This is clearly a repro right? The fact that it looks so bad yet is at $76 makes me think at least some people are hoping their gonna get an insane deal on this if it were legit. But as a repro I'd pay like $10

I hope that is a repro, otherwise someone actually thought it was a good idea to do a paint touch-up on the rarest SW figure ever.

Exactly. It looks like if I tried to make a custom. But he has so much other legit stuff and really nice repros it seems weird he'd have that listed without saying it's a fake.

“Paint is touched up” looks more like “completely hand painted”.

I’m not an expert on Vlix by any means, but I’d assume either a custom, or a terrible, terrible restoration.

I'd pay more than 76 bucks for a terrible terrible terrible restoration since I otherwise will never own a Vlix. BUT not without knowing it's a terrible restoration and not a hand painted (by my 4 year old) repro. It'll be interesting to see what it sells for.

I have no ideal ultimately.  You can get a pretty good repro on a card for a hundred bucks, so if bidders think this is fake, $76 is probably about the limit.  If people are seeing this and think it’s real… it’ll certainly move north before it ends.

It sold for $125. Also the seller never replied to my question to him about it......

I think they were being deliberately obtuse to try to squeeze a few extra bucks out of someone willing to take a chance that it was authentic.

This isn't an eBay auction, but it will be an auction of a historic find of vintage Kenner figures.  Some 300 vintage Kenner figures were found in the original case boxes in a collector's closet in the Chicago area.  They're reportedly pristine.  It's a story that definitely seems to be worth following because it's such an extraordinary find.

I’d read about this one… sealed cases apparently. After Toy Tony, I’m skeptical of anything like this at this point, but if it’s real it’s amazing for sure. 

Also, this is in Chicago, why wasn’t it me who found them…  :'(

I was thinking the same thing.  If something seems too good to be true?  Well, you know how that goes. 

Some of the pieces are graded.  But I think a number of the Toy Tony pieces were graded, too.

Yeah, tons of Toy Tony stuff was graded.  That was a big part
of the drama.  If AFA can’t tell, how can anyone else?

To me that should have been the death of AFA but what do I know.
