The Gamorrean Guard re-release is one that I can see the TVC collecting community welcoming.  It's basically an army builder. But I think more than a few people are going to be upset with the deluxe pricing.  It does seem a bit questionable given the fact that the Gamorrean Guard was a mainline figure that was available for the standard TVC figure msrp. 

The original release in 2012 was basic MSRP, but the 2019 re-release was a fan channel exclusive that was a couple $2-3 more than the basic price at that time.  At the time, Hasbro blamed the soft goods and size of the figure.  I guess I'm not surprised to see this re-issue at the higher deluxe $25 price because of that.

this sort of decision makes less than zero sense.

the fact that an original 96 figure is on a deluxe card is a crime against the collecting community.

Does having the Kenner colors "Hammerhead" version from the 4-pack make up for that or do you still want this modern version on a smaller card to consider him "complete" for the "update the 96" stuff?

The amount of time that was wasted by all involved in this mess is staggering.

Glad that it seems like most everyone who wanted one is going to finally be able to get one (or even two).

I have seen some speculation that maybe the Diamond/Gentle Giant stuff could be processed through NECA since the group that bought Diamond in bankruptcy also owns NECA, but others are speculating that with the tariffs, it might be easier/cheaper for the new guys to just walk away and cancel any orders in-process.

Tough break for all of the folks involved though.

The endcap had a start/set date of 4/27, which coincides with the original expected date for this set.

Like Nick said, I know my local Targets have had the endcap, with an empty shelf meant for this set, since then -

This item was supposed to be on a "May the 4th" endcap along with a bunch of other stuff (BS6" Range Trooper, BS6" Jedha Stormtrooper, Epic Hero X-Wing/Luke).  I was at a Target last night that had the endcap set up and had a shelf tag for this, but the shelf was empty.

It's really frustrating that we don't really have any idea WTF happened or what the plan is going forward.

Today's email says HAS LEFT THE BUILDING.

Just got the shipping soon email from Pulse on this set.

I've started ignoring the useless Hasbro Pulse emails and am now occasionally checking the estimated ship dates on the Pulse Orders themselves.

My pre-order has been updated to "This pre-order item will be available to ship on approximately May 19, 2025".
