I liked Jerry's Kubricks so much that I decided to buy more!  Nabbed a Sacul and Jar Jar.  They arrived lightning fast and in great shape.  Thanks Jerry!

Well, as a Packer fan deep in Minnesota territory, nothing would ruin my week/month/year more than seeing the Vikes win a Super Bowl.  We have to deal with enough anti-packer BS day in and day out - having the purple finally win one would be pure agony.  I won't be at all surprised to see them go and win, but I will be dissapointed if it ends up that way and may need to ask my boss if I can just telecommute until next season.

Anyone else up here catch the funny bit on KFAN yesterday?  A bunch of guys from a station in Dallas called up to give the Common Man a hard time, since they apparently just beat MN in hockey this week.  Apparently they felt that was big payback for the Vikings knocking the Cowboys out of the playoffs.  Common had some hilarious come backs to put them in their place, but the best line came from one of the Dallas guys as they were signing off.  He asked, "Hey Common, you sure you got room in the trophy case for another Lombardi trophy?"  Priceless.

Go Saints!

You could give them to me  :P

Really like the new display, it's a nice idea sticking related bricks together.

Nice One.

Yah, I shouldn't complain about getting some more nice chases.   :-[  Thanks for the feedback - I'm a checklist guy and it was hard to break from that, but I really love the revised display.

I nabbed a Rancor for $12.98 and Target Exclusive Battle Packs for $17 at Target today.  Still no sign of the ESB wave.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a free stand and I'm quite ok with that, regardless of the gaming pieces.

I am glad there's a stand included too - at least it's not a total waste for non gamers.

I think it's okay, and even better knowing the ears are removable.  It's the $20 price tag I'm not a fan of.  I get exclusives cost more, but what kind of profit are they making on this?  800%?  I'm a little tired of paying ridiculous prices for exclusives, especially when it's a half-sized figure with almost no articulation.  Unless the price comes down, it's an easy pass for me.

I found a huge rack of MP Skywarp at a Walmart I don't get to very often.  They were all still full price, but it's a good looking TF.  If that store ever decides to have a deep discount on them I might see about picking one up.

   E...

I definitely want that one, but I'm not paying $60 for it. I'd consider $40 or less though.

I was hoping to grab one on clearance as well.  Doesn't seem as well detailed as Starscream...my limit is $35.

Revamped my Kubrick display this weekend and wanted to see what people think.  I usually display my stuff by collection or series, but decided it would be fun to see different versions of each character next to each other.

So, I started with Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, R2, & C3PO in the middle.  I put all the Hans, Lukes, etc next to each other, then flexed out the gaps with remaining characters.  The top cases are split with stages of Vader/Anakin in the center followed by Imperials on the left and Jedi, clones, cantina aliens, and droids on the right.  The bottom row (above my BSG mates) is the Fett Family and S1 bounty hunters.

Now I just have to figure out what to do with Sacul, Jar Jar, and the Rebo Band.   :P

I get that, but I think the coins and the B.A.D. pack-ins were used as part of the overall excuse for all the price increases.  It just rings hollow when they switch to these (which probably cost next to nothing to make) and the price stays the same.

Did Hasbro ever state that as an excuse for the price increase?  I think that rationale was created by the collecting community to help justify the increased pricing, but I'm not sure Hasbro did/would subscribe to that.  I think their price increases were part driven by increased supply chain costs and part driven by an opportunity to raise pricing when prices of everything else are going up.
