Vintage Kenner / Plastic Galaxy

Last night I watched on Amazon a documentary called Plastic Galaxy. It about the creation of the original Star Wars vintage line of toys. They talk about the origins of Kenner and how they got the license. Lots of talk from toy designers and some pictures of prototypes that we never got. They go all the way up to the creation of the POTF2 line. Good hour long documentary about our favorite toys.

Nissan had a large display of Rogue One items at the Los Angeles Car Show. I liked the life size TIE fighter behind the Nissan Rogue. They had a VR helmet with an Stormtrooper attack.

The Original Trilogy / I am your Father documentary

This is a new documentary on the life of David Prowse the man that played Darth Vader. They go into detail on his Hammer Horror days and how he got the job as Darth Vader. They talk about how George Lucas forbid Prowse from ever going to an official Star Wars convention because he thinks Prowse gave away the ending to Return of the Jedi. Lucas also never told Prowse that he wouldn't be part of the unmasking of Darth Vader so the documentary director recreates the unmasking with Prowse playing Vader.  Thankfully Lucas is out of the picture so maybe we can meet him at a future Star Wars Celebration.

Star Wars Action Figures / Sideshow snow bunny Padme with new head

I'm thinking of replacing the axe murder head from the Sideshow Snowbunny Padme with one that looks more like Natalie Portman. How difficult is it to remove the head? Would any 1/6 scale head work? I'm thinking of putting this head on instead.

I found this on youtube. Someone took all three prequel movies and edited them down into one continuous 3 1/2 hour movie. It actually works pretty well this way. He needs to do this to the Hobbit.

We know Captain Phasma is being played by Gwendoline Christie but do we know if she is playing the just the body or doing the voice too? She is very tall at 6' 3". Just wondering if she is the new David Prowse.
