Looks like this is what Target will have for the fall when the KotCS DVD comes out...
Target "Jungle Chase" KotCS Battle Pack (http://photos.actionfigs.com/showgallery.php?cat=3571)
Includes even more repacks - Jacket Mutt, Spalko, Dovchenko, Skull Indy, Russian. Again I say, "damn Hasbro and their relics for tricking me into buying these figures for $7 each already." I knew I should have just waited for the eventual cheap repacks but I just couldn't wait... >:( :'(
-
Well, I've only bought one of those figures, but to be completely honest, I don't want the rest all that badly. I'd rather have the relics.
-
Agreed... Not much reason to buy those unless you don't have 'em already. Easy pass there. Hasbro's really gotta get their **** together with IJ to make it interesting enough to purchase. By that point maybe they should pack all the later wave figures (TLC, etc.), since they're impossible to find now, into a battlepack. That way you may see them somewhere. :)
I will say IJ really relies on his settings more than anything. I'm shocked they aren't trying for something like that with battlepacks.
-
Yeah, pass for me too, since I already bought all of those figures. One thing I'm starting to take from this week/weekend's pictures though is it might be wise to start waiting for the multipacks in some of these lines. It seems for Star Wars, GI Joe, DC Infinite Heroes, and now Indy it would be a fair amount of savings just waiting for these. Of course, that's easier said than done sometimes (and you never know what's going to get put into a battle pack).
-
Again, I don't understand how they can hold the $20 PP for five figures when individually they retail for twice as much.
This is a bargain for newcomers or collectors looking to fill in holes. I might just bite considering I only have the Indy.
-
I have the Indy and the Spalko, but Spalko was free from the TRU B2GO Free sale in May so I guess I'll take one.
-
Good news is I can finally snag Indy's dad (come October) - bad news is he'll still be a bitch to find:

Again, five $8 figures for $19.99 (I still think the price will go up to $24.99 by the time these hit retail) is quite the bargain and I'm seriously thinking about picking up all three (Jungle Cutter, Streets of Cairo, and the one above) because of the value and the fact that I only have the KotCS Indy and two troops as of today.

I know, my guess is Target's $8 price point is just a bit of gouging, but still, at $7, you're looking at $35 for this many figures. It's fine with me to see battle packs like this though, as $20 is a great price for this and a great gift for a kid... I probably will pass on this set though. Might change my mind when I see it in person, but I kinda doubt it.
-
I'll be all over this set... looks like the Indy is from one of the Deluxe sets, no?
I haven't seen a trace of Wave 3, and this has two figures from that wave, so that's nice to see. Also more army builders is a plus... I'll most likely grab at least one of this set... even if I have found Henry and Vogel by then. This is a great price for some nice figures.
-
I may even buy all the battle packs just to keep boxed because they're so nice! :)
-
I'll buy it if I can't find Henry by then. Of course I bet the Henry doesn't have any of the accessories. ::)

This is what I'm afraid of with this set. It just seems like Hasbro made this too easy after packing Henry Sr. one-per-case, so they have to screw something up.
-
It just goes to show. Just wait and figures are always re-released in cheaper battle packs.
-
You have to wonder - how long before they take four Crystal Skeletons and pack them together in a Battle Pack with an Indy figure?
What continues to amaze me is that Hasbro continues to show us how EASY and CHEAP packaging is to make.
I can't believe they suckered Target into carrying these.
-
I wonder if this will make it to retail. :-\
-
Cool set for repacks. Too bad it wasn't UBP with the tank. :P

I've read of at least one collector getting Battle Packs pulled from the back room using the DPCI. I'm assuming that this set was one of them.
-
I saw these at Target tonight
-
Cool, it's good to hear that these are making it to retail. :)
-
They wouldn't give them to me today... said they didn't go out until the DVD is put on shelves... so, I'm going to go try in the morning.
-
I've yet to see Henry Jones Sr at retail. This pack might be my only shot.

Grrrr. Damn Target. >:(
-
Yeah. Of course, I don't know if it was this battle pack or just the one pictured in the circular.
-
So I picked up both battle packs today.
Does any one know if the figures come with the accessories in there? Senior isn't wearing his hat, isn't holding the diary, doesn't have his suitcase. Dovchenko has a pistol instead of the AK-47, Spalko doesn't seem to have her pistol, Vogel no baton, and I don't want to open it if he's not going to have those things in the box.

So I picked up both battle packs today.
Both? There are 3 Battle Packs out threre- RotLA (Cairo), TLC (Tank), and KotCS (Jungle).
Does any one know if the figures come with the accessories in there?
From what I have heard, what you see is what you get - there are no extra accessories hidden anywhere.
-
Yeah, they had all three, but I'd already bought enough of the Raiders figures that it didn't make sense to pick that one up.
Of course, now I'm returning them... so, this wasn't nearly the excellent way to get caught up that I'd hoped for.
-
Saw both of these at Target yesterday. Can't say I wasn't tempted for the price.
-
I finally remembered to look for these tonight at Target. They had 2 of each on a front end cap along with the DVD.
They actually look pretty good, nice presentation, and if I didn't have any of them it would be a good way to pick up those figures.
E...
-
I saw all three of these on a front endcap at Target yesterday. They had 2 of the KOTCS ones, and one each of Raiders and Last Crusade. Not a bad deal at $15.99 really, but since I was able to finish off the basic line in the past few weeks, there wasn't anything to pick up really. I had planned on getting the Tank Showdown set for Henry and Vogel, but didn't need them anymore. It is a pretty nice deal for someone who wants a nice set of Indy figures, and isn't concerned about any missing accessories.
-
Looked at TLC BP yesterday. I want to assume that Henry Sr.'s accessories are included, but couldn't see them or find printed conformation. Does anyone know for sure if they're included?
-
I just opened the tank battle pack. No sign of Henry's accessories.
-
Wow, that stinks. I was thinking of picking all of these up, but that alone might kill it for me.
-
I got the TLC pack tonight and it was on sale. Yay.
That said... No accessories is uber cheap on hasbro's part, and very dickish.
I figure if I find them carded now, at least I'll have extras for customizing. Otherwise, I didn't know if I'd ever see the figures period, so I bought the set.
-
Well I returned them over the lack of accessories. Luckily, I found a Henry Senior on Tuesday hidden on the back of a peg at Wal-Mart. I'm still short Elsa and Vogul though.
-
Yeah I didn't want to chance it, and I figure they're good custom bits to have if I do find carded examples at some point. Unfortunately for me the only things ever replenished here anymore seem to be deluxe and vehicles. No figure turnover seems to be happening here.
