The Legacy Collection / Re: Scramble on Yavin Battle Pack

Very cool news.  I guess there's wireless internet service in the room.  Gotta love realtime news like that.  The best part?  I don't know which figure to be more excited about!

EE is probably waiting until after Hasbro makes their own presentation.

First, nobody's opinion is invalid so can we just leave the way people feel about it out of the conversation?  I've said this in the past, it's not a difficult rule to follow really...  Someone doesn't like it?  Fine...  State why you do or don't, but lay off the "Some people just like to complain" remarks because they're not appreciated on this board.  Enjoy the toy if you want, and don't enjoy it if you don't...  Everyone has valid reasons for both points of view.

Agreed.  Offering an opinion on someone else's opinion strays off topic and it's not conducive to an honest discussion about the actual product.

Second...  I'm in the camp that does NOT like this...  Not for $50.  $30, maybe...  I dig the womprat, the paintjob is nice and spiffs it up a bit, but the figures are a detraction from the set to me and have to be factored into the overall "value" here.

I agree here to an extent.  I think the idea is good.  The dome from the Homestead is one of those images that brings you back to ANH.  And seeing that in plastic form is cool.  And a womp rat too?  Very cool indeed!

But there are some definite negatives to go along with the positives.  The price is prohibitive.  Especially because I think the dome itself isn't much better as a set piece than the POTF2 Endor bunker or Hoth playsets.  And both of those sold at a $19.99 price point.

Certainly you also need to factor in the figures as well, but those aren't impressive.  We're getting 2 POTF2 repacks (which look very dated) and a TSC Sandtrooper plus the new Womprat as well as the moisture vaporator.  But even if you price the figures at $5 each, the pack should only cost about $40 at the most.  I feel like those of us who would really like the dome are getting squeezed a bit.

Ahhhh.  It's a Dark Horse Legacy themed pack.

Not an absolutely terrible pack.  The figure versions aren't terrible.  And the pack in accessories are actually well thought out.  Anybody else notice the rebreather masks from the Mynock hunt?  Plus the blastshield helmet, bacta tourniquet and cargo containers.

Pretty cool!  I figured Han Solo would be a part of this pack.  R2 looks awesome.  The Biker Scout is an obvious pack-in.  And finally, a black uni Imperial Officer!!!!

The womp rat is definitely a cool addition to this pack.

I had read about the Skiff in the Q&A's.  But the Sarlacc Pit is a complete and welcome surprise.  Too bad about the repack figures though.

A couple of significant transactions in the past couple of days.

Jason Taylor (Miami Dolphins - DE) gets traded to the Washington Redskins.  I'm sure he's happy to be playing anywhere other than that cesspool that Miami has become.  I don't know if even Bill Parcells in the front office can save that team.

Jeremy Shockey (NY Giants - TE) gets traded to the New Orleans Saints for a couple of draft picks.  Honestly, I was expecting this a little sooner.  Especially with training camp opening at the end of the week.  Shockey wasn't enough of a team guy and it showed.  He became too much of a distraction and seemed to be second-guessing Eli Manning.  His productivity wasn't spectacular.  And Manning seemed more comfortable with rookie Kevin Boss at the TE position.  This really seems like a case of addition by subtraction by the Giants.

The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: Clone Wars AT-TE

Each  of the legs has labeling on it to indicate where it should be attached.  And there are three different size legs.  Here's the sizing with the labels:

LARGE LEGS - Mid-section, labeled MR & ML
MEDIUM LEGS - Front, labeled FR & FL
SMALL LEGS - Rear - labeled RR & RL

As for which side is left or right, orient the AT-TE as if you're the driver.  The legs on the right side are from front to back - FR, MR & RR.  The legs on the left side being FL, ML, RL.

Additionally, the points where the front & rear legs attach can be moved in order to more easily access the attachment points.  Pull those away from the hull slightly to get the attachment points completely unobstructed.

I get the feeling that you may have the legs on the wrong attachment points.  I'm having no problems with the legs on my own AT-TE.

True.  Who can forget the first center that was ever done in the line?  But I don't think it's a great example since Mawae was much more limited in release than any of the other Jets.  And it's actually been a good number of years since even Mawae came out.
