With the full contents of 2021 TVC Wave 3 (https://www.jedidefender.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=25203.0) fully officially revealed now, I thought I'd get things kicked off on a thread for 2021 TVC Wave 4. Looks like a lot of them are going to be Canadian?

Someone on the Hasbro team must be a geography nerd as the 2021 code names have been continents, oceans, great lakes, mountain ranges, and canadian provinces for TVC. So far we've seen:
Atlantic, Arctic, Indian, Pacific
Himalayas, Rocky, Alps, Andes
Australia, Europe, Asia, America, Antarctica
Superior, Huron, Erie, Ontario
Labrador, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba, British Columbia, Alberta, Newfoundland
They have been using a lot of US States and Cities for the Black Series 6" code words. ;)

WTF, no respect for PEI?!?!?!?
-
Maul and Ahsoka do look great... but it's another Maul and another Ahoska.
It's all extremely boring.
-
Did Amazon have preorders up on Ahsoka and Maul yet? I ordered a case on EE but like to hedge my bets. I also missed Pulse because some of us have to work and aren’t at a computer all day to do it haha. Pulse sucks and has basically become useless to me. I can’t see a legit reason to stay a premium member now unless they can guarantee you figures at some point.
-
Yes Jesse they did go up on Amazon and since sold out.
-
That sucks ass. Oh well off to pay more I guess
-
Yes Jesse they did go up on Amazon and since sold out.
I missed the livestream and pre-orders (was busy on Friday :(), but was able to grab a pre-order on Maul today -
Here are the Amazon links in case anyone else wants to keep tabs on them coming back in stock.
TCW Mandalore Maul (https://amzn.to/3thlcEK)
TCW Mandalore Ahsoka (https://amzn.to/3pAVEA9)
-
They're listed as temporarily out of stock, so that's a good sign that they will get more.
-
I just pre-ordered a case of this wave (https://www.entertainmentearth.com/product/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-2020-action-figures-wave-7/hse7763g). EE has it listed, and the assortment is slated to be as follows:
3x Darth Maul
2x Ahsoka Tano
2x SW VIN NOVA SCOTIA
1x SW VIN NEW BRUNSWICK
(rumored to be Echo and Offworld Jawa)
And I placed the order out of a sense of complete frustration with retail. Why? I tried going to some Walmart stores that were supposed to have TVC inventory based on Brickseek results. And none of those panned out. I went one store that I've always considered to be a little off the beaten path. Previously I have had some good finds there with the 3.75" Black Series and 6" Black Series. But yesterday? There was absolutely nothing. Not one of those photos where there's some roleplay items, lightsabers and stuffies. At this store there was literally NOTHING. I couldn't even find where the Star Wars section should have been until I started looking really closely at peg tags. When I finally found the Star Wars pegs? There was product from other licenses there, but absolutely nothing Star Wars. If that's not discouraging I don't know what is.
-

I thought it was kind of strange that they didn't reveal Echo and Offworld Jawa during the Fan Fest. These are due in 3 months and they haven't even officially confirmed them yet but they confirmed the whole next repack wave and the Gaming Greats. So weird. Maybe they just forgot? :P
-
My only guess is that they're getting more promotional milage out of revealing 2 or 3 things every 3 or 4 weeks than they get out of revealing a bunch of stuff at Toy Fair and then again at Comic Con. Spreading it out maybe?
-
I'm guessing that the secrecy over the remaining two figures might have to do with the details. In this case perhaps Echo isn't going to be the ARC Trooper version we've seen, but rather his look in The Bad Batch? And there's also the possibility that there's going to be a reveal in conjunction with May the Fourth - it's basically Star Wars Day, plus it's the day that The Bad Batch debuts on Disney+.

Yeah, I guess maybe the Echo thing does tie into Bad Batch so maybe that's why. Just seems strange they'd reveal all of Wave 20 and part of Wave 21 before finishing the reveals for Wave 19.

