All last year's teams should receive an email. We have room for more more teams (I'm looking at you El Jeffe) and newcomers are welcome.
I set a rather arbitrary draft time. I'm hoping, but not counting on the season starting on time. I'll set an actual date and time once we know when the league will actually start playing.

Anyone else get an email saying our draft was last night? I did... then I forgot about it... then I checked to see what my team looks like and found out that we still have over two weeks to go.

Yeah, sorry. I got the email too and then went and changed the date. I honestly don't expect the season to start on time and I'd guess we're looking at January before we get going. So I'll just keep pushing the date back. It's currently set at the latest date Yahoo allows but I assume that will move as the NHL cancels regular season games.

Moved draft date to October 17 (Wednesday) which is the latest date on Yahoo at the moment. I'm not keen on the date as I'll be in Turkey at the time, but we'll see what happens.
Would be nice to add a couple more players, all are welcome.

Nope, work - conference. Won't get much sightseeing time either, maybe only a day, so it's going to be mildly depressing on that point given all the history in the region. Not real keen on the Syrian situation at the moment, but I should be far enough away.

For the sake of those here that don't read email from me:
Draft is scheduled for 17th. This is the latest date Yahoo currently allows. I'll be away and unless Yahoo allows me to move it back prior to Saturday morning, the draft likely will remain scheduled for that day. I'm assuming the NHL/NHLPA haven't gone through the full pissing match yet, so more games will be cancelled. I'll have to leave the draft to run as is but I'll delete the results when I return so we can have a live draft as we should.

Whaddya know, Yahoo changed draft time. Now moved to Tuesday October 30 8:30 P.M. CST. I expect it will move again if it happens at all.

Changed. I generally ignore emails from Yahoo, so forgot at this point. Thanks for the reminder. Moved it into late December. Hah.

Yahoo won't let me change it as of this point in time. ::) Honestly, Friday is the last day for drafting and they haven't resolved the CBA yet.
I assume they'll open more dates tonight or tomorrow and I'll change it once they do. Otherwise just let it run on auto-draft and I'll kill the results. Hell, the auto-draft might be the most we get out of the NHL this year anyway.

Fixed the draft (obviously) and moved it to what will or won't be the actual draft date. It will be if we actually have a season which may or may not happen though I'm sensing a resolution tomorrow evening after the other NFL games are over. Or maybe timed just between the two of them. That should jinx it.

Draft is this Wednesday night folks. I made one change to the set-up. Games per position is 48 (Yahoo oddly had it at 41 which possibly relates to the number of games remaining on the original schedule that is now irrelevant) so there are no extra games to stock up on.
Still waiting on Jeff to sign up for the shortened season.

Not going to happen. I'll be here (http://wild.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=650216) on Wednesday night and don't feel like trusting auto-draft for a 48game dash roster... sorry!

Two of the guys here locally tried to sign up tonight after 8:15. Both were in the pool previously so were invited when I initially started the league for this year. Word to the wise, you can't join the league in the last 30 minutes.

I dunno, the season is short enough that the Leafs might not play long enough to come to their usual point of collapse. They do quite well through the first third of the season so they've got a better than average shot. :-X

Brent, the 'Projected Games' stat at the bottom of my team page is all screwed up because of the shortened season -- any idea if Yahoo will fix that? I've kinda relied on it in the past to avoid running out of players for games near the end of the season.

Beyond my control so I can't fix it.
I'm quite certain Yahoo will get around to it but I'd guess that'll be after the Super Bowl and before spring training starts. Hockey is not a big priority for Yahoo fantasy wise and having seen the participation, or lack thereof, in mock drafts, it's not much surprise.
So bear with it for a couple of weeks, then it should be fixed.
Note that it's just a regular slate of 48 games per position/slot (each where we have 2 e.g. LW). This is a change from previous years when we've had extra games for each slot.

with 27 days to go, I don't think I have time to catch up... I'm thinking it comes down to you and Brent for 1 and 2, with 3 being a toss up between the other two.

I was feeling pretty good about my chances until Crosby took a puck to the kisser. :'( I'm just hoping they'll drop him on IR. I'm sure he's not coming back but still painful to drop him.

Gross mismanagement on my part throughout the season I'd have to say. The sheer number of points on the bench is stunning, but I suppose all could say that. Losing Crosby took the wind out of my sails for sure.
