Title: Not a joke - Duke Nukem Forever announced and playable at PAX
Post by: BillCable on September 5, 2010, 08:37 AM
Hail to the king, BABY! (http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/09/03/duke-nukem-forever-hitting-in-2011.aspx)

Perhaps the most storied video game sequel of all time is actually going to come out!  I was hoping 3DRealms would sell the code they'd developed to date to somebody so the game would actually see the light of day.

Hell of a win for PAX, getting the official announcement.

We've heard and seen this before. I won't believe it until I'm holding the box in my hands at game stop.

It's sure to be as good a game as Chinese Democracy was an album.

The Gearbox boss also related his wife's insistence that he take up Duke's cause and that if he succeeded in making it happen, she'd give him – and this a direct quote – a "Chilean Miner." She would "go down the shaft and stay 'til Christmas."

Do I really want to ask what a "Chilean Miner" is????

That's funny...  I love when anything like a Cleveland Steamer comes up.  Haven't heard a new one in ages.

Joystiq review: Fail to the King, Baby (http://www.joystiq.com/2011/06/10/duke-nukem-forever-review-fail-to-the-king-baby/)

2/5

Absolutely not shocked by that.  I'm amazed it even got 2/5.  This thing has been an epic failure before it even hit the store.

On the commercials the graphics looked like ****.

In the realm of Bioshock, Call of Duty, etc...  You'd better bring your a-game or you're really not going to stand a chance.

Kind of mirrors the prequals.
