Very nice. Glad to see TROS will be getting a Droid 4-pack just like the other movies in the ST did.

I've been able to track down 17 out of the 18 total (I'm not going to go crazy and try to track down a double set for the two different shades of green - as far as I'm concerned, Hasbro intended on there being a "green" part - if some of my green parts are dark green and others are more of a forest green, I really do not care).

Anyway, using Rob's short-hand, here's what I need:

[  ] Orange Helmet - Green Torso - Green Lightsaber

Here's what I still have to trade:

[  ] Green Helmet - Yellow Torso - Orange Lightsaber (x3)
[  ] Red Helmet - Purple Torso - Blue Lightsaber (x2)
[  ] Orange Helmet - Blue Torso - Orange Lightsaber
[  ] Yellow Helmet - Blue Torso - Yellow Lightsaber (damaged cardback)
[  ] Yellow Helmet - Red Torso - Red Lightsaber

Would prefer to conduct a trade more than selling them...

Wow still available as of 6:20pm ET - I don't know if that's a good sign or a bad sign. The Aphra set was easy to score as well, I ended up getting a total of five of those (for the droids) before it sold out. If I see my order from today ship, and it's still in stock at that point, I might grab a third Luke 3-pack.

So I was able to pick up five of my orders this morning. Out of those 10, only 4 new variations that I didn't have and 6 that I already had, with one of those six being a definite return because the cardback is badly curled at the top.

I still don't have any variations with the Purple helmet.

Of the four new variations I got, it was the third Blue version I didn't have, two Red Helmet versions and an Orange helmet version.

So that brings my total up to 10 out of the 18 variations that exist.

Keeping my fingers crossed that in the remaining order I have left to get, there is at least one Purple helmet version.

Ended up with another one of those Green Helmet, Yellow Torso, Red Right Arm, Purple Left Arm, Orange Right Leg, Blue Left Leg variations in this batch of 10 as well.  :-\  So now I have three extra of that variation.

I'm up for starting a trading thing here with anyone else dumb enough to try it.

That would be me.

I put in seven orders of two each myself - and I already had six with five of them being unique. Six of my seven orders are ship-to-store and I should hopefully have them tomorrow or Thursday. The seventh order I ordered with a BluRay to get over the $25 order add-on restriction and with this order I was able to pick up another duplicate and a sixth unique version - so I have 2x Green, 2x Yellow and 2x Blue helmet versions (yeah! one third of the way there!)

I have two "extras" and unfortunately, they are both the same - Green Helmet, Yellow Torso, Red Right Arm, Purple Left Arm, Orange Right Leg, Blue Left Leg.

Obviously I'll know what I still need once I get the other 12 I have on their way to me. I have ZERO illusions that I'm going to score the remaining 12 I need to complete the set in those, but I wouldn't mind AT LEAST getting one variation of Red, Orange and Purple helmet.

My thinking is that whatever I have extra, I'll trade for variations I'm missing and/or just return them to Target.

I guess the subject of this thread needs to change to Spider-Man Leaves the Marvel Movie Universe.

Should I just give up looking for these in store? None have ever showed up around here according to Brickseek and at this point I don’t know if they ever will.

I'm thinking the answer to this is "yes" - unless Target is holding back stock on these for Triple Force Friday since there really isn't going to be a lot of 3.75" product released.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the only thing we should be expecting is a single TVC wave, the Yavin 4 Luke exclusive at Walmart and the Red 5 X-Wing - considering that no 5POA figures are coming for EP9, I could see Target wanting to expand their offerings - but that would mean that someone at Target is *REALLY* paying attention, and unfortunately, we all know that they aren't.

Got my two orders of two each from Target yesterday. This time I lucked out and was able to get four unique variants, 2 with Yellow heads and 2 with Blue heads, but the rest of the parts were different thankfully - so now I have five variants in all out of the 18 total available.

I would gladly get more should I walk into a Target and actually see them or have the ability to order more from the Target website/app, but I'm definitely not going to pay $35 for each version, if all I end up are the five I have now, then so be it.

