Agreed. He's the highlight of the set for sure, and really the main reason I bought it.

Yeah I like the Rex quite a bit, and it's nice to finally have a good version of him. But I don't like the binoculars rangefinder they gave him. I don't think he even has that in the show, does he? I may cut mine off and leave just the regular rangefinder.

Still haven’t even opened mine.  I’m drained.  I got a giant box of **** from bbts and it was all I could do to open that even.  I have way too much garbage on top of work to enjoy any of this stuff and feel burned out.

It took me a few days to muster up the energy, because it's just a big ass box. But once I did and got it set up...

If you use tweezers a lot for projects, then I'd definitely say you should use them. I'd heard a ton of reports of the weapons locker taking people over an hour to do, but I was able to do it in about >20 mins. But taking the doors off is a must, and take off the ship roof and the wall too. And honestly, it's probably easier to do it before you put the engines on.

Mine are supposed to be here today, but one of them is in New Jersey and the other is in Pennsylvania. I'm in Massachusetts. I'm fully expecting them to go into the dreaded Fedex "delivery pending" status for a few days.

Remember that guy (I think he was somewhere in South America) that made that huge 3.75" scale Sandcrawler?  I'd love Hasbro to do something like that!

Michael Fright!

He also made a Rebel Blockade Runner that was scaled to 3.75" scale that he hauled around on a flatbed semi.

Rob, thank you for this link. I thought his work had been lost to the ages, but it seems like I can reacquaint myself with this stuff. I'm going to check out his comment section first, to see what others are saying.

Unfortunately the Throne Room probably only has five figures that interact with it during the movies.  I'd love to see this element built in to a Death Star playset, but I'm really not that interested on its own.

+1  I want playsets that let me stash a lot of different figures in there.  Cantina, Sandcrawler, Rebel Briefing, Ewok Village, Echo Base, etc.  Jabba's Throne room is ideal, though even that I'm a little less interested in because of the barge.  I wouldn't want a big playset for Dagobah or Emperor's Throne Room or Ahch-To Island because I'm only going to dedicate a few figures to something that takes up a big chunk of space.

I don't know, just looking at my throne room setup, I have the Emperor, Mara Jade, the Dignitaries, Xizor, two Royal Guards, Luke and Darth Vader.

Luke and Vader are in three mini-scenes: clashing lightsabers, Luke on the ground while Vader throws the Emperor, and the Darth Vader unmasking (which admittedly doesn't happen in the throne room).

And that's all on a small shelf. If I had a larger display for the throne room, I would probably use it as more of an Imperial display, when my son wasn't having Luke and Vader battle it out.

I feel like the Sarlaac would be a great environment, since it "connects" with the Sail Barge and Skiff(s), with all the figures related to that. It also appears in new media (BOBF), and Return of the Jedi's 40th anniversary is next year.

My other choice would be the Emperor's throne room, since we just got a new Emperor for that, along with the window. It's super toyetic (all of Luke and Vader's 3rd act action was here), and it could be an avenue for them to "complete the 96" by including Sim Aloo, who would absolutely tank of pegs by himself.

My two Razor Crests are in the mail! Unfortunately, it says they'll be here on Tuesday...wha whaaaaaa. I always prefer getting something cool like this on the weekend, so I'm not unboxing during a meeting.

Speaking from experience, it's FAR more costly to build this one yourself, once you factor in time, paint, supplies, etc. Just sculpting all the little accessories would take a long time. Sure, you can buy a lot of the things piecemeal from 3d artists on eBay—some good stuff for sure—but you still have to paint and generally modify ****. This is a much easier alternative.

I mean, if you value your time at $0 then you could build it cheaper for sure. But it's an endeavor that takes a ton of time to do well.

FYI, if you're placing preorders through EE this afternoon, this coupon code is still valid: 2103212

I just ordered Yoda and a case of the 501st Clones and it saved me $15.

Thanks! I didn't see an option to buy a solid case of them, but I ordered 8 (which I'm assuming is the same thing) and the coupon worked!

I haven't seen him on Amazon. He's on Pulse, but limit of 2. He's $15.99 for some reason at Dorkside. They're usually my go to for pre-orders, but that seems a bit steep for army building.

I really enjoyed the finale! Sure there weren't any real jaw dropping surprises like in the Mando season 2 finale, but it was just a fun end to this limited series.

Sure the price is a bit high, but man that thing looks great, and Bib looks awesome. Even though I already have a Jabba's Palace diorama, I'm planning to get this so I can have a Bib/Boba palace without displacing Jabba and his court.
