I think the colors of the Stormie Luke and Bespin Luke are slightly different shades. What do you guys think?

Also I think the hair is different between the Earlybird/Cared Luke and Bespin/Stormie Luke.

It's a damn good fake if it is one. I don't think it is the whole truth, but they could be real. Possibly a friend of his works at the factory and he nabbed some for him. Or he got hold of a stole mold and then produced his own. Or maybe it is the truth. Who knows? I wouldn't buy one from him though.

God, no more Fetts please Mr. Medicom, Sir. But unfortunately I guess there is one or 2 more variations to go after this.

I can't get over the nuttiness of the old "transformer"

It doesn't really become anything! lol, you just move the wings around!

I love the cheezy Takara stuff.

:) It was funny reading those first few posts back in 2002. I don't hear many "cute" and "gorgeous" references any more. Just sighs and groans about the current prices. $85 for and Earlybird Set!!  :o I remember selling quite a few for a $95 but you'd be lucky to get one for $120 now.  Matt, you are the original Kubrick King, for your foresight, rather than the size or your collection. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

Actually, I think production numbers might be way up on this series. Demand has been growing for the Star Wars line and since production is based on pre-orders by retails it stands to reason that there was ordered and therefore produced than for past Series. For that reason there might be alot more chases around, as Brent suggested. That is unless Medicom capped the prodution numbers, which would not be beyond then.

I I probably will. They are reasonable inexpensive and they look pretty cool I think.

I was at the local post office in Japan today and I noticed that Japan Post are going to release a set of 10 Star Wars stamps with Luke, Leia, Han, Anakin, Padme, Vader, Yoda, C-3PO & R2, Ben and Boba. They are are nicely laid out on a sheet and will retail for $30. Pretty cool.

Jeff. IMO what happened to you was a scam. Have you recieved any money back? I mean, if you get a Master case, you need those chases to make it worth while. I'd be asking for at least $120 for the fact that there were no chases. That is unless you got the Master Case at a discounted rate.

It wouldn't be the first Star Wars transformer. Takara had a Transforming X-Wing out in the 70's.

I think this one is kind of cool. I don't much care for the Hasbro proposition.

Well, as a follow up to my story:

The Dude and his two friends (in Japan) opened up 3 Master Cases between them.  I thought I was getting one of the Master Cases they ordered and they were spiltting the other two, but that was not the case (obviously).

It sounds like what I got was 3 non-chase boxes (they opened the boxes to see which had the chase by the order of the individual boxes in the box of 12) and then one box that was re-assembled after the chases were pulled out.  He feels bad about the situation and he still claims that it really was just a language barrier misunderstanding that led to me getting what I got.

Looking back through the e-mails, I did notice that the word "sealed" disappeared after the first few exchanges and his final message did say "factory master case".  I guess I just assumed "factory master case" still meant "sealed master case" like it did earlier in the e-mails and not 4 searched boxes put back into the "factory master case" for shipping.  Yeah, it's hard to believe but he claims that what he thought I really wanted was the Kubrick Cardboard Master Carton (like someone buys a master case from Asia just for the cardboard box  ::)).

Regardless of whether I believe him or not, he isn't selling any of the chases on eBay and hasn't in the past for that matter.  I've had a couple of other deals with him in the past for stuff (he got me an Eopie during Episode 1 and a few other HTF things for cost on two other occasions) and I have always been treated fairly by him on shipping costs and things like that in the past.

I'll just chalk it up to a bad case of buyer beware and I guess I avoid dealing with him in the future.   :(

Did the seller replace the chase figures with other non chase figures? I mean did you get the full 48 figures with no chases?

Check this out. I think it's a Darth Vader Bearbrick. The seller says it's a Bearbrick, but arms and legs look a bit wrong. ??? Pretty cool, but I'm not going down the Bearbrick path.

Jeff.

That is absolutely terrible what the seller did. I would ask for at least half my money back. I'm not sure how much you paid, but I wouldn't be happy at all.
