Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Shoes, Sneaks, Kicks - What Do You Wear?
« on: March 29, 2004, 05:50 PM »
My feet whips include a pair of Pumas (because I am super fly) and the rest of the time I wear Kenneth Cole boats or some prada beaters.

My wife is a shoe buyer for neiman marcus so my whips are always way ahead of what everyone else is wearing...thanks to her. she usually buys me some shoes when shes in Italy on her buying trips. The Hogans never really caught on over here but I still wear the pair she bought me 3 years ago.

"Money won't buy me happiness but it will buy me a yacht big enough to park right next to it"
DLR.

That was a quote from rolling stone magazine in all his superficial glory. I loved Dave for what he was an Arrogant SOB that backed up everything he said and if he didn't who the hell cared it was damn entertaining.

I love Diamond Dave I was able to catch them on tour for 1984 and 5150 .  I remember wanting the ukon jack guitar and those floursecent green suspenders like it was yesterday.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: racing games need help deciding

You hit all the major ones. I did try playing R Racing Evolution recently. The game was pretty bad overall, but you have some really cool features like on board adjustments to your car while your racing(i.e tire pressure, camber, etc). I also had the opportunity to drive the Lotus elise (one of the sports car I am considering buying) so that made it  cool. Overall don't  expect much from the game especially if your a GT3 player.

8. There is nothing better than cruising down a coastal highway blaring The Eagles.

Indeed.   8)  Can't recall where you are Gary.  You got a coast by you to do that on?

I'm in Texas but I'm on a beach  in Mexico, Jersey, Virginia Aruba as often as possible several times a year.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Shark almost attacks boy in Lake (Photo)
« on: March 19, 2004, 07:07 PM »
I have been interested in this shark since the late 80's it's one of the most primitve species of shark  still in exsistence. This shark wasn't discovered until sometime in the 70's and few are know to be alive. They range in size and are a close cousine of the whale shark.

I personally think a mahi mahi and a bull shark got together and started doing the wild thing. (i just got skeevedthinking about wild fish sex).

forgot the linky to a information page Get yourself an education on a nasty looking shark

I am well aware that sharks and other species make there way into brackish water, but that far inland is highly unlikely because even the most adapated Sharks (consider the bull shark) It must osmoregulate at the rate of twice the water a fsalt water shark does most of them cannot live in all freshwater for a very long time. But hey that's just my .02
Speaking of cool sharks they have found a 19th megamouth
Megamouth

I started a number of years ago at TFN and Sir Steves. A group of us migrated to CSW after the infamous ISE incident. I was a fan of mikes work and started moderating for him at CSW. I really liked that site because everyone was nerd chic. I found Jedi defender a while ago but I lurked until today.

I started collecting in 1977 took a hiatus in the late 80's early 90's and continued my pursuit again in the 90's . I wouldn't  necessarily call myself a snob. I'm just less likely these days to reply to threads. Not because I don't lurk, more because of the insufferable attitudes and arrogance. Most collectors think they know everything I can tell you thay Don't, I do(that's sarcasm for those of you offended and arrogant). That's why I rarely post in the vintage threads moderns threads or post modern neo classsic vintage saga threads(or whateever they choose to call each era of figures).  It's BS most people know what they have and over rate there inflated opinions about it  (not unlike me). I know what I have I know why it's great to have or was a stupid purchase. I will share my collection with you,but honestly I don't display a damn item in my house, but I can tell you I'm complete  with  my entire collection(excluding vintage). So I wouldn't call myself a snob I have something in common with you , but lets face it we all have paticular we care about not one collector is the same. Some  collectors are stupid anal, thinking the will get absolute perfection from a carded vintage figure, others are happy with the raggy card just hanging onto the bubble. Why am I going to debate with you over an open figure or carded figure it's pointless and contributes nothing to my life outside of the small group of friends that collect and here in this forum. Oh by the way I'm a carded collector for those of you not caring enough to read this post. So, I just want to spare you the hassle of talking to me about star wars  when you appproach yes I am complete, yes I meticulously shop for vintage figures, yes I'm hoping your more interesting to talk to outside of a star wars relevant conversation. Yes I'm a bit of an            a' whole.
