There are two local family spots here in town that make wonderful thin crust pizza.

Have you hit Jake's Stadium Pizza?  As I recall, they've got a pretty thin, cripy crust there... I don't remember if it was good, just that it was thin and crispy.  :-\

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 30AC "Vintage" Figures Thread

I think they should also go ahead and repack VOTC Stormtroopers into the shipments, with ANH cards too.

Not sure I follow the logic on that one...

  $7 - 30AC #20 Stormtrooper (VOTC mold w/removable helmet)
$11 - VOTC Stormtrooper re-release

IMHO, it seems like a bad idea to re-release the VOTC carded version when there will be an arguably better, cheaper version of the same figure sculpt already on the pegs at the same time.

Folks can't be that upset over the removable helmet that they'd want to waste $4 buying the VOTC version and skipping the 30AC version... then again I've seen stranger things happen.   ;)

Has Hasbro commented on the mailaway yet? Will it be UPC or little stickers like last year? Heat sealed packages?

From EE:

But wait, there's more! On every Vintage figure's package is the Ultimate Galactic Hunt 2007, a special mail-in offer! Pick up all the figures, and you can send off for a 7-coin set featuring coins for each of these six figures, plus a special bonus coin which was originally given away at Toy Fair 2007 in New York! Your collection of coins won't be complete unless you take advantage of this limited-time mail-in offer.

To get your set, collect and save the proof-of-purchase stickers from 6 vintage figure packages. Attach the stickers to the spaces on the front side of the mail-in certificate found inside the Vintage action figure packages. (You can have any combination of 6 stickers!)  Clearly print your name and address in the space provided.  Mail the completed certificate (name and address clearly printed, all 6 stickers attached) and a check or money order for $4.95 (made out to Vintage Figure Redemption) to:

Vintage Figure Redemption Request
PO Box 10790
Bozeman MT 59719-0790

All requests must be postmarked by February 29, 2008.

Your exclusive 2007 Vintage Figure Coin Box will be mailed to you within 6-8 weeks from receipt of your redemption request.

This offer is good for a limited time only and while supplies last. Official Redemption Certificates must be postmarked by February 29, 2008. Incomplete entries (missing the Official Redemption Certificate, one or more proof-of-purchase stickers, and/or payment) will not be honored. No copies, duplicates or other reproductions will be accepted. HASBRO reserves the right to verify all redemptions and reject any insufficient redemption at its sole discretion. Offer valid for redemption by end users only; excludes resellers and distributors. Offer valid in U.S. only for fulfillment at U.S. addresses. No P.O. boxes will be accepted.

I am very happy they went with a nice 2x per figure case.  I feel the pain of those wanting more Snowtroopers in the box, but I'm glad they did it this way.

It makes it nice and easy for me and the rest of the "one to open, one to keep carded" collectors.  Now when NewForce puts these up for pre-order, I can just grab myself a case and be done with it.   :)

Other Collectibles / Re: Master Replica Scaled Helmets
« on: March 20, 2007, 02:28 PM »
Just checked the other thread and the other two listed scaled replicas are:

Rebel X-Wing Red 5 Studio Scale Replica
TIE Fighter Episode IV Helmet Scaled Replica

Just a side note to start, the Rebel X-Wing Red 5 Studio Scale Replica in your list Brent is the Studio Scale X-Wing ship, like those big-ass scaled Y-Wing and Falcon that they've done.  Nit-picky I know, but just don't want folks to be searching out the wrong thing.  Now back to the mini-helmets...

At Toy Fair, MR announced they had plans for 5 Helmets (up to 6 now with the C-IV Wedge Helmet announcement).

  • Clone Trooper Helmet Scaled Replica
  • TIE Fighter Pilot Helmet Scaled Replica
  • Stormtrooper Helmet Scaled Replica
  • Boba Fett Helmet Scaled Replica
  • Luke Skywalker’s X-wing Helmet Scaled Replica
plus
  • C-IV Exclusive Wedge Antille's X-wing Helmet Scaled Replica

I don't think Rob got a good pic of all 5 (I think all we have is a pic of the Fett mini-helmet), but you can see them at Rebelscum.  The 4 OT helmets were pretty close to the final product stage, but the Clone Helmet is obviously an unpainted prototype.

I've heard/read that some of the helmets may be based off the Riddell helmets, but I don't remember that being confirmed anyplace in writing yet.

Huh?   ???

I wonder if it's just a repackaging of the old RotS Jedi Vs. Sith Battle Pack?

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Force Unleashed Replacement Wave
« on: March 19, 2007, 02:58 PM »
sort of a "Greatest Repacks" wave to help out people who missed on some harder to find figures and mix in some desirable army builders...

Aren't they already doing that?  Isn't Saga Legends essentially a "greatest repacks" assortment full of harder to find figures and desirable army builders?  :P

If they did have to do a "replacement wave", I'd much prefer repaints like JACKOFTRADZE mentioned over more straight repacks.

This week at Toys R Us, you can get a free $5 gift card with any Star Wars purchase of $20 or more.  Sounds like the perfect time to visit TRU to hunt for the new 30th Anniversary Collection toys!

Wow, I've seen Logray go for more than average when he comes from a reliable seller like that (way too many Logray fakes out there to buy from an unkown seller IMHO), but nearly $300 is nuts... ::)

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: Force Unleashed Replacement Wave
« on: March 17, 2007, 10:29 PM »
Hasbro said there will be new figures to replace the Force Unleashed figures. Any ideas?

Um, didn't they just say "the place in the calendar previously marked for the TFU figures will be occupied by wave 8 of the basic figures".

Doesn't sound like they are planning a replacement wave, just moving things around...
