2021 TVC Troop Builder Stormtrooper 4-Pack

Alright?  Maybe not great.  Honestly, unless it's terrible and I can tell from like 5 or 10 feet away, I never worry about it.  I just put them on the shelf and think about how the collection is as complete as I know how to make it:

Let me know how your sets look. I've been seeing some disappointing reports that the paint is extremely sloppy.

The first set I opened looks ok. The black line over the eyes is a little thin on each of them but nothing too bothersome. I did notice that the torso is a shade darker than the limbs due to the different plastics used for each. But again not too bothersome especially in the right light.

I was annoyed with the choice of long rifle - they went with the POTF2 Commtech Stormtrooper rifle and this guy just cannot hold it. Oh well not the end of the world, I already gave the first two to my son to likely lose.

My replacement order from Shop Disney just got here.   



I swear, all I did was ask if they could look into the tracking number and they just wrote back and said they created a replacement order since I never got them...

I don't even drink, all that stuff is my wife's.   

By the time the Pulse order ships, I'll be at 24 Stormtroopers for about $180... $7.50 each is pretty awesome these days.

Wow, no kidding. I barely remember the last time a basic figure was under $10. Between the 24 total Rogue One and Remnant troopers I've bought lately I was at about $18 per figure...  I would have much rather paid $7.50 per

There was a Walmart near me that inexplicably got TAC figures in every week for several months, and had them priced at $3.50.  Paul lived right by it and would call me once or twice a week with what they had and snag it all for me... Stormtroopers, Yavin Guards, Galactic Marines, Airborne Troopers, Jawas, Death Star Troopers, Concept Snowtroopers and Stormtroopers... I must have bought 250 figures and close to half were Stormtroopers.  I was selling the coins in lots on eBay and getting back probably close to a buck each too.

To this day I still think that TAC was my favorite line (outside of TVC/VOTC/VTSC). It was such a great period in collecting.

You have to applaud them for being responsive.  I wonder if they would be equally responsive to some of the bad paint apps on a lot of figures that have been shipped?  I've seen some that look really, really bad.  I mean, so bad that they probably couldn't even be sold as factory seconds to Tunghori.

Just check the date stamps, apparently: Date stamp 12021 bad. Date stamp 12051 good.

Since Pulse is the later shipper, I hope that means they will all be 12051!

Hmm.  My two sets from ShopDisney = 1x 12021, 1x 12041.

Out of my 8 troopers, the only one with a slightly 'splotchy' visor/eye paint (paint a bit too thick) is in the 12041 box.

Mine are 12031 and 12051. Paint looks good on all of them. The eyelenses are a little heavier than the normal (carded) trooper, but overall it looks great.
