What do you think it'll be? IMO, it'll probally be Holiday Anakin Skywalker (III-02 re-pack). ::)
-
What I Hope We Will Get:
Newly sculpted Wicket as an Elf (Based on McQuarrie Concept art)
What Hasbro Will Give Us:
POTF2 Rancor Keeper, with a Green & Red paintjob. Merry Christmas!
-
If they do one, my guess would be Wicket and some ewoks.
-
That Wicket sounds cool, maybe Santbacca! :P
-
Pregnant Padme & Obi-Wan Kenobi w/ baby Luke and a manger and stable.
-
I never buy the holiday figure. They could make it a Jabba and Gardulla as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus 2 pack for $4.99 and I'd still leave it on the shelf.
Okay maybe I'd buy that one, but nothing short of that creativity and bargain.
-
I did not buy the crappy Vader one but I reallys liek my santa yoda, xmas r2 & 3po and even the jawas with gifts.
I would buy a taun taun with anthlers or a xmas color mini rig ala vintage.

Same here.
I did manage to get a Threepio/Artoo x-mas set for $1.00 per figure - so I have a loose one of them. But that's it. And I'd need to run into similar deals to get the Jawas or any of the rest.

i totally agree....
-
I loved the C-3PO/R2 pack as well as Yoda. The Jawas were a little weak but still nice enough that I bought a set. The Vader last year, though, was a slap in the face.
I passed. I won't be back for more holiday figures unless Hasbro steps up and shows some cleverness like they did with the first two releases.

My holiday figure wish:
Essentially, an Early Bird Chewbacca with Hoth Deco
Give him a Santa hat and the mesh bag used to carry C-3PO, but have sculpted presents inside instead. Also, instead of his bowcaster give him a big "Santa's List" that scrolls around and stops in a pile on the ground. The backdrop could be an illustration of the ramp of the falcon (with snowy foot prints leading up the ramp) you can also see loads of presents stacked up on the floor of the Millennium Falcon.

I like the Santa Chewie idea but Wicket is a strong contender because if they tool him up right with a removable hat they can recycle him with a new sculpt in the Saga 07 line. More Ewoks are welcome in my opinion. :D
-
EWOKS suck in my opinion (I didn't get to relish seeing enough of them die in ROTJ) but I think that Chewie idea makes alot of sense and sounds like a likely choice..if they did it Jaybird's way I could see myself buying.
-
I want Jabba/Gardulla thing! Well besides the fact that Jabba hired Jango to kill her. :P
The Chewie idea would be so sweet, too.

Uhh... what?

Yah, really... Is it just me, or did Jango die twenty-some years before Gardulla's first appearance?
-
Actually Gardulla appeared in TPM. Jabba hired Jango to kill her.

For some reason Jabba/Gardulla doesn't say "Holiday Season" to me. ;)
And I'd trust a "wiki entry" about as much as a Oprah Book of the Month recommendation. :P
-
Oh gosh. I saw 'Gardulla' and thought 'Yarna'... all twenty-some times I must've read it. I stand corrected. Still, I think a poorly-selling video game's plot shouldn't be used to un-justify a holiday figure. They are meant to be creative and obviously have no place in Star Wars canon anyway.
-
Yeah I no, just a little joke that no one understood. :P

Creativity went out the window last year...the other 3 at least were based on a precedent (previous Lucasfilm Holiday Cards). Last years was a test to see what crap people would buy. This years is even better:

LOL. Yeah, the thing is they could've of made a Santa Vader & used a better sculpt. They'd probally re-hash the POTF 2 Jabba for Santa Jabba. ::)

Oh crap ... I'm a sucker for Hutts so I'd buy that. ???
-
The following is merely an idea and not real...
Santa Squad: $24.99
x1 Santa Clone: Retool of the the ROTS No. 41 figure with metallic red + green with santa hat +pauldron and red and green kama
x3 Elve Clone: Matallic Green repaint of AT-TE Gunner (No pauldron or extra helmet armor piece)
That coming from a Hanukka guy. :P
But hey I'd buy Santa Clones!
-
Get out ;)
-
i would love a two pack with santa poggle, a geonosian elf, and a two folded-up battle droids with bows around them on an assembly line. 'Geonosian Toy Factory!' holiday multi-pack...
...or a sings-with-the-push of a button Ackmena!
Yeah, THAT would make my christmas magical(ly terrifying!) :D :(
-

he has a better sculpt than POTF 2 Jabba.
-
Well, POTF2 Jabba was pretty accurate to the 1997 Special Edition Jabba he was supposed to depict. Not Hasbro's fault that he looked dissimilar to ROTJ Jabba.
Compared to "standard Jabba" from ROTJ, TPM, and the revamped 2004 DVD ANH, the Episode I "Jabba Glob" actually has a really good sculpt; Hasbro even repainted it and rereleased it in the Ultra line as ROTJ Jabba (sans the goo).
