I don't know if anybody has noticed this before, but lately this has been bugging me. In episode 1 I know Yoda is digital here:

and I think here:

But, in this scene

(in chapter 46 of the widescreen Ep1 dvd)
Yoda actually looks like he is being played by a person. He just seems funny walking down that ramp, as if there is an actor in a yoda suit. Anybody have any thoughts as to what it is? Actor or just the puppet?

Somewhere I read that in one shot, Yoda is played by Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok, Wald the Rodian, Willow from the Willow movie). I could never figure out which one they were referring to, so I'm guessing that's this.
Thanks for pointing that out, TeenJedi! Something to pay attention to on my next viewing. :)

I guess that solves it! Thanks a lot for the information. :)

I don't think it is a guy in a suit. Warwick Davis is taller than Yoda. I think he might be CGI because if you look a little later in that scene (when they change camera angles on the group coming down the ramp) Even Piel is walking where Yoda was.

the landing scene is really odd, most of the actors (like sam jackson) weren't on the set
i don't believe it would have been possible for warwick to play yoda, as it has already been stated is taller than yoda
