If you liked John Adams, might I also suggest reading "1776."  Excellent read, also by McCulloch about the early part of the war and the struggles of the American army.

Congrats on the wedding.

Even though you've been together 10 years, I'm sure there are still some surprises in store for you guys.  Best of luck to you both and a super happy wedding and marriage.

Rob, I'm not even sure which ones that I'm looking for.  I want to dig through that site and see what I come up with and go from there.  It'll be a few weeks though as Sunday I'm headed to New Orleans for another week of relief work.  When I dig up what I'm looking for, I'll hit you up.

Hey does anyone know of a good roughly 80's lego site?  I'm considering picking up a few of the space sets that I had as a kid and want to do a little research before diving in.

Seriously, I can't believe how many pictures you put up of your shoes... ::)

We just want to be cool...I'm also off for summer break, so I have nothing better to do than waste time posting on the internet.;)

When playing softball (several nights a week)

When running, lifting, training

The white ones.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Your Avatar...

Wow, super old thread!!

My avatar is a tribute to my time in the military.  I've got another avatar on another board I'd rather use, but it's too big to use here.  That one has two crossed M4's behind the skull with the beret.  So this one is just a variation of that.

Brad, do you mean 1776 instead of 1777?  Both that, and John Adams by McCullough are awesome books.  I tore threw that book.

I don't have the pic yet, but I picked up an unpainted micro Hoth Han.  I now just need an unpainted Han in shackles and unpainted Han on tauntaun to have a run off all the Han production micros, both painted and unpainted.  I've got a deal working to get the shackles figure, but I'm waiting for the seller to callme back.

Really, really good book, especially if you are a baseball fan.  I'm even more so because I've always thought Tom Glavine is a great pitcher and person in an era of what's in it for me players.

Yesterday it only got up to about 93-95*...all in all, not too bad.  Today it's going to get closer to 100 and by next week we could end up with 5 straight days of it.  Pretty much just hot Texas summer here lately.  Been this way for a while and no signs of it slowing down.

I finished "Lone Survivor" the othe night..wow is all I can say, just wow.

Right now, new book is "Lone Star Rising."  It's pretty much all about the colonization of Texas by the Americans from the filibusters before the Mexican Revolution and goes through the end of the Texas Revolution and the creation of the Republic of Texas.
