We have a relatively new TRU  in Chino Hills. That place is always packed on weekends. It looks like people are doing Christmas shopping no matter what time of year it is. They even do special Lego building events on the weekend. The weekdays still see a lot people in the store. It's never dead. Unfortunately, they never get anything new when it comes to Star Wars but that isn't what kids are buying. The Lego area always has kids checking stuff out. I wonder what will happen to that store.

I have a feeling this barge isn't going to fly. It just shows that there aren't very many collectors or even star wars scalpers out there to make this thing a reality. If Hasbro didn't screw up store distribution there might be people around that would buy this thing. Just look at the hits for this web site. We are very few in numbers these days. Stuff sits on store shelves and we never see new waves at retail. I don't think there is enough of us left to buy this thing at $500. Besides where would I put it?

My biggest thing is where would I put it? I'm less about Star Wars now and more about retro video games. In fact, I'm building an arcade coffee table. Maybe  I could put the ship inside it?! Hmmm. Will this fly pass the wife?  Probably not.

I guess the point of the ski speeder was to buy them time to send a help message and for someone to arrive. For someone to arrive, they would need to be in the cave for days. The FO knocked down their door in about ten minutes. The ski speeders did nothing but get people killed. Even shooting at the walkers with guns did nothing but get more peopled killed. Luke had to show up to buy time for the Falcon to load the last twenty people on board. There were a lot more people before they decided to fight to buy time. Why not just stay put and  find an internal way to barricade themselves in and play Home Alone with the FO?

So I guess we are getting a Thala-Siren in vintage packaging.

So what was the point of the Ski Speeder other than to fly as close as possible to the battering ram and shoot it's little laser down it's throat? Never saw the point of them. They were really easy to take out.
