple One!  :)

I'd be glad to stop in whatever day people decide on, at least for a bit (and at least during the summer) -- I'll keep checking this thread for that.

And Smarty, your typing has indeed come a long way.  Keep up the good work.  :)

This thread has the most random title ever now -- I just had to check it out!  :)  Ruprecht, are you the same person as bjardkerr?  Just wondering -- sorry if that sounds like a dumb question.

Boss looks very good, and the painting came out very professionally.  But what's a "deece" or a "decee" or however it's spelled?  Is that his gun?

Looking forward to see that female Mando, Korbra, especially if it's as good as your current Mando! :)  Looking forward to seeing the photos.

As it turns out, Diddly, I have a spare Antilles head, and would be glad to trade it to you if you'd like it -- just say the word.  :)

Maybe a SAGA Captain Antilles head?

 :)

That sounds like a good choice, and then maybe gray the hair slightly... the stern look on that one would work great for an Imperial, too.

Sorry for all the advice!  ;)

that moff looks good, but it looks like he's in the habit of sniffing some serious glue!  :)

Tee hee!  Yes, he does have that look to him.   :)  Also, that Luke head makes him look very young to be something as high-ranking as a Moff.  Does he have a name?

Neat "transition" trooper -- the parts go together well!  That's quite an impressive polearm he has there, too.  An anti-bantha type weapon, perhaps?  :)

Wow, I like that Sora a lot, though I know nothing about the character.  I love the clothes you've sewn.  And he seems to have just enough weathering -- not too much.   Aros continues to look good, though he is very recognizably Jango at present -- a beard might indeed help.  :)

Customizing Tips and Tricks / Re: Female Figures List
« on: June 15, 2006, 04:36 PM »
I am quite surprised that no-one has mentioned Microlady Material Force.

That's a very good addition to the list, Kambei!  Thanks for the heads-up!  I guess the reason it didn't come to my mind was that I was too busy thinking of figures that have to do with some property or other -- SW, G. I. Joe, etc. -- rather than blank template sort of things like the Microladies.  But the Microlady definitely fits in.  Thanks again!

He actually almost DID go for a swim in that very fountain!  It was a close shave, indeed.

And now, without further ado, I'm proud to present my finished photocomical contributions to the Brotherhood of the Travelling Purple Pimp Daddy Kenobi!

First, just a simple walking tour through the neighborhood, wih visits to local shops & sights, including a real live page from the Gutenberg Bible...

Enjoy, everyone!  Let me know what you think...  :D

Nice line-up, Smartypants!  For some reason, your photo of the red, green, & blue clones together puts me in m,ind of Huey, Dewey, and Louie... I wonder why.  ;)

The Trandoshan Sith Lord is really neat and creative -- like the softgoods skirt.  Only thing is, the Vader shoulder armor is still very recognizably Vader... perhaps a bit of repainting, especially on the silver parts, might help it look different.

I like the Wookiee in armor, too.  Nice sculpting, and another neat idea.  We see Humans in armor all the time, especially Mandalorians, but no aliens.  Is this Wookiee meant to look Mandalorian, or even just quasi-Mandalorian?

Happy customizing!  :)

Update time!  I took Purple Pimp Daddy Kenobi on a walk around my neighborhood today, and took TONS of photos.  Here's a little sneak preview:

Right now he's resting up before the welcome reception that the other customs will be throwing for him this evening.  He was awfully psyched when I told him how many lady customs would be there!   ;D

Very nice new updates, Ennis!  What a shame that this thread got bumped to page 2... I'll fix that!  :)

Great story about the Twi'lek jedi, and nice painting too -- I like that aqua color you used. :)

And that souped-up NJO Falcon is just spectacular!  Excellent work, and congratulations on your first vehicle custom.  An ausicious start, I'd say!  8)
