Live stream - Jing, Chris, Emily, Eric.

Recap of recently pre-ordered things...
- TVC Phase II Clone 4-pack - confirmed new tooled helmet head sculpt
- Deluxe Jango Fett

Note on fan-channel...
- "Even more focused in 2024" on providing Fan Channel
- "Still delivering strong figures" to brick-and-mortar (Target/Walmart) for "characters kids and casual fans will recognize"
- Use Dooku as example of figure fans want so = fan-channel

New TVC reveals today... all of these are mainline figures; Pre-order 1/24 @ 1pm ET (guessing these make up a lot of the wave that is coming with Huyang):
- TVC TBB Captain Rex (uses new Clone sculpt)
- TVC ANH X-Wing Pilot Luke {VC158 repack/refresh with tweaked cardback}
- VC312 The Mandalorian (Season 3) - seems like a repack of the Rescue/N-1 Mando figure sculpt on a new Season 3 cardback
- VC313 Grogu (Season 3) - new pram with three different cover options and his flat shirt (from the DLX Grogu/Luke pack)
- VC314 Mandalorian Fleet Commander - has an interchangeable helmet head
- VC315 TM Axe Woves (Mando Season 3) - "refresh" where this version has an interchangeable helmet head

New TVC Exclusives:
- TVC Sabine/Chopper/Lothcats (2) Multi-Pack - Chopper/Lothcats and Sabine both on Mural cardback
--- Limited Pre-Order window at Hasbro Pulse (1/24 @ 1pm ET through Feb 14th @ 11:59pm ET)
--- (man, these are very nice - new helmet head for Sabine is WAY better than that DLX figure)

TVC Pipeline Reveals:
- TCW 4-Pack - Ahsoka, R7-A7, CH-33P, RG-G1 (Amazon Exclusive)
- HK-87 red/tan repaint
- Dark Trooper (stripped down carded release)
- Ahsoka the White
- Mando with 'borrowed' Beskar Trooper Jetpack
- Updated Mando Season 3 Bo Katan
- Deluxe COBB ******' VANTH with Fett armor :)

I have no idea what they might reveal.  The only thing that's got me a little on edge is the potential that Hasbro might reveal something in the pipeline that I put on my March Madness Top 25 submission list, and if I have to edit those submissions.

I'd like to see them comment on the fact that everything that has been revealed/pre-ordered since October has been "fan channel" items.  There are a lot of unspoken signs that the new "Epic Hero Series" stuff is the new brick-and-mortar line and the 3.75" TVC line is heading towards "fan channel only".  No one has gone on record saying anything about that officially yet.

I'd also like a bit more clarity about the Epic Hero Series stuff.  Does that stuff technically fall under Steve Evans and the "Marvel/Star Wars Collector Products" team or does that line fall under Vickie Stratford and the "Marvel/Star Wars Casual Fan Products" team?

Any chance Chopper isn't a repack?

He appears to be a slightly repainted version of the original Disney Chopper figure (which Disney has repainted before in this line).

Jayson reveals an upcoming Ahsoka themed Disney Droid 4-pack coming 1/29:

Not sure how I feel about this one.  A Chopper repack, Huyang (who so far looks lesser than the TVC Figure) and two astromechs.  Feels underwhelming, but I'm sure I'll still buy one...  maybe I can put this Huyang with the Clone Wars figures.

Now I've either got to pull the head off a perfectly good R5 droid or just leave Grogu trapped like a boy in the bubble.

Remember this guy from Target a couple years back?

I dug through my accessory bin baggies to find this extra R5-head and used it with the Mando N-1.  If you bought this set back in the day, that's an easy way to get an R5 head without having to sacrifice a whole R5-D4 for the job.

Jayson doing Jayson things and teasing new 2024 products...

https://yakfaceforums.com/main/2024/01/09/retro-rumor-report-new-unknown-6pk-code-name-found/

- code name “Odysseus”
- box dimensions are the same as the other 6pks released previously

Thoughts/speculation?

- dimensions of box are similar to something around the size of Tantive IV and Carbon Freezing Chamber playsets OR a vehicle like Imperial Troop Transport

Let's start our speculation while Jayson keeps digging...

So, if Favreau is doing the Mando & Grogu movie, is that more evidence that Filoni's movie is going to be Ahsoka/Rebels crew focused?

I'm hoping it was just writer strike related things that caused some kind of delay in confirming/moving on to a Season 2 as I'd like to see more of Baylon/Shin's story (and everything else going on in Ahsoka's finale).

Speak of the devil...  a tidbit from the announcement of a Mando & Grogu movie:

"The Mandalorian & Grogu will lead Lucasfilm's ongoing feature-development slate, including films helmed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, James Mangold, and Dave Filoni, who is also currently developing Ahsoka Season 2, among those in the works."

So I guess we will get an Ahsoka Season 2 eventually...

Star Wars Anthology / The Mandalorian & Grogu

This seems to be different from Filoni's Mandoverse movie.  This one is to be directed by Jon Favreau and produced by Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, and Dave Filoni.

The Mandalorian & Grogu will go into production in 2024.

I don't think he's the type to fill Shin in on all his plans.

It's kind of a bummer that they were clearly setting this all to go somewhere with Baylon but then at the same time they don't seem to have any definite plans for an Ahsoka Season 2?  All of which is also complicated by the untimely passing of the actor.  I'm hoping it was just writer strike related things that caused some kind of delay in confirming/moving on to a Season 2 as I'd like to see more of Baylon/Shin's story (and everything else going on in Ahsoka's finale).

As for $150 - $200 vehicles?  I have some hope there.  The U-Wing is on my list of vehicles that might work in that range.  And so is the Imperial Gunship that's been in REBELS, TM season 3, and AHSOKA.

Yeah, the $130 Mando N-1 shows that they haven't given up on new vehicles.  The price is unfortunate, but that's the world we live in now I guess.  I'm hoping that the N-1 sold well enough to bring us more new ships.

That REBELS/Ahsoka Imperial LAAT Gunship would be a great candidate for a Hasbro Pulse 'open order' item (like the Boba/Jabba Palace set) since Ahsoka is still fresh.  Open up a pre-order window to determine demand and then it comes a year later (which is what you guys were wanting with a kind of HasLab that isn't a HasLab thing).  You could toss in a TVC carded Night Trooper/Pilot.

U-Wing would be a good candidate too, especially if it shows up in Andor Season 2.