Another weird scheduling thing...but why are IG-11 and Lando still not available for preorder (unless I missed it) when everything else they announce is available to order pretty much immediately?
-
The trailer already released for Bad Batch where you can see Echo in his new getup...
-
If that's the case, holding it back is probably more to do with a promotional tie-in.

So you honestly think they're going with an entire new sculpt of a figure when they have a popular figure from a multi-pack they can just single card. Also TVC hasn't gotten a single member of the Bad Batch?
When you dream, you dream in color my friend!
-
New sculpt or not, Echo ties into the Bad Batch. And Hasbro will almost certainly have something new to show for May the Fourth. Tying figure releases or announcements into a big promotional event like May the Fourth is marketing 101.
We also have to consider whether or not Hasbro is going to make any 3.75” figures from The Bad Batch. The 6” figures have already been revealed. And it’s worth mentioning that this is the first show to launch since Hasbro said that 5 POA figures are going “into the vault”. Outside of The Mandalorian and Clone Wars season 7, The Bad Batch is the next original Star Wars series on Disney Plus. All of the 3.75” figures from those two series have been Vintage Collection releases. That’s not an insignificant trend.
-
TVC Echo and Offworld Jawa pre-order coming up tomorrow 5/5 at 1pm ET... all major retailers.
-
My hopes of a Bad Batch Echo were dashed. But I think Hasbro will get to that in time.
The telling comment is that Hasbro is basically issuing all of the ARC Troopers from the 3-pack on mainline cards. I've been tempted to open up the 3-pack, but I'm going to leave it packaged. We now know that version of Echo is being released in the mainline, and it seems like eventually Hasbro will release Jesse that way, too.
Glad to see the Offworld Jawa! I am definitely going to be buying several. It's great to see Hasbro using softgoods for this figure. The number of accessories is amazing - 3 blasters, a bandolier and the Soogah egg? Nice!

To clarify (since someone asked on Twitter)
Basic Release = TVC Offworld Jawa
Razor Crest pack-in = TVC Offworld Jawa Elder (basic Offworld Jawa plus extra necklace, knife, open sooga egg)

It's good to see those distinctions. The potential for Haslab backers to wonder about just how exclusive the sweetener figures are is a consideration to keep in mind.
I am glad to see the Soogah egg coming intact with the mainline release. But releasing the egg brings you to a world-building question for the Vintage Collection - when is the current TVC line going to explore creatures? The Mudhorn from The Mandalorian has gained more significance, especially because of the signet. And there are existing creature toys that are potential fodder for re-release, like the Legacy Collection Dewback (a decent candidate), and the Bantha (not such a good candidate because it needs work).
-
And Echo is from the 3-pack yeah?
-
Carded collectors will probably like the Echo. That image is really nice.
Glad to see the Offworld Jawa. Might keep my Jawa Elder carded now.

Worked for me.

For those that have the exclusive pack that Echo is in, how's the articulation? I've been trying to decide if I want to preorder him, but it looks like the skirt area might make him sort of unposeable. Recommended figure?

It's a great figure. Well articulated. You won't be disappointed.

I'm looking forward to making a little Offworld Jawa clan for a Mandalorian diorama. I'm going to use the larger Disney sandcrawler. And I have to say, I appreciate one little detail about these new Jawas - the softgoods! Because I plan on taking off that cloak to set on the ground all by itself, as the remnants of at least one disintegrated Jawa!!!

Holy crap! That's brilliant!

