The Wave 1 that sits around here is R2-D2.  I agree that Boba should have been the obvious choice to carry forward.  Someone in Hasbro thinks that people only want heroes.

???  Did you watch the game? The Bronco's defense was responsible for most of the early lead they had (fumble returned for a TD, strip sack putting them in position for a TD).  Then for around 40 or more minutes of the game until that last TD drive it was like Manning wasn't there.  Brady on the other hand had a fantastic second half.  Look at the game stats.  Brady rose to the occasion, Manning folded.  If we want to say it was a goofy play that won NE the game the obvious counter is that there would have been no OT if not for a goofy 1st quarter.

I think that last night should put to be the "who is better?" conversation to bed, but it won't.  Manning gets the respect from the league that Brady deserves.

I think that the bad part of TWD this week was Breckin Meyer.  Dude must have connected parents because he's gotten SO many chances to bomb.  He really sucks.  Not near the Manson line, but down there.  Chris Jericho was really good.  The show is at its best when someone from production or cast is a guest.

There is a different view from the outside looking in on this guys...  From the perspective of a New Englander, it was really something to watch the city, and really the entire region come together in defiance of what those scumbags did.  This team has spent the entire year living this, and while there is certainly some "marketing" about this, to the guys on the team and the fans in the stands, "Boston Strong" was very much real.

In the aftermath of the win, there were a few wingnuts "celebrating" in an inappropriate manner, but in the entire city there were only 9 arrests, and most of them were those idiots that flipped a car.  That car's owner, BTW, was the beneficiary of a kickstarter that someone started to make it right, and the extra money that people donated went to the One Fund to benefit the victims of the bombing.

I get that people are sick of Boston and their success in the last decade (8 championships across the four major sports), but know that Boston Strong means more than words on a poster around here.

Wowsers.

I think that the lack of costumes and capes makes sense in the "universe" they have created here.  Plus, no one working surreptitiously would wear a flashy costume, so it makes sense that the Extremis people act this way.

I never really thought of it, but can the Disney Marvel Movie Universe even mention genetic mutation at all, much less any character who's powers are derived this way?

I completely agree, Jesse.  The zombies are a conceit to examine what could happen when societal structures fall apart.  I always get a kick out of the gore, but the character moments are what keep me watching.

If you take TWD and change it for Keeping up with the Kwhorda$$hian$, then he'd have a point.  TWD isn't a huge deep drama, but it does have some social commentary.

Trailer is up

This looks awesome.  I'm just not psyched for Thor 2 for some reason, but this has me jazzed for more Marvel.
This does look awesome.

When the first Thor film came out, I wasn't all that motivated to see it, but I was really pleased with what they did, never having been much a fan of the character.  I feel kind of the same now with these two features.

That is an interesting take for sure, I interpreted that as more of a spiritual/ethical type comeback than a mental one. Like "how can you reconcile the horrible things you have had to do to survive with your personal sense of morality?" That was kind of the thrust of their conversation, they had both done bad things but Rick was still willing to reach out and help a stranger whereas she couldn't make that leap and had crossed over to pure survival mode.

That is what I took from it too.  Could the soul come back from being inhumane, not really the psyche.

Nothing at Kohl's is full price, ever.  There is always at least a 15% coupon available and most times 30% is not unheard of.  That would be in addition to the sales that are constant.  I bought Logan a Thomas Trackmaster set there that was priced at %79 and after a series of discounts got it for around $25 (just one train alone is "worth" around $10).  Bargains can definitely be found there.
