Customizing Tips and Tricks / Great patch material!
« on: November 20, 2005, 12:17 PM »
I just posted this at RS as well.

Some of you might be using this stuff already, but I have just discovered it... or re-discovered it after aleady using it on wood and plastics for years around the house.

It's called Poly Instafil and is made by LePage.

It comes in small tubs. The image is just about actual size. You can spread it like peanut butter. It dries really quickly and turns to almost a plastic when it is dry.

It's pure white and takes acrylic and oil paints without any problems. Plus it doesn't shrink over time and fall out of holes.

GREAT STUFF!

I just used it to fill the screw holes in m custom ARC fighter.

Star Wars Action Figures / Tedious Customs *UPDATED... AGAIN!*
« on: November 13, 2005, 06:03 PM »
I haven't been Star Wars customizing for very long, so I don't have a heck of a lot of stuff to show, but I thought I'd throw in anyway.

I hope you like the stuff and I love to hear your comments and suggestions.

I thought Id' start off slow with my Mace Windu Jedi Starfighter incl. his R4-P22 astromech.

This is a smuggler based on the alien in the Star Wars Bountyhunter game ad.

A simple custom using Myo's head and forearms on Plo Koon's body.

This is my favourite custom so far.

A closer look at Mace's astromech.

That's all for now, util my time frees up some and I can do more work. Anyone who has already seen this stuf on the RS boards, I apologize for the repetition.  :P

« on: November 12, 2005, 08:28 PM »
Hey all.

I'm new to the JD boards. I was told about you guys at the RS forum by CHEWIE.

I am pretty new to Star Wars customizing and I've been checking out the customs area at some of the stuff the members here post and it's... well... impressive, most impressive!

I'm looking forward to  getting to know you all.

See you on the boards.  :)