Just got an email from Target that my Darth Maul and Ahsoka are backordered until July 22. I had to go in to Target.com and approve the delay otherwise they were going to cancel the order.
Make sure you keep an eye on any Target backorders and approve the delay. Kind of a different system then anyone else uses.
-
I ordered this case from EE back in April. At the time the delivery date was set for July. Well, it just got pushed back to October.
-
Hasbro Pulse sent out emails today pushing back Maul and Ahsoka orders to November. It seems like the solid cases of these particular characters are running behind, because I have seen numerous reports of people receiving the Arvala 7 Jawas from Walmart as well as the old Hasbro Toy Shop eBay account. Trying to make any sense of when product is going to arrive is increasingly pointless.
-
My EE order for Ahsoka and Maul (were sold out on Hasbro Pulse so I ordered from EE the day they released) is showing a ship date of March 2022! :o
BBTS is showing August so I ordered a couple of each from them.
-
Good catch... I have an EE order but just ordered a pair from BBTS too. Whichever ships first, I'll cancel the other.
-
Glad I could help Rob!
-
I ordered from Target and they've been pushed back the delivery by a few days about a dozen different times over the past couple of months, but they're still scheduled to ship by August 26th (2021).
-
I ordered a case of this wave from EE, and my card got charged yesterday. Was there any kind of email notification? Of course not. I saw the news in the Facebook TVC group and checked my EE account along with my credit card. FFS, how difficult is it to communicate with customers???
-
That's kind of odd, they always let me know when a pre-order is getting processed.
It's weird that all the full case orders are being processed and all the single orders are having to wait.
-
I've seen accounts of people receiving the new Jawa from EE. I think the order processing is usually a first in, first out kind of deal with a lot of things. I saw some people shared the dates that they ordered this case going back as far as January. I looked at my own order and was surprised to see that was at the end of April. But I think the trend with some TVC collectors is to just order the case blind, regardless of what's in it. I only ordered it when I knew that Maul and Ahsoka were in the case.
It also seems like processing complete case orders does get priority treatment not just from EE, but other online retailers, too. How that works with EE's mint guarantee is curious though, if they're just sending out a case in another box. But from a processing standpoint I could see how etailers could fulfill those whole case orders relatively quickly.
As for individual figures? Again, I think the EE mint guarantee is a complicating factor, and BBTS has a similar kind of guarantee. Putting some of those orders of individual figures together takes time. I was surprised to see my Gaming Greats Purge Trooper and Heavy Battle Droid both shipped on the same day, but in separate boxes. It must just be easier to box up 3 Purge Troopers in one box and 2 Heavy Battle Droids in the other.
-
I see your point Nick, and I wouldn't have an issue with cases being sent out and then processing the individual orders. However, they should have ordered enough cases of this wave to satisfy both the full case orders and the individual orders. Pretty much ever figure in this wave collectors want. I just don't understand why my single orders are delayed until next spring without any explanation.
What really chaps my ass is that Australia and the UK are seeing this stuff way before us and while I'm happy they get new stuff as well, I'd like to see some stuff here from time to time!
-
I saw a news piece earlier today that discussed the supply chain issues that are being felt on a global scale. Part of it seems to be a shortage of shipping containers. And more rigorous Covid protocols at ports of entry has slowed down freight processing, too. That's led to a backlog of containers that are waiting to be inspected and then distributed to their end recipients.
-
My order got pushed again by Target - now to early September.
-
It's weird that all the full case orders are being processed and all the single orders are having to wait.
90% of the time these days, the single figure pre-orders are being fulfilled from solid-figure cases rather than by breaking up the retail mix cases. It's one of the reasons the etailers can offer up the "short pack" figures in good numbers since they can pick and choose what they think will sell best.
I saw a news piece earlier today that discussed the supply chain issues that are being felt on a global scale.
Yeah, it sounds like a LOT of the Fall Star Wars product is going to be really hit or miss on delays depending on when/where it left (China vs Vietnam) and which port it is entering the US. Get used to seeing the "your order has been delayed emails" I guess...
-
My ahsoka maul case is due here fairly soon... I’m glad and all and I may cancel my extras I put in for on Amazon depending. Be nice to have some new Star Wars.
-
Ordered Maul and Ahsoka from Gamestop. Both went from something like "ready to ship" on 8/16 or 8/18 to "awaiting product availability". Now Maul says available 8/27. We'll see. Hoping these are finally getting through for everyone.
-
After pushing out the order a dozen times Target finally sent me a cancellation email for Maul and Ahsoka.
I wonder if these will ever make it to retail or online in any meaningful numbers.
-
I’m still trying to track my order from EE. Amazingly there have been some status updates, but no clarity about when I can actually expect delivery.
-
They’re up for preorder again. ::)

Well that's a kick to the nuts.
I managed to re-preorder Maul, but Ahsoka was sold out...

