Other Collectibles / Re: Star Wars Trading Cards
« on: April 28, 2017, 02:49 PM »
I recently got back into physical cards with the ROGUE ONE Series-1 and Series-2 Sets.
But there's no way I could even consider trying to make parallel sets.  Same for all the
inserts.  So I just scaled down to what interests me most, which for these releases are:

ROGUE ONE (Series-1)
  • One complete BASE CARD Set (white)
  • One complete PARALLEL CARD SET (GREEN looks the nicest to me)
  • One complete set of GOOD GUY (portrait) Mains [Jyn/Cassian/Baze/Chirrut/etc] - in White/Black/Green/Blue/+
  • Complete Parallel Subset of X-Wing Uniformed Pilots (BlueLdr/RedLdr/LtZal("I'm in love"))
  • One complete Set of CHARACTER ICON cards  (I like this set best)

ROGUE ONE (Series-2)
  • One complete BASE CARD Set (white)
  • One complete PARALLEL CARD SET (GREEN again)
  • Complete Parallel Subset of X-Wing Uniformed Pilots (BlueLdr/RedLdr/LtZal)
  • (None of the Series-2 inserts thrill me)

30th Anniversary Collection / Hasbro REBATE deal
« on: March 9, 2008, 04:25 PM »
Click on the link to read the hasbro voucher deal...  (this was in my local Pittsburgh sunday paper coupons)

HASBRO PlayRewards deal

Basically, for every $3 you spend on SW (and other brand) until 3.23.08, you'll get a rebate coupon
for $1 (33%) of that amount for FUTURE SW purchases...

-BUT- (ding ding ding  ;D ;D ;D ) its *retroactive* back to Feb-1st.   If you're a receipt-keeper (like
I am), then you can send in your old receipts for free bootle...  Ive already got the $150 in receipts
to send in for my six free figs ($50-worth)

Hope this helps the average Joe Collector out there.

-BH

p.s.  you dont have to send in UPCs/Proofs-of-Purchase, *JUST* the original receipts.
Also, you *do* need to verify that each of your star wars toys is in their list of elegible toys, but it
looks to be complete.  Also, you can add all the toys you bought on a 3x5 card, and dont have to fill
out multiple rebate forms for lots of items.

Umm, can someone answer this (I hesitate to say 'Burning') question...

Do these, um, figures *all* have their bu-double-T hole painted on?

Can someone here provide a pic (just for amusement, mind you) 8)

I guess Id like to mention that I have several of these too (2x Jedi cases, and
4x Sith cases).    Once I get all my new *generic* cases, Id like to sell these.
(cost+s&h) If anyone on this board has interest, you can PM me.  first-come first served.  (official order is order of PMs.  lets not pollute this thread ;) )

Once I got the new ones direct from MR, Ill ping those that first expressed interest.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: 2005 RotS Figures Release List
« on: October 10, 2005, 11:58 AM »
There's a bit more 'musical-chairs' being done at Hasbro.

#68 (Wookie heavy Gunner) has inserts which label him as #64.
#64 (R4P17) has inserts which label the droid as #68)

Actually, I think this is a mixup, and not product-change.  Kinda like
the Maul/Han OTC mixup.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: ROTS - #57 and beyond
« on: October 10, 2005, 11:48 AM »
Found these all at a Target in Pittsburgh this morning.

Of note (and which I hadnt heard anything about until now), the
Wookie heavy gunner has an insert which labels him as #64, but his
cardback labels him as #68.

Similarly, the R4P17 droid is just the opposite.  The insert says the
droid is #68, but his cardback says he's #64)

With this bunch being the final wave of ROTS, I wonder if Hasbro
will bother fixing this.

Other Collectibles / VADER and SITH drink coasters
« on: August 17, 2005, 12:11 PM »
I just got a big order in from SWS.com (my 3D movie poster - Style A ;D) yesterday,
and I had forgotten that I tossed a couple extra items into the order.  Some STAR
WARS drinks coasters...

http://shop.starwars.com/catalog/product.xml?product_id=1910;category_id=423

(I got both the VADER set and the SITH set).

Anyway, I get them, and on the back of the package is this sticker that reads...

" State of California PROP-65.  This product contains or may contain a chemical
known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects and other
reproductive harm. "

Jeezo, thats scary ! :o :o :o.

I opened them up, and they just look like plain metal discs, with cork backing.
(actually, pretty cheapo considering I paid $10 for 5 of them.  $2 ea for a tin
ring and some cork).    I cant imagine whats in them that makes them
dangerous.

Does anyone know?

ROTS Vader is definitely different, but I see no difference on Dooku that makes it worth purchasing. ...

The only real difference between the Dooku ROTS and the AOTC is the color of
the lower 'elbow'.  (which is hardly any difference at all).  BUT, the display stand
will be different, because it doesnt list the saber as belonging to "Count Dooku",
but to "Darth Tyrannus".    Some might say that Dooku should be refered-to by
his SITH name, instead of his JEDI name.  Other than that, its exactly the
same lil widget...

Hi Jesse.  BomBadDave checking in...

If you hadnt caught the news... that MediaPlay in Monroeville is closing
their doors TODAY (8/12).  The still had about 6 peg of the AoD figs, and
all marked with 75%-off stickers.

(Plus, you know the Suncoast at the mall has these too, for about 60%-off)

just  letting you know..
