Title: 6" Scale AT-ST
Post by: Jayson on September 10, 2014, 12:00 AM
We talked about this on Episode #29 of The Realm Recap but I thought is was too awesome not to share here: This guy on Facebook is scratch building a 6" AT-ST and so far it is crazy good.

Yeah, this guy is on fire with that thing. He hasn't started on the interior yet, but I hope he will go the whole nine yards and add a detailed interior as well.

Hasbro should take note, because fellow customizer Spudafett whipped up a classy looking AT-RT for his custom 6" Kashyyyk Trooper in no time. And let's not forget the 3D printed 6" TIE Interceptor.

Got to see some pics of this thanks to Jayson (no FB account for me) and wow that's a nice scratch-build.  The attention to detail is remarkable...  The AT-ST's models are deceptively intricate.  I'm curious if he's attempting any articulation on it though?  I assume not, judging by what I saw, save for perhaps the head turning.

Strength is the biggest obstacle...  having it stand under weight is always a challenge to be figured out on any scratch-build, but on walkers it's a bit more challenging I think.
