Someone doing a review for CoolToyReview.com by any chance?  How do they like it, have you heard?  Is it basically the current robot mode just with a new outter shell or is it all different?

It's not Curto, if that's what you're thinking, but it is a member over at RS.  Check the Transformers thread in the CTR section of the Forum over there.  He posted pics and gave a review.

You know, I found those photos after I posted.  It looks pretty good, I'm definitely going to pick that figure up when it hits.

I know of at least one collector who already has the "new" deluxe Bumblebee.

Thanks for the info.  I think I'll hold out for the Deluxe Bumblebee.  The Ultimate looks cool but I don't need to pay $80 for lights and sounds.

Also, it sounds like the Unleased won't sell in the 8" (or larger) size no matter what the line?  Interesting.

Okay, I have a question.  I'm not a Transformer collector and my knowlege ends at mainly what I see in the toy aisle.  But, after seeing the film, I want to pick up a Bumblebee figure.  I see the deluxe version for $10 but it's the vintage Camaro and I'm looking for the new 2009 model.  The only one I've seen photos of appears to be the upcoming Ultimage animatronic version but that's going to run $80.

Anyone know if there will be a 2009 Camaro version done in either the Deluxe or Voyager lines?  Or, better yet, the Leader line?

If not, anyone have more details on the Ultimate version coming this fall?  I found some photos on the Seibertron and TFW2005 sites but, unless I missed it, I didn't see any written review or descriptiion.

Actually, I came up with 24 that I found on the RS.com forums.  I don't think that included any GGC members.

I keep seeing that posted that noone outside the NE has won a Neyo bust but have all 200 raffle winners been identified?  Out of the forums I read I've seen 24 winners post and one of them is in France (I think).  The rest are in the NE region, though.

And not everyone from PA, NY and NJ that entered won as there are losers from each of those states that have posted.  So, where are the other 176 people?

So, is this guy upset because Hasbro has made a Darth Malak figure?  It is clear the person is upset at Hasbro, but there is no reason to why the person is upset.  They seem to think Hasbro's one and only purpose is destroy their life.

I'm stealing that last sentence for my signature: "Hasbro's one and only purpose is to destroy your life." - EdSolo

Although, the GG collectors think it's GG's sole purpose as well.  It could be a hot topic for debate.

I still really like the vintage Baroness.  She was one of the better looking female figures back then and was one of my favorite Cobra villains.

This new 25th figure isn't bad but I think they could have done better on the face.  She looks to have the same type ball joint for the head that the new SW figures have and while it's great for articulation, the face sculpts suffer for it.

Girl's definitely hot but she has some funky-assed tattoos.  That and she's engaged to Brian Austin Green.

I guess nobody is perfect.   :-\

I'm probably in for that wave, if I can find it, because I want the Pitt figure.  The Witchblade figure doesn't look bad but I don't have much interest in the other figures besides Timmy.

There are two HTS.com codes that I know of.

The first is: SPTIER07

That will save you:
$10 off $50
$20 off $100
$50 off $250

Or use code: CELEBRATION
That'll save you 10%

Not sure if either is still good but I used the first one on my set of 6 VTAC figures last week and saved $10.

I just loaded up my cart with HISS, R.O.C.C., Night Ops Humvee, and R.H.I.N.O. and it's only $46.70 shipped before any savings codes.  Gah.  I can't buy that even though it's a helluva price, it would all just go into a box like most of my SW items anyway.

Crap.  They do have some awesome deals going right now, don't they?  R.O.C.C. for $9.99?  Night Ops Humvee for $5.99?  Insane.

I should probably pick those two up but I really am trying not to spend any more cash right now.

Well of the Souls / Re: Indy 4 Toy Question
« on: June 18, 2007, 04:01 PM »
Hasbro, Lego, Hallmark, Random House, Scholastic, DK Publishing...all the usual suspects that we see with the Star Wars license.

Like I said in my earlier post, Hasbro kind of had dibs on this line per their contracts with Lucasfilm.  They'd have been stupid to turn it down.  Glad to see the other companies on board as well even though I don't see myself buying any of the Lego sets.  I'd have killed for them when I was a kid, though.

If nothing else, I want one 1:6 classic Indy figure using Hasbro's SA GI Joe body.  He doesn't even have to come with a lot of extras, just a basic $20 figure with outfit and some goofy accessories thrown in.  I have all the parts already to make a cool Indiana custom except a jacket and hat (2 most important pieces) so if they give me those I'll be really psyched.

I'm sure everyone in Indiana will be happy to know they're in the NE, then.  I guess changing time zones doesn't count for much either?

Still, Indy is within 1000 miles (ie driving distance) of 80% of the US population.  But, if you want to join the entitled CA residents from RebelScum and tell me all about how your 20% of the population is more important I think can we can find a thread to hash it out in...

When did Indiana become "N. Eastern?"  I think 12 hours driving time off the East Coast discounts that statement.

From what the guys in the press room said, one day badges sold out for Friday, Saturday and Sunday but they didn't have final show numbers at that time.

As for CV and CVI, we heard rumors when CIV was announced that the LACC was the go-to place for the next 3 conventions so that's not entirely new news.  However, according to one person I talked to, GenCon has not officially signed on for the next two shows yet.  But I think that they did a good enough job this time around to get them that contract.

Unless something drastic changes with my finances, I'll never go to LA again for a Celebration.  It cost me double what Indiana did and only being 2 years out, it was just barely enough time to save up the cash for it.  I'm even skipping the PSWCS Summer Social this year because it's too close to CIV and I just can't afford it...plus Wizard World Philly is the following week and I already have my ticket for that.
