I do really like the detail that the mortars are basically the canisters that stormtroopers have on their back belts. I know these are largely just another repaint, but I really dig it. I'm in for a few. Pretty cool touch that the backpack holds all the extra shells:

That just raises questions for me and makes me think someone was being too clever for their own good. 

Do artillery troopers just carry one mortar around then to go with this enormous tube?

The thing on the back of the Stormtrooper belt is a N-20 Thermal Detonator. 

It would appear then that this Artillery Trooper has a specially designed launcher to toss these N-20 thermal detonators farther then if they were just out here tossing them by hand (like a regular stormtrooper would have to do).  He also gets a special backpack that holds more N-20 grenades so he's got more than one shot I guess.

This trooper is maybe my favorite in the 6" line.  Glad to see him coming to TVC.
