I really wish they had done this line in 3.75" 5POA.  I would buy every one of these, but the 4" scale looks off in a lot of cases.

Just opened a bunch of 5POA figures from The Last Jedi and they're pretty sweet.  I love TVC, but a well done 5POA figure is just fine too if its in scale with everything else.

I'm not sure how I feel about a four pack of Snowtroopers with essentially no variation beyond the rifle.  I've already got a bazillion from prior releases so I don't feel like I need to army build any more.

Maybe include an E-Web (although they probably would add $20), but it would have been nice to maybe get some weathering variations or battle damage.

I'm probably going to pass on this at full retail and consider getting it if it gets discounted.  Still not sure I need more Snowtroopers at any price.

Amazon sent me emails to expect this wave on April 16.

I'm always up for more droids that are from any series.  Although I wish I had a Garza to do with my droids from Garza's Sanctuary.

I did a quick check of a couple dozen TVC and Disney Droid Factory figures I had laying around from the past couple of years and I couldn't find anything that wasn't "made in China".

I don't have access to the Sarlacc Pit, so I apologize if this shouldn't be posted here.
My question is, I had heard that Hasbro moved production into Vietnam and India. Theoretically, if tariffs are 'paused' would that mean Hasbro can avoid this 100%+ trade war, or was the Vietnam/India news more PR than actual production?

This week has been an emotional and financial rollercoaster.

You can apply for access to the Sarlacc Pit if you want to.  The default is no access, but just ask if you want access.  Its usually not too messy in there.

A couple of challenges with ever shifting tariffs and Hasbro:
- Hasbro overall has 40% of production still in China.  Its hard to tell how much of Star Wars is there vs. Nerf and other things.
- Tariffs are charged on the import date, so today there may be 100% tariffs, and next week it might be 20%, and then later in the year it could be something different.  Retailers, consumers, etc. can't easily plan around this ever shifting unknown.
- Running a business with such massive unknowns is really, really hard, and a lot of consumers won't understand what is going on.  They'll think, "I preordered this for $18.  Why am I being charged $27?  I'm getting screwed by Hasbro/BBTS, etc."  I think you may also see price guarantees like Amazon's go away, or they'll add line item "tariff passthrough charges" like BBTS.

Everybody get the email from BBTS about tariffs driving price increases for your favorite toys?  They're going to add a specific line item for tariff fees that they say will add 15-40% in the price of toys.

Jeff and I were ranting a bit about it in the Sarlacc pit as it involves the whims of our dear leader Trump.

Sarlacc Pit

We can discuss in either or both places, but looks like this is going to be a real thing for the collecting community going forward.

I thought the last batch of "Tales" was the weakest of the bunch, but overall have mostly enjoyed these.

I'd prefer that they focus in on a little more of the core supporting characters in the lore (didn't really care for Mogan's backstory and thought it was a bit uninteresting).

The Ventress one looks a little more interesting as it appears to have something of a redemption story, but I'll be honest that I really don't have much of an interest in the backstory of Cad Bane.  I'm hopeful its well done either way.

plus, a special guest you won’t want to miss!"

Based on the fact that Steve Evans Instagram today is LOADED with back-and-forth with Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, seems like a really easy guess that he is the "special guest" and they will be revealing a Carson Teva figure tomorrow.  That's probably the TVC "The Mandalorian" figure in the Ponda Baba case.  Or maybe he's getting both a TVC and TBS figure?

Kinda surprised he gets a figure before Peli Motto (thought the "return to Tatooine" thing would make her a lock finally, especially a DLX With some of her droids), but I'll still gladly buy him!

Probably a lot easier to kitbash a Carson Teva figure than a Peli Motto figure.

lol, I love that we are all excited about Moroff  ;D

Was Dedra getting Force choked?  ???

I'm guessing (hoping) we don't see Vader at all.  My guess is its something else fairly normal - e.g. poison, lack of oxygen (depressurization in space),  stress, etc.

This looks so sweet.  I can't wait.

Love to see Moroff and Two Tubes and some of Saw's crew in there, along with K2 and an army of security droids.

Think 2025 is going back to the TVC well?  Maybe back to a vehicle since those sold a bit better than the playset did last year?

Are they worried about overloading TVC fans so it's time to go back to the BS6" crowd?

I'd be interested in the demographics of the BS6" crowd vs. TVC and if the BS6" crowd skews younger, less affluent, less hard core Star Wars, more random in their collecting.

I get the feeling the TVC crowd has a heavier concentration of more affluent original collectors like a lot of us here.  So even if the BS6" ideas are great, maybe they just don't have the interest or ability to drop $500 on a mega item.

I'm not sure there are big ships that people have the room for or interest in leading to me thinking playsets are potentially the way to go.   The fact that five out of six of us at the meetup last night didn't have our Ghosts displayed yet leads me to believe these extra large items are just tough to accommodate.

I like how flexible the design is for the Cantina where you could put it on one big open shelf or break it up and lay it out on normal bookshelf setup where your depth is limited.

I'd love to see them do a Death Star in this manner and not necessarily the giant dome that they sketched out a few years back.  If they could have a handful of the iconic scenes from the two Death Stars in a flexible configuration I think that would be great.  If you've got the ability you could maybe stack them, have them all laid out together, or string them along a series of shelves where they all go well together.

I wouldn't mind an Ewok Village either, but my guess is that probably isn't at the top of enough people's wish lists.

If they do go the ship route, I hope its something more along the lines of The Razor Crest that can more easily fit on a shelf and not something more massive like The Ghost.  I'm not sure what might fall in to that bucket.  Andor has gotten zero love from Hasbro, so I'm guessing a Fondor Halucraft is out.  I always thought a Quadjumper was a cool design even though its not key to the Star Wars universe.  Although both of these they may be able to do as a $175 Fan Channel exclusive without going to the $400+ HasLab.  An Outlander TIE Fighter is kind of in this bucket too.

I do hope they keep the TVC HasLab's going.  And I've said it before that something that may involve a lot more figures and be less big (ship or playset) would be totally fine with me.  Something like a $175 Fondor Halcraft with ten Andor figures ($200) that they would never release at retail would be awesome.

Yeah I guess I'd vote Baze out of that group too.

That said, it's a final four that does very little for me.

Ditto.  I think I've aged out of the masses that vote for these things.

Can someone more up on this explain the desire for another Asajj Ventress?  If I'm counting right we've already got five different versions of her.

I'm clearly out of synch with what people are looking for these days

Have to vote for the guys who have never had a figure (Echo, Luthen, Wrecker) over those with a figure (Mara, Baze, Asajj).  5POA Baze sucks but at least he has a figure.

That is exactly my thinking and how I voted.  I'll pass on redoing an "imperfect" figure to get something totally new.
