30th Anniversary Collection / 30th Anniversary Collection = Delayed
« on: December 15, 2006, 03:51 PM »
Hasbro sent along a little 30th Anniversary Collection Update as part of this week's Q&A:

Quote
Due to unavoidable production delays, the first waves of Star Wars 30th Anniversary basic figures for 2007 will be delayed until March. We are looking at every way to get the figures in earlier, but fans should not expect to find them on shelf on 1/1 as we were hoping. We expect subsequent waves beyond the first to be on schedule shortly thereafter. We'll keep everyone updated as needed, but please be patient. Thanks!

Looks like we'll be seeing the Final 22 repack waves for a while...  :-\

This is quite a disappointment since I've really been looking forward to the 30th Anniversary waves. I guess the positive side is that the pocket book will not be taking a hit right away.

I would buy Roron Corrob but there is no need for another Momaw Nadon, we just got one.

I definitely agree and Roron could be a possibilty since we got Foul this year... but it could be a rehash of Momaw. The big H loves repacking crap left and right. Let's hope not though.

Purge Bultar????
momaw nadon Y????Is it a young version or a repack or a jedi?????

I'd prefer a AotC Bultar Swan first than the one from Purge. As for the Momaw Nadon, I wonder if it is Roron Corrob from Clone Wars cartoons???

Again this is just an idea, a possible scenario. What would be stupid is too shoot others ideas down, just because you don't agree with them, that's stupid!

I think it's fun to try and speculate about these possible scenarios (no matter how outrageous) and not get serious about it.  ;D JK Rowling will be the final say as to Harry's fate.  ;)

Man, say what you will about Hasbro, but they've put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into next years line.  From the character specific blister card artwork , to the individually tooled coins, the line is looking to be one of the best ever.

Good stuff.

I agree. The artwork is sweet!! makes one want to weep.

HP isn't really childrens books anymore...

I think what Artoo means, and I've heard this from different sources, that HP books started off as kids books but as Harry aged, the tone of the books got more darker. Dealing with pre-adult issues. So while their not really the tone of childrens books anymore, they're not necessarily an adult book either... I'd say in the teens.

I have a question: Do we know all the numbers for the 7 known Cylon models (Six, Sharon, D'Anna, Leoben, Doral, Simon, Cavil?

I think in "Download", D'Anna says that she is 3, Sharon is 8 (and obviously we know what model six is). What about the other 4? Anyone able to help out? Thanks.

I don't know if they've told all the numbers yet.  But recently they've been referring to Six as Caprica if I'm not mistaken.  So, they all have names now.

   E...

I think they refer to a specific Six as Caprica because she is the one that got downloaded the former Caprica's memories (she's called Natasi in the novelization) so that way we know which one is more sympathetic to Baltar in the range of Sixes wandering about Basestars.

The Kat episode wasn't my favorite. Collectively though, I could hear a big sigh of relief when she expired.

ala Monty Python, "and there was much rejoicing!"

Yes, Kat wasn't my favorite character either.

Hard to believe that we're almost at midway point, too... Next episodes the last of the fall season!!  :o ::) I guess with the holidays coming up they figure no ones gonna have time to watch.

Spoiler...

Yeah, I can't believe that they killed her either. I wished they would have kept her alive a bit longer to explore her back-story of being a drug-runner and potentially bring in Cylons into the Colonies more.

Can't wait for the next episode... more Cylons and Baltar!!

There's never been any mention if a wizard could lose their powers indefinately or not, at least not that I've seen or read. If he does lose them, it'd be a great way for Harry Potter to go on with his life, sadder without his powers, but alive! We'll see I guess!

I highlighted "indefinately" because maybe Rowling will pull an X3 ala Magneto... whose powers seem to slowly recover at the end. Of course, Magneto is one powerful mutant like Harry is a wizard.

I can't wait to read the final book... hopefully he doesn't buy it in the end, but that's not for me to decide.

I like that EXCEPT..how could he be a world class seeker and ride the broom without magic ability?!

Not sure, but maybe it's something that comes naturally to him... kind of like riding a bicycle, he's had the training so he'll never forget it. I don't recall if Rowling said that only the magically-inclined can ride brooms, it's just assumed so. Maybe it's not the case. Muggles don't consider it since it's all bad, pagan and make-believe.
