Watto's Junk Yard / Re: KBZ jokes on GNT at scum

Matt-
This thread summs up what I feel
http://forums.rebelscum.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=9;t=013919

I am sure it will get closed but I used an angle I hate to use. But after a half a dozen Jack and Cokes I loosen up.
I agree what bothers me the most is no one is allowed to have a public opinion. For the life of me I just don't understand what that type of discussion is so feared?   I will say my RS days are numbered now but I really could care less. There is a reason I am here. All I can say is thanks to all the other members who make this place special

Matt,
Jeremy has rubbed me the wrong way as of the past few days. The biggest thing that pisses me off with the whole GNT thing is that no one is allowed to have an opinion if it is public. It seems to be only allowed in private. Hence Jeremy's responce. He pretty much proved my point by locking the thread. I am sure Kenobis thread will follow soon enough but I had to add to that one as well.  I am eagrly awaiting a responce from philip although it will get me no where buy further on the **** list.
It really makes you wonder where the members opinions really stand in their world?\\

 edit addition
Wow that didn't take long to get your thread closed Tom. I even responded in it to allow free speach. Guess the lords over ruled that silly notion.

first off can a mod at Rs lock a profile or does that come from Philip?

2 philip has yet to adress me in PM or mail reguarding a few mod items. 1 Jeremy and a few actions from him and 2 a comment on my petition.

Come on guys spread the word on the petition since Phil knows it up. :)

I told him to use it as constructive not negative.

So far Philip as not altered my sig or Pm'd m e so It still stays.
Line 17 on the petition is interesting if its really him.

For me its not personal more than the fact that members opinions and voices should be taken into consideration. I can see standing by your staff but if changes need to be made you also need to listen objectionably.

Philip can ask me to remove it all he likes I won't. He will have to take away my sig all together. Either way no skin off my ass.

I am curious as to how many will sign it. This way at least you can voice an opinion with out a flame war.

Well I added to the scum post. Not much but I do support it for various reasons. I used to frequent scum and have been a member there for a lenght of time longer than here. The reason I have basically stopped being a part of most threads at scum is the lack of respect both on a member and mod level. I have had my differnces with Philip in the past and in my mind have some unresolved issues with him but o well. I will admit I never really cared for GNT and his attitude and as of late it is worse.
I don't really care about post counts but I will say mine are more than twice as much here than there(scum) .  The whole reason behind that is the fact I like the people here and like to interact with them. Why. I consider quite a lot of people here friends and I like that everyone usually treats others well. Forms rounded discussions and helps each other with out the air of being superior.
GNT is just the tip of the iceberg at scum but if he is demoted it is a step in the right direction.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Somthing I think every American should see.
« on: February 24, 2004, 10:05 AM »
very true. Some people forget who really ensures the freedoms that we all enjoy in the US. It is easy to sit back and change the channel if something we don't like to see is on. Its very easy to go to the store and buy food, clothes, or what ever else we can ever need. History is always a great learning tool and in some ways a window into the future if lessons learned in the past are forgotten.
How many of you recall your grandparents telling you how vividly they remember Pearl Harbor? Sept. 11th is that day in our time. And saddly in the future another day like those will again ring true if we don't take safeguards to protect our freedoms.
God Bless those men and women who know the sacrafices of freedom and stand at the gates ready to defend with their very life so that others may remain free.  When you see names on the news of soldiers killed in action remember they died  for YOU. That was their chosen proffesion and I for one honor that fact they chose their path with pride and patriotism.
But about the link I liked the info link at the end.

Well for me. I will be driving to Indy. If I remember right that last time I went there it took me about 8 hours. I am in Green Bay so I think I took 41 or 43 down. I would have to look at the map to be certain.   I do remember it felt like it took forever to get there. I was going to the Indy 500 that trip. Now that was a fun experiance.

As far as rooms go for me. The closer the better. I agree with Beth and a few others about being in costume. I have armor and its nice to get out of that stuff at the end of the day. I personally like the added convience of just walking a short distance as opposed to traffic and parking hassels.

As for sharing a room. For me thats the preferd route . Save a few bucks and in reality how long are you in the room? Unless your drinking with the guys your sleeping or out and about.  And Matts right pick some people who wont fart and blow the windows out of the joint ;)

Basically I am hoping to hook up with a few guys from one of the sites and do a room share.   Any takers?  I don't stink ;)   I got good taste in beer and cigars ;D

Very nice group you have there Bill.

The Tri logos are something I have always wanted to jump into but have yet to do so.  To many loose ends to tie up before another quest begins :)