Muhahahahahaha!!!!
My case is finally arriving today. It's about time!
-
Just got an email from EE with an estimated ship date of March, 2022.
-
Rob, is that for individual orders or did you order a case?
-
I'd only ordered one of each.
-
I think I'll head over to BBTS and see what they're saying.
-
It was faster there last I checked... I feel bad about it, but I also managed to get an order in with Target the other day... I'll just cancel whichever two don't ship first. But I hope it's Target, the total was like $11 less because there was no shipping charge.
-
Bbts I find to be slower since I think they get off EE but they push stuff back later on their site too. Like the month it’s due they move the goal post.
-
Solid packing job by EE. As much as I grouse about the speed (or lack thereof) of their shipping to the East coast, the case within a box makes sure that it gets to me intact.
As for Hasbro and the case assortment? Grrrrr. This is the way the wave 4 case is packed:
3 x Darth Maul (Mandalore)
2 x Ahsoka Tano (Mandalore)
2 x Jawa (Arvala 7)
1 x ARC Trooper Echo
I've been keeping a set of new TVC releases carded, and thankfully these got to me in excellent condition. I'll get around to opening Maul, Ahsoka and a Jawa. But I'm waiting for my Amazon order with extras of Echo and the Jawa before I open up an Echo figure. I've also got extras of Ahsoka and Maul on order from Hasbro Pulse. At some point, when cons can really resume safely, it would be awesome to get both Sam Witwer and Ashley Eckstein to sign the Mandalore Maul and Ahsoka.
-
I ordered Jawa and Maul from Amazon and both have updated to shipping this week... we'll see if that turns out to be true or not.
Ahsoka I missed at Amazon so I ordered from BBTS - no news from them yet, pre-order still says August arrival.
-
Jeff- you're saying your's from Amazon changed from a later date to shipping this week? Mine have said Sep 3 all along but I wasn't confident that would hold up with these delays
-
My order for Echo and the Arvala 7 Jawa also had the September 3rd delivery date for some time. I've been checking my Amazon orders and it hasn't really updated, except for the fact that September 3rd is this Friday, so the order information reflects that. I'm going to keep checking that order for any status updates in the next day or two.

No, just the text change like Nick said. Used to say "Arriving September 3rd" and now say "Arriving Friday".
-
My Target order is estimated for 9/2 to 9/8.
-
My order with dorksidetoys is still slated for september with no updates.
-
All 4 have or are prepping to ship from Amazon.
-
(https://pbs.twimg.com/media/E-BCT75XoAE3Dxi.jpg)
I cannot stop raving on these new figs. Their articulation design is a notch above. Subtle changes make all the difference, but Hasbro reengineered some things and it was a home run choice.
-
Now Target is saying 9/15.
Here we go…
-
Someone posted side by side comparisons of this new Darth Maul with the previous TVC release. The difference is like night and day! The new version of Maul looks like you're looking at Ray Park in the makeup in miniature form.
-
Glad to see that there might be a way to find these at retail. Yakface (https://yakfaceforums.com/main/2021/09/01/new-tvc-hitting-macys-in-fl/) posted a photo of a well stocked Macy's toy section with this wave.
-
All 4 have or are prepping to ship from Amazon.
Well, it's Friday and no updates from Amazon for me yet. Maybe they'll get here next week? #fingerscrossed (http://jedidefender.com/jsmentek/crossfingers.gif)
-
My Jawas are out for delivery, but nothing else has shipped yet even though it says arriving today.
-
I found a whole case of this wave still boxed on a pallet at Walmart over lunch. I was super excited til I noticed that literally every single figure in the box had a jacked up card. I bought the best 2 Mauls, 2 Ahsokas and Echo. Who knows if I’ll ever see them again the way things are going lately. Nice figures for sure. :)
-
My Amazon order for Echo and the Arvala Jawa got moved back to next week. They gave me a date range and not a specific date, but it’s within about a week.
-

