Happy belated Birthday to all of you who've had their birthday's already.

And Happy Birthday to fellow TC JD member Jeff!! Hope you have a wonderful day... I didn't realize we're the same age.

Hey Hasbro! / "Spider" Grievous
« on: January 14, 2006, 03:33 PM »
With Hasbro releasing the Flaming Grievous Target exclusive, why not produce Grievous that can "transform" into the 6-legged spider as he makes haste to escape Obi-Wan? It might make for an interesting figure if done right.

REVENGE OF THE SITH:

Nute Gunray

Rune Haako

Passel Argente (New Sculpt)

I agree with some of those choices. I'd like to have them because they're all different alien species and they're the "baddies" that were played in a vicious game by Sidious. Senator Dork, as Argente is affectionately know by some, should have been made with the special lightsaber slash damage ala Masters of the Universe when it was released with the final 12... the same with the rest of the Separatist leaders taken down by Vader at Mustafar.  ;)

That would be an interesting figure... and have him or her come with that lava grappler thingie.

Just don't make it so the figure is permanently in that pose.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: NO CHASE FIGURES!!!
« on: January 14, 2006, 03:13 PM »
Yes, don't go the route of the dark side (greed) and throw in chase figures. I agree with my fellow JD members that it would severely affect people's collecting habits. Another thing, it is sometimes difficult to find certain mass produced figures because distribution is not totally wide-spread. I work for a toy store and I know that our store has never received certain waves of non-exclusive SW figures, whereas other stores in the area did. On the other hand, my store received around 20 case of the wave that had the illusive Shocktrooper in it... so you can see that if you begin with the "chase" figure routes, collectors in small metro areas may not even get to glimpse this so called figure.

I think I speak for all of us when I think there should be equal opportunity for all of us to find our beloved characters!

I cracked open one of my Carbonite Han figs and noticed that there is a 1 on the staff, I also have one with a 2 on it, so that makes 1,2,3,5 & 6 staff versions. Anyone have one with a 4 on it. (I hear 4 is the chase  ;))

Checked mine out after you said this (and got my Internet up and running again)...

Guess what, I've got a 4.  ;) (Doubt it means it's the rare one then)

If only we'd gotten an all-new skiff guard instead of Barada ...

I agree. I wish we'd have gotten some new Weequay. Hasbro could have done a variant on them as well for the two on the skiff.

Thanks Matt for hooking me up with the Twins and a couple 501sts!! Also, thanks for helping me with those 7 elusive cards to finish my Sith Widevision set and the chases.

Anyone complete their sets yet?? I'm missing 9 basic cards and a lot of the chases... guess I'm not going to worry too much about the chases.

Hey Hasbro! / Re: I want a "Mid-Wife Droid"!

I actually thought that they would have put this figure in with either Luke or Leia or both baby figures... guess I was wrong.

I agree with the others, though. The only droids I'd be interested in are 2-1B and FX-6 to complete a Imperial Rehab Center set.

Yeah I do like seeing NEW stuff sold as exclusives...  That's a plus.  I'd dig that McQuarrie set a lot myself as I think it's the best way to offer concept figures.  The Stormie sold well but I think that's a bit of a fluke honestly.  I love the concept stuff but I think Vader and the like would sit on the pegs if it got shipped as heavily as other new figures do.

Me, too. Anything McQuarrie and I'm game!!

Hey, if they are willing to give us a flaming GG, maybe they’ll give us a smoldering Ewok carcass from ROTJ  ;D

LOL... with special burnt Ewok flesh scent... like those old Stinkor and Mossman figs from the Master of the Universe!!

Senate Pod! Senate Pod! Senate Pod! ;D

I've wanted one of those forever!

Thank God they left out Mas Amedda

I can't believe Hasbro didn't put all those extra peg warmers of Mas to good use and include him... Oh well, good for us!!

If we get #41 Shockies, I might be game for it. Might have to have make a Imperial Rehabilitation Center Landing Pad diorama then.

As for Palpy... ugh... perhaps we could make customs of drunk cantina patrons out of it.

The TRU I work at has considerable condensed their 3 3/4" section  :'(  ???
Hopefully that's just because we are low on figures at the moment and they are trying to cram as much other SW stuff to sell for Christmas.
