I like that it is closer to the costume from the first Cap film.

Also, the army of Ultron's behind them.

And on topic, you find the $60 price tag of the new MF reasonable?  I'm still not sold. Granted, I fully expect to hear all the grumbling next year when the BMF returns for the movie at $300. I feel like $40 has always been the ceiling price for a value toy. At $60, parents are usually expecting something in the deluxe range.

Three years ago, no.  The 30" figures are $30-35, and the detail on this far surpasses those, at least from the pictures.  $60 puts you right into pricing for a video game, probably the target.

Of course, this could look like a turd once we see real pics of it, raher than the Hasbro photography which may change my mind.  I am also curious to see how a figure looks next to this. How off is the scale?

Love that new Cap costume.  Very cool.

Yeah, I sure didn't get the Jakks Pacific giant Vader either. Something a clueless Aunt would buy a kid to try to impress, but not a toy to be played with at the end of the day. But at least it is a perceived value...and the "shampoo bottle" figures fill the large cheap niche even better, and are manageable enough in size.

You couldn't be more wrong.  I grabbed a Jakks Vader for my son, and one for my nephew, clearance at Target.  My son loves this toy and is playing with it constantly.  He has saber duels with him, he chokes out the Jar Jar plush.  He loves it.

People are mad about this thing, but they already made US a Millenium Falcon, so why not a cheap one for kids to enjoy, and for retail to move more quickly, than a $150-$200 item, ya know?  That's all they're doing here.

Clearly price point is a major focus for Hasbro right now...  Get things affordable to sell more quantity.  Stuff like this is a necessity.  Not my cup of tea either, personally, but the need's not lost on me either.  It's how I view 5POA figures.

My fear there is Hasbro's going to take 4" completely that direction and 6" the collector line.  I think that's a still very real possibility in the near future.  Especially with new films rolling out, which obviously will grab for the kid dollar and attention far harder than they'll grab for ours.  :-\

Stuff like this Falcon though, it's pretty cool for a kid I think...  Especially when kids can't get that $50, $60, or far more expensive ship that we can blow $ on and not bat an eye.
I LOVE this item.  The BMF is more of a playset.  This is a ship to have dogfights with.  I would have loved to had something like this when I was 8 years old.  I will definitely be buying one for my son.

People bitch about George Lucas, but these films and the first GI Joe raped my childhood.  Bleech.

Best part is the picture on the packaging.  Kids that age should not be watching Alien!!  LOL!  That girl's parents will be dealing with night terrors for months.

We keep hearing that Harrison Ford's injury has left the production scrambling. First, the shooting schedule had to be changed. Then, we heard that the film was looking at changing the script and enlarging Oscar Isaacs role to compensate. Disney denied that. And now the latest rumor is that J.J. Abrams asked to push the release date back to May 4, 2016. Latino Review doesn't directly pin Abrams' request to the break (they instead say that Abrams "thinks that his Star Wars should be released in May like all the other Star Wars movies have been."), but it would still make sense, if the break is anywhere near as bad as the rumors have been saying.

The Latino Review article further states that Kathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm agrees with Abrams, but it's Bob Iger and Disney who are determined to get this film out in December 2015. As always, beware of stories quoting unnamed sources. [Latino Review via Slashfilm)

A no-brainer two pack would have been two Stormies.

I wonder if when Hasbro planned this they were thinking 'these early Black Series figures will be scarce when fall 2014 comes around.' Ah, no. If it's anything other than that, I have no idea what the idea is here.
Right?  Greedo, while pretty awesome, is now in the encyclopedia as 6-Inch's entry under "pegwarmer" next to Malakili.

Have a guy on my Twitter Feed that LOVES to blurt **** out about GoT the night it happens.  ::)
There may be a couple non-GoT spoilers in my post, but they are both pretty old stuff...

I have a FB friend who does this.  Gone from my feed.  I also take away the official GoT page as well during the season.

The two worst spoiler experiences for me were the official Walking Dead facebook posting a RIP Lori immediately after the episode, one we didn't get to see until the next day.  Grr.

That does not come close to the worst of all though...  Back in the day, there was a lot of hype which Harry Potter character was going to die in The Order of the Phoenix.  I was being very careful to avoid spoilers as I was reading the book. I was reading something on a wrestling news website and in the middle of a non-related topic, the writer stops mid-sentence and says "It's Sirius Black," then continues on with what he was talking about.  I wanted to frigging kill that guy.

I'm surprised the New Republic isn't driving around in newer evolved TIE fighters. Didn't the Empire have the new stuff while the rebels had the old outdated stuff? It seems like the X-Wing would have been discontinued by then. I guess ship design never gets discontinued but evolves instead.
Perhaps this is Luke's personal ship?

The fact that the Falcon is back AND that they are actually building a full size model for the first time since 1980 make me very happy.  How the Falcon never featured in the prequels still puzzles me.  Obi-Wan should have flown in it, known how fast it was to make his meeting with Han more meaningful.

Star Wars collectors should be happy that Hasbro doesn't delve into this kind of "one new piece in a box of ten others."

"My son" has been collecting the Disney Planes.  There are four or five planes that are available only in multi-packs, most containing 4-7 items we already own  There is even one plane that was only available at Meijers, and they don't exist in the north east.  It is really an e-bay dream come true.  I've given up on these few, but I always think that this stuff was rare with Hasbro and Star Wars.