Ditto for me. Jawa is expected 9/14-9/23 and Maul is expected 9/16-9/23.

Boo! My Amazon Jawas got pushed back to October 1st today.
-
I have two Jawas ordered with Amazon, and naturally, got the same email today.
-
I found another case of these at Walmart and again the cards were jacked up, slightly less so than the first ones I saw, but noticeably bent.
-
My Amazon orders are showing the following:
Jawa (Arvala 7) - Sept 14 -22
ARC Trooper Echo - Sept 18 - 28
As for my extras of Maul and Ahsoka from HasbroPulse? Who knows???

Same here - to get the email last week then they ship out on the US Labor Day holiday to get here tomorrow? So weird. Hope Maul isn't too far behind them.
As for Ahsoka (who I pre-ordered at BBTS) no signs of anything happening there yet.
-
My Jawas from Amazon are still listed as second half of September.
-
I just checked my Amazon orders, and it seems that the delivery dates have changed again. The 6 Jawas I ordered are now going to arrive tomorrow, but Echo is still slated for later in the month.
-
Target shipped my Maul and Ahsoka. So that’s nice.
-
I just wandered into one of the mini-Targets here in the city and found two Jawas.
I couldn't believe my eyes.
-
First I’ve heard of that wave at a Target.
My Amazon Jawa extras shipped last weekend sometime. Sooga sooga sooga sooga!
-
They had two Ahsoka's and a Maul too. I left those.
-
Yeah so far I’d only seen reports from Walmart and I think Macy’s on those.
-
The Maul and Ahsoka I'd ordered from Target.com shipped and arrived yesterday too, that's why I left those ones in the store...
-
Entertainment Earth came through and shipped the two Darth Mauls from my pre-order. Still no sign of Ahsoka arriving before March 2022.
Here's my review and comparison if interested. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF7NEzbzQTE)

Got Maul from Amazon today... nothing from BBTS on Ahsoka yet. Hopefully I'm not waiting until March 2022 but I guess I'll just have to wait and see. :-\

Received Ashoka and Maul from Amazon over the past week, very nice figures. Nice to get something new too!

Great review! And thanks for the reminder about the Sith Speeder! I totally forgot about that thing, and now I need to find mine.
-
I was surprised to see so many store reports of people finding this wave on social media. So I figured that I would just take a look for it at my local Walmart. Part of it was because Echo was short-packed and I wanted to have at least an extra or two of that figure. Plus - more Jawas! And when I found the wave on the pegs? It was almost stunning. Maybe the impact of people posting pictures of empty Star Wars pegs on social media and tagging Hasbro finally paid off? This wasn't like the heyday of the line, but it was refreshing to finally see something other than just one sad Black Series figure hanging on a peg.
So has anyone else spotted this wave in the wild? And if so, in what kind of quantities?
-
Nicklab remind me, where are you located? New York?
-
North Jersey
-
Nice, so they're on the east coast.

Been to Action Park lately? ;D

Not since the 80's, LOL. After watching the docs about it I'm shocked that I didn't suffer a spinal injury after my 3 or 4 visits.
-
You and me both! Loved going there as a kid when we were immortal and invincible! ;D
-
The day after I put an Echo back on the pegs, my 6 year old told me he's asking Santa for Echo for Christmas. And naturally, the pegs at Target were completely empty when I went back. Does anyone have an extra they're willing to sell or trade? It looks like he's back-ordered online for early 2022.
