I agree, the snowspeeder Luke sculpt is so much better.  It looks much more like a natural human body than the X-Wing Luke (especially hate those huge shoulders).

Nice pics, Anton - and nice score.

The height of the Luke sculpt doesn't bother me, it's the sculpt itself.  I always felt the arms look too big for the body.

I'd say in every way it's vastly superior Lando...

The paint aps are wildly superior to the MH one, and the sculpt is also a good notch above.  The articulation almost is a non-issue since the MH one is probably "good enough" for many, but this one of course is a lot more heavily articulated.

I'd say, honestly, the paint aps and sculpt are where it's head and shoulders above MH though.  One looks like a toy, and one looks like a little replica.

I felt the same way, until yesterday when I received my order from BBTS.  I actually think the MH one looks a lot better and more like the movie character.  The only thing I like more about the TVC one is that it can sit on a Kaadu.

I've seen a bit of that wave too... not much though.  It's a great wave, I really hope that it starts showing up more.

I've seen remnants of this wave near me over the past few days.  It's nice to know that it's hitting the stores, but it would be nice to see it in more significant numbers.

Guessing you're talking about the Galen Marek/Shae Vizsla wave?

Hmmm... I wonder if it's going to go on a promo endcap or something?

I ended up hitting over a dozen Dollar General stores in June/July and never saw a single one of those figures.  Bah.

Nice reference pics, Nicklab.  I'd buy all of those in a heartbeat... multiples of most!

I don't buy any of this stuff, but man, that thing looked ridiculous.  Even if I was a diehard fan of Marvel/etc., that thing would be a letdown... Hasbro needs to go all out for things like this, or don't go at all.  It reminds me of some of their weak attempts at Star Wars playsets in the past.

Saw the Joe ninja suv and the Joe 1/2 Hiss Tank thingy over the weekend.  Meh... Guess that's all that's new until next year?

Where did you see the SUV?  I've seen the Tread Ripper (or whatever it is at Target twice the past week, bought one to save for my son).

I saw the Helicarrier thing at TRU the other day.  It looked a lot smaller than I expected, and kind of silly because it was so small.  It was $69.99.  They had two of them.

Hasbro has already indicated that in 2013, there won't be a "Big One" - or at least not a new mold... I don't know how much influence the MTT's success or failure will have on future big items, but I think for Hasbro, a Sail Barge should be a no-brainer regardless of what it does.  Same goes for a killer Death Star playset.  However, I can see the point of view from retailers not wanting another big ticket item if they lose money on the MTT.
