When this line first started i told myself i wouldnt buy multiple characters in different outfits, but i want this one (and probably will want the other ones too). I will be trying for this one as well.

I guess it could be the "death star plans" which was some kind of disc right? Then again that would be sort of a lame exclusive. So, yeah a stormtrooper blaster sounds about right. I supposed maybe a small, translucent blue statue of her being a hologram?

What about an ITO Interrogation Droid exclusive? That'd be pretty cool...
I've stayed away from these 12" figures, but this Leia is so nice. I am tempted to get her, but I know that then I'd want the ANH Han to go with her... then I'd want a Chewie to go with Han, then the Chess table, etc etc etc. :P

I'm in the same boat for the most part. I bought the initial Bespin Han, justifying it because Han is my favorite character - the ESB my favorite movie - and I've always enjoyed the "Bespin look" of Han. After I got it, I wanted more, and for awhile considered collecting all the OT-based ones. Then the Jabba set was announced, and I knew I would never be able to keep up financially with that line - especially if I wanted to buy anything else. Now, seeing this Leia, I'm awfully tempted to place a preorder for this one next week. But, I know if I get this Leia, I want an ANH Han. Then I always intended to get a Chewie (to go with Han), and then I'd want a Luke as well. Well, then I'd want the droids, and a Vader, and probably a Stormtrooper - anyways, its a slippery slope for me, I know that. It is awfully tempting though :).

It looks as though I'm going to get this one. I'm very picky with 12" though, both due to the price and that I have customized some Hasbro ones into better versions. The only SSC I have is Bib, and I can't remember- but do we see more photos before the preorder? Are there full views already somewhere on the site?

I can not remember for certain. However, I do not think they reveal all their photos until the item is up for pre-order. I could be wrong though.

I thought about that, but why would Imperials so be so in tune to give her binders that match her outfit? Its just a weak exclusive, weaker than the extra Womp rat.

It's okay. I hate the fact that they have exclusives to begin with. Just include all the accesories exclusives or not. But that's me. Anyway, I am really liking her boots :) The binders do have a kinky edge to it as well...if you let your mind fall into the gutter. Ha-ha! I will have to get this one.

Looks like a sweet piece. Just ordered one. Am glad she has both blasters she used in the movie, and the death star plans are cool...i Just hope they make an R2 one day that she can slip them in to.

Got my regular edition ordered. I would normally wait to buy a character with a more complex outfit for the money, but is there any more iconic outfit other than Luke and Vader for ANH? I think not!

I was in a meeting, so I missed out on the exclusive. Luckily it wasn't a cool one like Han's Mynock. I'm happy with the regular edition.

Same deal here- I was supporting a conference and didn't actually remember to order it until Saturday. I'm not too worried about not having the binders. As I display them all loose, most of the accessories stay in the boxes anyways.

A few days makes a big difference... I actually cancelled my order, I just don't think this is "worth" $65. Checking on eBay, I saw several Bibs and Hans for $45-50 shipped, so I'm going to wait and see how low I can get her for.

I just seen over at sideshowcollectors.com that people have already received their Princess Leia!!?? I don't even show a pending charge on my credit card yet and others are already receiving her....has anyone from here gotten a shipping notice yet?
EDIT: I just noticed Chris mention in the Luke-Bespin thread he has a shipping notice and will receive her Friday. I double checked my order and I ordered the exclusive one....man....that bites - I would have liked to get her the same time everyone else does. *sigh - off to mope in the corner*

Same here. First I get the invoice email, the QuantumView sends me a shipping notice and then SS sends the shipping notice. I'm glad I called because I have a feeling that if I didn't, it might not have been processed for quite some time!!

Cool, I'm glad you guys were able to get Sideshow to ship them out. It sucks being the last person to get something. Everyone else is enjoying their stuff and you just have to look at the pictures. :-\
Makes me wonder though, how many other people are in the same situation.

Mine is set to show up next Wednesday. I'm surprised we haven't seen any 12" preorders for a while. I think we only have Kenobi, Padme, and Praji left right now.

I missed the pre-order window on this one due to a meeting at work on the Friday it went up for sale. Just found out today that my wait-list request for the Sideshow Exclusive edition came through! woohoo!
I was getting nervous on this one! Hopefully I'll get lucky with that Imperial Officer too - same thing happened to me on that one.

Leia showed up Friday afternoon and i have to say I'm really happy with my purchase. The face sculpt looks a lot better person than the pictures and the hair sculpt which bothered me in the pictures actually works very good her outfit is very simple and I only have one gripe about the hood. The seam is very thick and runs down the middle, and I couldn't get it to sit right on her head.
The big surprise was the blaster rifle. The detail is incredible and the shoulder stock totally extends. I believe the scope is removable too but I haven't tried to yet.

I know what you mean the binders seem pretty insignificant. But as it turns out, for me, I picked up that RAH Stormie at SWS during the Black Friday sale and I intend to recreate a Leia capture scene using them.

I thought I'd picked up the Exclusive but apparently not. Oh well. I really think the likeness is better in reality though I think the head is a little on the large side for the body and the hands also seem a bit big. I too dislike the hood... very hard to get it to look "normal".. they could have easily done a better job with it.
All in all, happy with everything but the price...

Overall, what does everyone think of this Leia figure? I haven't bought a Sideshow 12" figure since the Bespin Han (just couldn't keep up - financially), but recently preordered the Smuggler Han on BBTS (hopefully that works out). It got me thinking about trying to just get an "A New Hope" set up of the main characters from this line, if I'm able to afford it. Anyways, I was thinking about ordering the Leia and I was curious to hear everyone's opinions on this figure. I thought a set up of Han/Luke/Leia (and maybe, in the future, the droids, Chewie, and Vader) would look kind of nifty.