Last year, I had no problem ordering the Aphra/0-0-0/Beetee 3-pack, the Chewie w/Porgs and Centerpiece TFA Rey vs. Kylo - I could have also easily ordered 6" black series item - I think it was Han w/Mynock if my memory serves.

I ended up with five of the Aphra sets - so I want to say that I was even able to go back and place a 2nd order - that's how long that 3-pack lingered.

I don't think Luke will linger as long, I am definitely hoping he will not be a "blink and you miss him" situation either.

I think the 6" Boba Fett will be the tough one.

Finally able to cross this line off my list - I ordered the Obi-Wan, Rey, Kylo Ren, Grievous and Darth Maul from WalMart and then I grabbed the Boba Fett off eBay, so while I didn't really need the packaging variants, the entire run of 3.75" GoA figures are in my collection now.

I will not be collecting the 5" scale ones - I have zero interest in starting another scale.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Vintage Collection Rumors

I can't even begin to wonder how a $99 Luke X-wing would be justified unless it was brand new perfect scale molding with electronics. I personally believe that the Vintage Biggs X-Wing/Trench Run mold is so close to perfect that an upgrade isn't all that necessary. Just re-release that mold as Red Leader, Red 2, Red 4, Red 6, Blue Leader and one more Blue fighter.

Agreed - I do not understand why they needed to take another stab at the X-Wing when the larger one they already released was good enough. I'm actually more surprised that Disney didn't pressure them into releasing a larger scale version of Poe's X-Wing.

The Vintage Collection / Re: 2019 TVC Wave 5 (aka New TVC Wave 8)

I have a case coming from EE, I ordered it for the deco & carback variation on Fett and I was hoping that in this case there would be a running change with R2-D2 where he would come in pristine/clean condition to match the cardback. I've seen no evidence that such a variant exists, so that's going to end up being purely wishful thinking on my part.  :-[

I am thinking about converting one of the Chewbacca figures to be a SA version of Chewie from the Solo movie as a companion to the TVC Young Solo that was released.

Got both my Hasbro Pulse Order of 2 Skiffs as well as my order from Amazon for a third (2nd opener). I had a Skiff order with Amazon going way back to around Toy Fair time that Amazon actually cancelled on me, so I'm glad I was able to still get a 3rd.

I just got done opening and assembling one - very nice companion piece to the Khetanna - definitely glad I'm going to have two open. Really like how they included a second staboard-side railing so you can display a "damaged" one with the railing partially damaged, cabling dangling from the skiff and Han being held by his ankles to fish Lando out of the Sarlaac.

134
My money’s on Pete!  ;D

Nope, I'm crazy, but not THAT crazy, haha!

I was hoping to score somewhere between 2 and 4 variants, but that was it. I am also perfectly happy just having one.

It should be fewer than that if they don't allow for the same color to be in adjacent spots.

If we assume the rules from above (one part color#1, one part color#2, one part color#3, one part color#4, one part color#5, two parts color#6) and add a rule that parts that touch can't have the same color we'd reduce 4320 by 1/6th to 3600.

Example -
Torso - six possible colors
r arm - five possible colors
l arm - four possible colors
r leg - three possible colors
l leg = two possible colors
head - one possible color
saber - five possible colors (can't match r arm)

6*5*4*3*2*1*5=3600

This is it - well done! I totally forgot the fact that if it's say, a Red right arm, then you're definitely NOT going to get a Red Lightsaber blade in the figure. So yeah - for each Right Arm, there are only a total of five possible blade colors.

Ok - so still - with 3600 possible permutations - how on Earth, if ordered two did I end up with two identical ones?!?!!? That's not cool!  >:(

The best reasoning I can think of for that to happen is that if these come in cases of six, like the Retro Collection Wave 1 figures did, each case contains 6 x of one permutation and there were a total of 3600 cases produced. That would then mean, there are a grand total of 3600 x 6 = 21,600 of these made - that seems low, but I guess in today's collecting market, that might actually be the right number.

Needless to say, I'm going to do exactly what Jeff is planning on doing, check the Target App on Friday morning, see if my store is showing as having them in stock and head over there in an attempt to score one more so I can at least have a 2nd variant and if by some miracle they show up again online in the Target app/website, I might order it again for a possible 3rd variant, but that would be it.
