I think that the Oscars dropped the ball by not nominating "The Lego Movie" and "Guardians of the Galaxy" for Best Picture. With up to 10 slots it is the right thing to do in my opinion since they were both excellent and popular. I'm all for Best Picture being the best movie even if only 23 people saw it (I've liked almost every Best Picture winner going back to 1927), but it's a good idea to nominate some movies that appeal to other demographics. Way to go old white guys.
