A new "Clone Wars" Gunship is coming out sometime this year, and there's rumors that it will have more fire-power to it... I am happy with my Gunship, but I would love if the following changes/etc were made...
+ Cabin Size +
I HATE how small the cabin size is. I can barely fit my Clone Pilot in the cabin. Hopefully Hasbro will widen the holes a little bit.
+ Turrets +
I HATE the ball-turrets that come with the Clone Pilot. I'd like to see some turrets like what are on the Gunships wing, that is, clear with electronics and wires visible on the inside. I've seen some nice customs of a Clone in turret, but I doubt Hasbro would make a large turret as a pack-in.
+ Pack-In Clones +
I'm pretty sure the "Clone Wars" Gunship will come with 2 re-hased Clone Pilots along with their turrets... No changes to the figures or the turrets, of course.
What'd I'd like to see packed in is...
2 Clone Pilots (rehash)
2 turrets similar to wing turrets
1 Speeder Bike (rehash)
1 Clone Scout
How about you guys who are interested? What do you wanna see?

If the thing came with some pilots or even some plain white troopers that would be great. Even better if the were not pre posed in the wierd stance
Also a redesigned turret ball like you mentioned would be a super addition.

I think that when Hasbro promises more fire power they might be adding electronic's, maybe it will make a few noises now **whoop d f'n do**.The gunship totally looks like it was originally supposed to come with electronics in the first place, or they just included a cool spot on the wings to stash pot :). I wouldn't hold my breath on the pack-in's.Come On Hasbro, please prove me wrong ::)

I've seen a wholesale sheet that indicates there will be two different Gunships issued for this year. The Clone Wars version appears to be only different packaging, and possibly an alternate paint job. The wholesale price for this is $22.
Then, there's the Gunship with added firepower. This one wholesales for approximately $30 or more. It's probably the one that includes 3 Clone Troopers and may have electronics. There are already battery sized compartments in the base of the wings, and the rocket launchers on the top of the ship seem light capable. Just look at the transparent rockets...perfect lightpipe.

I would like to see the turrets on the side have a green light effect to them when you press something. Sound effects are a given vote but actually i would love to hear the "lift off " sound that the gunships made in the film. I thought that was a very cool sound effect.
Now if only Hasbro could make a SW astroid that blew apart and made the " sonic charge " effect.. ...yeah buddy...

Very interesting, Nick. I didn't know that anyone had a clue about the price range of the 'added fire-power' Gunship. Thanks for posting this, I for one have been educated! $30 isn't bad at all for an electronic Gunship with a couple of Clones. 8)

still an electronic gunship is still worth picking up.

I will be picking up one of these ships. It is painted different so therefore to me it is a new ship. If it was just a repack with no new paint deco ect I would pass. But it appears to be battledamaged. :)
I already have X2 Clone Pilots for this ship.

being that I only recently GOT the origonal gunship and other than paint, this is nothing new, I'll pass. But the ship is STILL so cool anyways!

Other than adding some electronic sounds, the only thing I'd change are the weak firing missles. My slave1 can shoot it's missles pretty far. The other best feature about it is that it has footpegs for the hard-to-stand-up clone troopers and a space made for the deluxe clone speeder bike. I still really dig this ship!!! ;D

as much as I like the gunship, I don't about the new colors. But the ship is still the coolest thing. :)

Not for me. I'm just not feeling the re-paint, to be honest. The black is cool, but why not make it a true variation by painting a new scheme entirely? 21st Century has several re-paints to their vehicles/planes and it makes the vehicles completely different looking so you don't feel like you just bought 2 of something. This Gunship doesn't pull it off for me - sorry.
The battle damage sucks, too, it's like there was a head-wind strong enough to rip the paint off of the ship, giving it a Migrane Zebra look... Whatever happened to the blast marks?

I also like this ship but I am not going to buy this version unless I find it on sale or something. I have three of the other gunship already.

Looks pretty nice to me, since I generally like black details. I'll be waiting for it to arrive in stores though. No sense in paying an extra $8 + shipping just to get one from EE right now. Hopefully I can even snag one at a decent sales price from Target, rather than the full $30 price tag.

I'd get it if I didn't already have a fleet of Gunships. Looks cool anyhow. If I see it for $15 I might get it just to add color variety, but these things are big and I've already got 3 open and 1 boxed.

Ouch! Man oh man, I am an opener and mine is on a table behind me and I looked over and said insane. I would never pay that much. Better to have bought it with Ep. III earlier this year if you never got one. It would have been nice to reissue some clone trooper/gunners with the ball turrets on the side that have the updated helmet etc.

People paying these ridiculous ebay prices are EXACTLY the root cause for why we bitch later about all the scalpers in our SW isles at the stores.
Sorry if your one of them- but it's flatly the REAL reason. These guys(team scalp) are funded by us shooting ourselves in the foot.

What I would like to see is a perfectly scaled to the figures version (proper height, width, length, etc.), With the interior cabin beneath the cockpit, the four slot rack for the speeder bikes, properly sized side mounted bubble turrets, with the roof of the troop bay having the equipmint netting, NO ACTION FEATURES!!! and real ball turrets in the front. That would be the best vheicle ever.
Oh yeah, with SA clone pilot and trooper packin figures, and a Cargo version, as seen in EP II, with AT-TE sold separately.
I would pay very well for those, easily $100- $200 for each one, who's with me on this?

Sorry, not interested. Wouldn't it be like the size of a riding lawnmower? I'll stick with the $40 deformed version that actually fits on top of my bookshelf. :)

Actually no it wouldn't be all that big... A to-scale Gunship would be only a little bigger than the toy's dimensions overall... It's not a huge vessel as SW ships go.
I'm a big fan of to-scale ships myself, but I just resign myself to the fact it doesn't happen in this line from this company. It's disappointing when I have the vehicles from the military lines I collect next to SW ships though and my military line's planes dwarf a SW ship. ;D Customizing ships is the route I go though and I gave up buying every Hasbro vehicle then because I just am not that into the deformed looks of them and stuff.

i'm a very big fan of the clone wars line! but i just don't see the hype over this particular gunship! the original CW gunship is very cool and the new 06' gunship is just awsome. i just don't understand why the price is so high for a black canopy and some other black deco? i'd love to have one, but only for my MIB collection. these are still getting a high price too, even with all the other gunship release's. mabey one of these days they'll come down a bit.....
