Thanks!  It was quite a labor of love, not to mention a severe pocket book drain.

Well, let's see: I see about 10 rows of 14 cases = 140 cases @ a couple bucks each...

Yeah, I'd say it must have been a heck of a pocket book drain.   :o

Looks pretty impressive to see all those Kubricks together like that though!

Having free shipping from New York certainly helped.  I just rationalized it by considering it like a chase figure or 2.  To be honest, it was quite painful opening all of my chase figures, did you notice all the carded figs I opened.  I could practically hear their worth draining as I cut open the plastic... :'(

I see it now.  Really nice set up.

Thanks!  It was quite a labor of love, not to mention a severe pocket book drain.

Damn that's impressive.  Why are Boba, Han and Obi Wan facing sideways?

That shot is actually from the left side of "Mount Kubrick."  If you want to check out more pics, I have them here.  Cheers.

Here's a couple shots of my Medicom clear display cases interlocked...  I'm not sure if Toytokyo.com has any left, however when I called them recently to order some, they stated that they had a ton of them (and can get more) even though the web page had stated that they were out at that time.  Maybe worth a phone call if you are interested.

I'm sorry Adam.  My 2 robby MC's left me blue snagless as well (Both were like Jeff and Brent's placements).  Thanks for reminding me about the eBay coupons.  Those certainly will take a bit of the sting out of some purchases.

There was an entire set of nine for 269.99 that was gobbled up pretty fast.  Considering that a series 5 set includes a pair of highly desirable 1/96's (as well as a 2/48) I think that might of been a deal.  I expect the walrusman and blue snag to settle down near the 110 mark on the open market.  Consider that buying 2 master cases only nets you a 50% chance of completing a set- without having to trade- I'd say this estimate may prove to be too low.  Only time (as well as production numbers) will tell.

That Boba.jp site (something like that) will probably have the first pictures again, so I`ll
put them back into my rotation if I can find the link..

Adam, I believe the site you are referring to is Slave1.jp .  I will be checking it daily as well.

However, it troubles me a bit that there does not seem to be as many releases planned for the Kubrick line as is per usual.

How so Scott?  We received two regular series this year and there's a box TRU set on the way.  Isn't that about par for the course?  The Rebo band was an extra to be sure, but otherwise it seems fairly normal to me.

I've not been too anxious, waiting for the magic day each month (24th?) to see if anything is announced.  I wasn't expecting anything until probably next spring with series 6.  Maybe another box after the TRU set, like the Rebo bands timing, but that's about it.

Sorry, I was actually referring to the Kubrick World in general.  You're absolutley correct in that we are being spoiled with the Star Wars line; I just hope that it continues and does not taper off like other lines have.

Just received word from Robby.jp that Star Wars Kubricks Series 5 has been postponed til the end of November.  Not too surprised as this seems to be about par for the course for them of late.  I personally feel its their way of trying to increase demand and exposure.  On my calendar, when they say end of October, I plan on on end of November to begin with.  However, it troubles me a bit that there does not seem to be as many releases planned for the Kubrick line as is per usual.

Just want to thank everyone who bid on my recent auctions; it certainly was an unbelievable gesture.  I was really worried with about 12 hours to go, but was very satisfied with the outcome.  I've taken today and tommorrow off from work in order to pack and ship everything, and the spouse has just run out to Sam's club to get some more bubble wrap.  I'm trying to do my best Simon (ebay ID: Knunt) impersonation and personally reply to each bidder and get the stuff out the door as quickly and safely as possible.  Thanks again guys for all of the support.

I'd like to definitley see Boushh and a Blue Snag; however I wonder if a Blue Snag is a distinct poosibilty or not.  Seeing as the chase or variant normally replaces one of the 4 out of 12 characters, will they really produce a ton of Red Snags to accomodate this.  I can see army building with sandtroopers, ewoks, and jawas, but Red Snags?  My money is on an orange/brown snake variant Yoda for sure.

Thanks guys!  We are actually very upbeat though.  My sister has recently moved down into my area after being displaced by Hurricane Katrina.  She was in her third year of law school at Tulane in New Orleans, and thankfully (Stetson) a local school has offered to take her in for the semester.  Stetson is waiving her tuition and giving her a place to stay, as the financial aid she was expecting fell through.  She is surprisingly very upbeat for someone who is without all of her belongings,  so I felt inspired to help by selling some of mine.  If only just to take the sting out of some inevitable credit card debt.  The decision was basically automatic; however I must admit to considering keeping the chase figures... :)

Hi Guys,

Well doomsday has hit me.  Just when I finally complete the entire Star Wars Kubrick set, a family emergency arises.  So I have just put up for auction every kubrick Star Wars set, Chase, box set, Carded, Parco's, dual 400% Fetts, and a crap load of Johnny lightning display cases.  Not to mention my complete set of carded vintage fetts, etc.  Kind of sick about it, but right now it is certainly for the best.  I'm going to try and keep my non SW kubricks for as long as I can and hopefully I can begin buying these back some day.  Spouse factor will decide, though!  What kind of stinks is that I was going to spend this weekend setting up a display and taking pictures of the whole thing.  I guess the good thing is that I failed to open anything, yet.  Would have sucked if I opened everything and had to sell a day later.  Oh well, I will still be around lurking from time to time...just a bit teary-eyed is all.

edit: Sorry, linking to your own eBay auctions is not allowed.   :(  Anyone interested can just search eBay for seller "thestealthtank" and find them themselves though...
