A major city decides its traffic problem is horrendous so said city decides to fix it. After years of planning, actual work commences. Now after years of work and numerous traffic delays and detours, the first major part of said problem fixer opens up. Mind you, this was supposed to be the end all be all solution to the problem. Guess what, traffic is no better and in some cases, worse than before. Cost for this solution: $15 billion. What was actually gotten: a big steaming pile of ****. But boy, it sure does look pretty.  

DK, I remember when the original BHD was released, there was rumblings of a super deluxe version to be released later.  I'm glad I held off on that one.  The new is being released next week and its going to be worth it for the 90 minute History Channel documentary alone.

But I do agree with you and Matt on the issue, though.  I've gotten pooched with buying America Pie, Sixth Sense, Silence of the Lambs, Almost Famous and many others to only have a better edition released.  Granted most of those were bought in my rookie days of DVD and I now know to check out the web for any possible rumblings of a future release, but it still pisses me off.  

I do own a fresh water pole and only really use when I go up to Maine.  I did catch an at least 4 lb large mouth bass on it, but since no one was with me, nobody believes me  

I do wish I can go deep sea fishing more often.  I'm not in Matt's boat where I "chum" all day   and just love being out in the open ocean.  One time, it was me, my father, his friend and his son, about 28 miles off the coast of Atlantic City.  We didn't catch much that day but being so far out was cool.  We did see a huge sunfish though.

Another time, same group, not as far out.  We hit a school of blues and were reeling in fish after fish.  I swear, we must have caught 200 fish that (which might be an exaggeration due to my then teenage mind, but it was quite alot of fish).  It was getting to the point where, if we caught a small fish, we'd leave it on the line and throw it back in as "bait" for larger fish.  A pretty cool day

The wife tolerates it and my immediate family knows (most, however, were surprised at how much I had when they came up for my wedding and I showed them.  And 95% of it is packed away in a closet.  All I did was slide the door open and their jaws dropped).  Most of my friends know but don't probably know the extent of it.  My co-workers know as I get my on-line orders delivered to work and have a few figures on my desk.

Now, if you saw me walking down the street, would you know I'm a fanatic.  Probably not.  I only wore the few T-shirts I own to opening nights of TPM and AOTC.  Its not that I'm trying to hide my hobby, I really feel Star Wars T-shirts is not appropriate dress apparel.  I don't know why I feel that way as I'll tell anyone who asks about my hobby and will be proud to show it off any chance I'll get, by T-shirts is a no no IMO.

Any you know the weird part, I won't wear a T-shirt but I will get a tatoo.  Think about that for a minute

I just heard on the radio that Robert Stack, longtime host of Unsolved Mysteries and the voice of Ultra Magnus in Transformers:The Movie has passed away at the age of 84.

He will be missed
