I really don't have the space for something like that. Plus I have 3 little boys under 4 years old who would get a hold of it and destroy it. 
I'm learning to work around my camera's faults. It has no macros mode. The best lighting I can get is mid-day sun. Eventually I'll get a tripod which should make the biggest difference. When I brace the camera against something my pics turn out much better, like the later pictures of the Death Star Troopers. I didn't find anything to brace with yesterday when I took the pictures of Darth Llaith. I was in a hurry. I'll get some better pics this weekend.

Yeah, I'll try to get some better pics this weekend. My last customs were just some simple Death Star Trooper upgrades. Not really much in the way of customized. So far my most difficult undertaking has Been the ROTJ Han Solo, which I am doing an updated version of soon.

Here is my latest custom, a fanfic Sith by the name of Darth Llaith. (llaith is Welsh for death)
I liked building this one because there was very little paint application involved. Just the breather on Croc Master's head.
Parts Used:
Head - Croc Master Version 2
Torso - Destro Version 10
Waist/Upper Legs - Zartan version 7
Arms/lower legs - Snake Eyes version 24
Cloak - POTF2 Jedi Luke
Lightsaber - Darth Vader (light saber attack version)
Thanks to the Spectre for the cloak and lightsaber in a previous trade.
Oh, and I have no real back story for him, just a time table. Feel free to come up with something. He's supposed to appear between ROTS & ANH to challenge Vader and the Emporer for power (and kill 1 or 2 order 66 survivors). He loses to vader & Palpatine but escapes. Then reappears between ESB & ROTJ when he confronts Luke. My lacks are: where does he come from, and how does he die?

« on: August 12, 2007, 07:42 PM »Actually, the BP's at TRUS have been 24.99. Targets are 20.00. The strange thing about prices is that Target charges 11.99 for the vintage ( which go down to 2.98 when no one buys them at that price) but everyone else charges 9.99 I have never understood why that is the case.
The last time I bought a battle pack there, which may have been 2 months ago, the price was $19.99. So $24.99 was a surprise to me. And I feel it's wrong if all other retail outlets offer them for $19.99.

Toys-R-Us has always had higher prices than your usual retail store (ex: Wal-Mart) but they have gotten out-of-hand. I had printed the online coupon for $5 off of a purchase of $25 or more. I needed to get another Capture of Tantive IV Battle Pack and a 25th anniversary Snake Eyes figure. I went to checkout, gave the cashier the coupon and it rang up $27.something I asked the cashier to hold the order while I checked the price. Snake Eyes was $5.99 and the five extra dollars on the battle pack I thought was a mistake. They have always been $19.99. When I checked the price it had went up to $24.99! Knowing that at Wal-Mart Snake Eyes was only $4.88 and the Battle Pack was only $19.96. I told TRU to forget it. I paid only $26.something at Wal-Mart. I paid less at Wal-Mart than with a $5 off coupon at Toys-R-Us.
It just gets me that even with a $5 off coupon it was cheaper to go to Wal-Mart.
I am going to go to the email contact section of the Toys-R-Us website and complain about this. I will let them know that they lost business yeterday (even with the coupon). I suggest you guys do the same. If enough people complain and avoid shopping there, they might get the message.

This 30AC drought's getting really friggin' old because, not much is around anywhere, save for the Obi's/R2's and odd Mace's most people are used to.
Amen brother! Darn Transformers - Taking all of Hasbro's attention! I'm waiting as patiently as I can for the Jedi Luke.

Same here - you have to be looking pretty closely IMO to find problems with this guy. When the 30 or so of this guy is mixed in with 90 other stormtroopers, I won't be noticing his slightly puffy helmet or whatever.
I gotta agree too. The helmet doesn't look that bad to me. I have two of these. My only complaints are one of 'em has one leg longer than the other (but that's kind of a cool novelty) and I don't care for the scarred face. Jango was scarred by something that happened in his life. Although these are his clones, they wouldn't have the same scars because the same event did not happen to them. Does that make sense to anyone?

VTSC Endor Han ought to work. I don't know about Luke. So far, many of the ball jointed head Lukes look really bad, nothing like Mark Hamill. Maybe one from the VOTC Line or VTAC Bespin Luke.

Yeah, but isn't there a problem with nearly every Star Wars figure? Besides that holster sucks. It's really not even a holster. It's just a plastic flap that you poke the gun through. Besides how often is a Stormtrooper's E-11 holstered? They're usually holding them in front of their chests or blasting something. I leave the blasters rubberbanded in my Stormies hands. It's easier than having to dig 'em out of the accesory bag and set 'em up. It's just there and ready to go.

If you're looking to build your army, might I recommend army building with the Capture of Tantive IV Battle Pack Stormtroopers rather than the TAC versions. The TAC's tend to have some problems (one leg longer than the other, easy for the helmet to go missing, the center chest articulation is hard to hide) I am much happier with my battle pack stormtroopers.
