I'm thinking about doing Top 20 lists in the following categories:

-PREQUEL TRILOGY
-ORIGINAL TRILOGY
-SEQUEL TRILOGY
-ANTHOLOGY MOVIES (Solo & Rogue One)
-LIVE ACTION TELEVISION  (The Mandalorian & The Book of Boba Fett so far)
-ANIMATION  (Wide open - Droids, Ewoks, Tartakovsky Clone Wars, 3D Clone Wars, Rebels, Resistance, Visions, etc)
-EXPANDED UNIVERSE (Print, comics, gaming)

I like this breakdown and these groupings too.

The simpler, the better.

Do we run 2 concurrently or solely focus on TVC?
I would say yes to running concurrent TVC and TBS polls.  Both lines have places where they might have some holes, or could benefit from some fresh ideas.

While I am inclined to agree with Dave, I guess it would be best to run then at the same time in the appropriate forum section.   Fair warning, my 6" wish-lists will pretty much exclusively be Han Solo figures...  :P

Agreed on having TBS polls in the TBS section.

And I would be disappointed if your Black Series wishlists WEREN'T like that, LOL!

Re: the "Animation" category do we need to specify the figure style? In other words, do we want them to be realistic style figures to match the rest of TVC - or do we want animated style figures matching the old Clone Wars / Rebels / resistance lines?

Might be worth breaking that into two categories.

Re: the "Animation" category do we need to specify the figure style?

In the past, when we've done the animation poll we just asked people to label the style when voting.

I think that is still the way to go.  If you want realistic, you put (Realistic) and if you want Animated, you put the Animated style (Animated - Tartakovsky; Animated - Ewoks; Animated - Rebels, etc).

That’s definitely a good question.  I think it might be best to look at how Hasbro has done things for the past few years.  Notably the Tartakovsky Clone Wars exclusives that are finally being released, the Droids exclusives, and the Credit Collection in The Black Series.  All of those offer mostly realistic sculpting, but animated style deco.  And the last time we got a 3.75” figure that had an animation style sculpt was probably in 2017.  I would certainly factor in that with characters from animation.

EDIT - I forgot about the RESISTANCE line from 2019 or so.  But I think so did a lot of collectors.  And Hasbro might want to forget it, too.

My Five Below remembers them. It remembers them a lot.

If anyone follows Star Wars The Vintage Collection on Facebook or Instagram, they are currently running a March Madness tournament.  Man, some of the match-ups are killer.

There are definitely some interesting choices in that poll.  And it was part of the inspiration behind me wanting to poll the users here.  Because I think we might get somewhat different results from what's bearing out in that IG poll.

Oh, yeah.  There are definitely ones that I chose that are sorely getting beat out.  But with the difficult choices, I tried to choose the figure as if it was the last figure Hasbro were to make.

I know this hasn't been brought up in almost half a year, but should we start one (using Nick's list) in September?  Not sure if Scott wants to run it or if he's okay passing it along (I'm okay tallying votes, etc.).  What say you, Jeff?

I'd definitely like to see where things stand among this crowd.  What do people want?  What are the big priorities?

For me it's mostly major OT needs and OT-era Canon/EU figures, with some Filoni CW/Bad Batch mixed in.

This can be the way we go with the lists.  And I believe Nick suggested having a Top 20...

-PREQUEL TRILOGY
-ORIGINAL TRILOGY
-SEQUEL TRILOGY
-ANTHOLOGY MOVIES (Solo & Rogue One)
-LIVE ACTION TELEVISION  (The Mandalorian & The Book of Boba Fett so far)
-ANIMATION  (Wide open - Droids, Ewoks, Tartakovsky Clone Wars, 3D Clone Wars, Rebels, Resistance, Visions, etc)
-EXPANDED UNIVERSE (Print, comics, gaming)

Would we want to do a final all-around wishlist at the end?

I think we might want to consider adding a couple of additional categories.  Perhaps limit these to 10 choices.

-TROOP BUILDER 4-PACKS

-PLAYSET WITH FIGURE

Those both seem to be "expressions" that Hasbro is actively offering, so I think it would be worthwhile to express what this community wants.

The one condition with the troop builder 4 packs seems to be that Hasbro is only offering them after a sculpt has appeared in The Vintage Collection.  After that it appears to be fair game.  Whether or not we should impose that same condition seems like it should be open to discussion.
