From this week's Hasbro Q&A over at Echo Base:


ECHO BASE FORUMS: IF you were to release an awesome new Slave I, which colors would you release it in first (assuming it would later be repainted)? Prequel colors, to match its upcoming appearance in The Clone Wars cartoon? Or its original look, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back?

HASBRO: If we were to release a new Slave I, it would be based on the Clone Wars deco.

Due to the huge delay on these, it seems that you could have done any number of things to make ordering this wave by-the-case online a much more appealing proposition and you probably would have also not left Toys R Us stuck with so many repack figures once the smoke clears on this wave.


I'd be interested in seeing their answer to this one.

After seeing the previews at the Clone Wars panel at Wondercon yesterday, I think it's really likely that we'll be seeing **SPOILER ALERT**



....a new Slave I soon. It looks like it's gonna be showing up a lot in the last few episodes of the second Clone Wars season in a pretty aggressive role. It also looks like we'll be seeing a lot of the interior explored in the show. Pretty exciting to speculate about. 8)

I'd buy all of the bounty hunters from Friday night's episode and a few turtle farmers, too. That was probably the best episode of the second season.

That was a very good episode. Embo was awesome. 8) I also really liked the turtle farmers and the little creature in the big robot suit. And it was great to see Hondo show up again. Very cool.
