My musical tastes generally go all over the place, but here are a few favorites.

Genesis (particularly Duke and earlier)
Frank Zappa
Tool
Sleepytime Gorilla Museum

I think Hasbro just want's lines they can carrier that carry themselves with no TV ad marketing.

As a business owner, wouldn't you want that?  That's just common business sense to focus on products that have a lesser cost of production and marketing.

I ordered eight Docs for a friend in Singapore a while back.  Six of them arrived yesterday, each one of which had the white boxes smashed to hell.  :|  I haven't opened any to see how they look on the inside, but I have a bad feeling he's not going to be too pleased about it.

Not to mention that I have to wonder where the other two are.

I saw Wonder Woman and Cyborg at a TRU here a couple of days ago.

Damn, the Wonder Woman looks awesome.  The line just keeps getting better.

Celtic Frost, To Mega Therion

Sweet, that's one of my favorite pieces of H.R.Giger artwork.

Question.  Does the Breaker in the Trouble Bubble set have all of the accessories that the comic pack version came with (helmet, communicator, bubble gum, etc)?  Also, in the first wave of vehicles the figures didn't come with stands - do they in the newer releases?

On the subject of good vampire movies for Halloween, I just finished Salem's Lot.  I ordered it and Terror Train (one of my favorite slasher flicks from the 80s) from BestBuy.com a few days ago.  I figured there would be no way I'd get them in time for Halloween, especially after placing my order and seeing an expected delivery date of 11/1-11/7.  But guess what was on my doorstep this afternoon.  :)

But yeah, AMC has had crap for horror movies and that Haunted Hill remake was garbage.  I did like that Rush and Jannsen were pretty over the top in their performances (and of course that Jannsen was smokin') but it ended up being pretty ridiculous.

A day late, but I might try and knock out my "Halloween Trilogy" tomorrow.  I think #1, #2 and H20 tell the whole story well.  #1 and #2 were great, and I think H20 was pretty decent, could have easily followed #2, and put a good close to the whole saga.  Of course they ****** it up afterwards by releasing Resurrection, but that's to be expected.

Opened up my wave 10 today.  The Paratrooper was the real surprise for me.  What a fantastic figure.  A load of accessories and just a nice looking figure.  Only big issue was that the hoses limited his head movement.  Croc Master and Mutt & Junkyard were excellent as well.  Nothing good or bad to say about Duke or Cobra Bazooka Trooper.  Wraith...don't care for it at all.  Virtually no movement in the arms due to those stupid hoses.  Otherwise I guess it looks nice but it was my least favorite of the bunch.

But a little more articulation would have helped

It's for this reason I can't get into DC Direct's stuff.  Most of it looks really nice, but the combination of limited articulation and stiff poses sucks away all the excitement me.  They do make some interesting characters though, no question there.

I'm still shocked that Wal Mart has an exclusive DCU line.  They're not carrying anything from the 6" or 3 3/4" line.  I'm sure it's so they could use their own series to test the market, and to avoid the risk of the first four waves sitting around before their exclusive wave hits, but it still seems a bit strange to me.

Haven't seen wave 4 around here personally but I've heard more than one person say they've found bits of it.

They're great looking figures but like most of NECA's stuff their articulation is a hindrance.  I bought some of Series 1 to photograph for our Toy Database (pics here for anyone interested) and was pretty impressed.  Awesome paint and detail.

I noticed series 3 at BBTS yesterday.

I kind of wish we still had some KBs here.  I last few disappeared a few years ago, and the closest we have now is around 2 1/2 hours away.  I didn't take advantage of them while they were here but I'd love to pick up some cheap stuff now.  :)

Anyone interested in seeing the Dallas and Kane figures reviewed, I did up a review for ToyTraderz.  Freakin' awesome figures aside from the head sculpt on Kane (which I confirmed to be due to a licensing issue).  It appears these have been pretty successful, so I can only hope we'll see others from the Nostromo crew.

I've been meaning to buy the 3-packs to shoot for our Toy Database but never jumped on them.  After getting the standard figures i was ready to grab them and was appalled to see the outrageous price increase.  ****....they weren't even selling at $9.99, do they really think they'll fly off the shelves at $16.99?

Guess I'll hope for a decrease or get them for $11.99 at TRU.
