I think the Snobi Wan looks great, too, but he's one of the figures I never found.  I'll have to add him to my To Get List.   ;D

You're right, there was something of the execution of the latest FHM shoot that didn't quite work.  Not sure what.  She's still as beautiful as always, and some of the pics were nice.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: JD Book Club: What Are You Reading Now?
« on: June 6, 2003, 03:26 PM »
Right now I'm reading Dhalgren by Samuel R. Delaney.  I've been wanting to for years.  It's huge, and difficult, but a great read.  I'm also slowly making my way through the McSweeney Thrilling Tales short story collection.

And here's some comics I'm reading (because comics are people, too):

Lucifer
Fables
Y: The Last Man
Batman
Ultimate Spider-Man
Strangers in Paradise

Spuffy's turn.

The Goddess Herself:

Fx-7 speaks the truth.  Debra Messing is gorgeous.

So is Miranda Otto.

And my Geek Goddess Alyson Hannigan too.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Luke and Darth: A New Hope...What are they?
« on: June 3, 2003, 03:23 PM »
Yeah, I don't think there's any real siginificant difference between the C1 and C2 cards.  You'd think if this was the case, moving the ROTJ Luke and Vader, they'd move the Snowtrooper too.

I'm three parts Irish, one part Native American.  Don't know which tribe, since our family is in denial about that last bit.   ::)

I have to agree with the group.  I'd let it go.  I don't think engaging them in the way you suggest will be positive.  We have a nice little community here, and I'd be glad just for that.

CC, so sorry to hear about your mom.  But she sounds like a woman of great strength, so I'm sure both of you will be fine.  Best wishes.

This topic is so interesting to me because I realized in reading it I never really thought of myself as having heroes.  I don't know if that's good or bad.  I certainly did as a child.  George Lucas was one, simply because he made me want to make movies.  Astronauts.  The Challenger crew.

My grandfather is one of my heroes.  I think the biggest hero in my life now is my cousin Kim.  She's a bedrock of joy and passion for life despite all the things that would otherwise impede her.  She's a bright shining light in an often dark world and she makes me smile.  That's heroic.

'Hi Robb!'

And welcome.  My name is Darb, and I am also a SW addict.  Whenever you need someone to go to a meeting with you (say, at TRU), give me a ring.   ;D

This is so tough... Jesse has it right.  There's no clear winner.  They're all good.   For me, it's a tie between Boba Fett, FX-7, Bespin Han, and Throne Room Amidala.
