The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Recent Clone Wars Finds/Purchases
« on: April 17, 2009, 10:46 PM »
Picked up one each of the TRU Exclusive Clone Wars vehicles w/figure.  :-\

Ouch.....I feel bad for the two of everything people out there on these things.  Makes me feel better that I'm not a completest anymore though.  $$

I'm normally a 2x of everything kind of guy, but I'm not touching these with a 10ft pole.  If you buy a lot of repack stuff, Hasbro will continue to make a lot of repack stuff, so I'll pass.  I'd love to see these sit forever as a message that we don't need more repack crap at collector prices.

The Bullpen / Marvel Universe
« on: April 17, 2009, 10:42 PM »
On the Marvel Universe side of things, this line seems to be selling very well around here.  I see a few figures here and there, but it is usually just Spidey, Black/Silver Wolvie, and Johnny Storm.  Target and TRU are often sold out, and there's just a few stragglers at WM.

I'm definitely seeing very few of these on the pegs with the exception of KMart and their $10 price per fig.   ::)  It sure seems like they're selling through well, though who knows how much they're actually shipping compared to some of the other lines out there.  I certainly thought they would peg warm more than this at the $8+ price point.

Thanks to Jay for prompt payment on a small-head vintage Han.  Enjoy!

And I just gave the money back plus interest for some OTC figs.  Great transaction as always!

I'm starting to feel like a dealer here!  More props to Steve on prompt payment for Legacy Obi and a pair of TAC figs (even if it was a check!  ;) ).  Hope you enjoy them!

I actually picked up the last Ratchet at my local Target yesterday. I was pleased he was still there. I also picked up a Soundwave Mugg, since I'm nuts for all things Soundwave and it was on sale.  :)

I pick up that stupid Soundwave MM every time I go to Target and it takes just about all of my will power to walk away from it.  If I had any space at all for Muggs/Transformers, I don't think I could resist.  :-[

TV-9D9 / Re: Upcoming SW Live-Action TV Show Discussion!
« on: April 10, 2009, 01:02 PM »
I really don't see the problem with Ahsoka.  Why would she be in the movies or even mentioned?  She's around for the Clone Wars, which takes place after EII and prior to EIII.  I presume by the third movie that she's either been reassigned or promoted or killed off, but I can't think of a scene in the movie where Anakin really needs to mention her or where she "should" have come up.  You don't see Anakin talking a lot about anyone in the movies other than his mom, Padme, and Obi-Wan and yet he had childhood friends on Tatooine, training and missions with other jedi, etc.

As for the show, I'm still hoping on a storyline that centers around Fett learning his trade and/or the continuation of the Jedi purge.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Collection Comic Packs

I kind of hate that Luke and R2 are in that list. Again.   ::)  Hopefully this is just a repack that I won't mind skipping.

That's an awesome display Anton.  Do you keep this around all year or did you set up just temporarily?

I don't think snipping should be allowed - especially from the front.

I really liked TAB but could be just the nostalgia talking.

Is this a book or are you referring to the carbonated beverage?  Maybe you should hang out with my Aunt...

I know what I am talking about and I do mean CONTEXT.

The picture posted before Jesse's posted would give the 4 posts CONTEXT. Without the picture all 4 posts loose that CONTEXT eventhough they are about the same thing.

Are you saying that because the posts didn't repaste the picture every time they are no longer in context?  That might be even more ridiculous than the quoting with large gaps between phrases.  The point of a thread within a forum is to provide context and I would argue that recent posts about the same topic are IN CONTEXT.

Back OT:

...catching your fellow posters when they had a little slip of the tongue........... :D
