EE just shipped my Jaina Solo. She so should have been Rey in TFA.

Over at the Disney forum wdwmagic you can't say Dick Van ****. It returns **** Van ****.  You also get an automatic nasty email from the moderators about profanity.  You also can't say wdwinfo because of a feud that board had with wdwinfo site.

Can we say Rebelscum here?

The Wookiee Arcade / Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire
« on: January 5, 2018, 09:16 AM »
The VR experience Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire opens at The Void in Down Town Disney at Disneyland Resort this week. It's a virtual reality experience where you were VR goggles and a computer backpack and shoot stormtroopers.

Here’s how the VOID explains the story:
“Under the orders of the budding rebellion, your team will travel to the molten planet of Mustafar. Your mission is to recover Imperial intelligence vital to the rebellion’s survival. Alongside the pragmatic droid K-2S0, your team must navigate through an enemy facility walking into danger at every turn. Disguised as stormtroopers, grab your blaster, solve puzzles, and fight giant lava monsters in an effort to fulfill your team’s orders.”

Star Wars Universe / Re: Is Star Wars special anymore?
« on: January 4, 2018, 09:37 PM »
What happens when a Star Wars movie is not one of the top three movies of the year? Will the fan boys declare Stat Wars dead? What will Disney do with a movie that made less than expectations? Will they cut budgets on the next one?

Star Wars Universe / Is Star Wars special anymore?
« on: January 2, 2018, 12:53 PM »
Since we can expect a new Star Wars movie every year for the foreseeable future does this make a new Star Wars movie opening  special? We use to have to wait 3-4 years for a new movie and wait ten years for a new trilogy. Each release felt exciting and new. Now we will get a new movie every year. Each one will be hit or miss in quality and how well it does in the theaters. As for toys, we only get a wave or two major characters now instead of weird background characters.  What are your feelings on this? Do you like watching the trilogy movies or the anthology movies? Will one be better than the other? is that feeling of "special" still there?

It didn't really cover why Kenner started to make Star Wars figures again in 1995. They made it out like Hasbro restarted the line in 1999 for Episode 1.

Good bye Dr. Evazan.

The Last Jedi / Re: TLJ Movie / Figure and Vehicle Choices - SPOILERS
« on: December 29, 2017, 03:13 PM »
Just expecting three or four same Han and Landos packed with some vehicle or weird weapon. Looking at trend, they aren't going to give us anything by lots of the same major characters.

Star Wars Anthology / Re: Solo (SPOILERS)
« on: December 29, 2017, 03:11 PM »
I'm more excited to see this anthology movies than the trilogy stuff. The whole Star Wars thing every year takes the specialness away from it. At least we can get new original stories this way. Of course the neck beard fan boys will hate it.

I'm surprised on how cheaply Kenner got the Star Wars license. I remember how stupid Hasbro was for not renewing it just prior to Episode 1. It kind of explains the amount of crap we got that year.

The Barbie episode was pretty good too. I didn't know she was based on a German hooker doll. Who the heck gives his girl friend a hooker doll?

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS)

The Death Star could have hyperspaced to be in range within the moon of Yavin instead of orbiting around it. The Empire could have landed the AT-ATs next to the shield generator and blew it up. The Emporer could have blown up the shield generator once the Death Star was active then turn on the rebel ships. The movie wouldn't have a story or be as much fun if these things happened.

The Sequel Trilogy / Re: Star Wars: The Last Jedi (SPOILERS)

The second viewing is usually better once you see the more clever details. I still don't like the kids with the over exaggerated expressions and broom kid. That felt like pandering to the kids in the audience. Otherwise I really liked it.

Yoda was a physical puppet in this one. He was a little strange looking though. A cg Yoda would have been better. Frank Oz did the voice but not the puppetry.

Super Leia in space was done before in Guardians of the Galaxy when Star Lord rescued Gamora. He lived. Leia has the Force and used it to save herself.

Wasn't there a Captain Phasma with removable helmet announced for a future figure wave? Or was that just a custom figure?

What was with the last scene with the kids and the "you can join the Rebellion too" vibe? I'm not sure the point of the children on Canto Bight. I guess Disney needed to show that kids can help the Rebellion too.
