They cashed my checks last week so I'm hoping they're on the way, but just because they cashed them doesn't make it so?   ???

Seems to straightforward to have that many from that one story. Also, the implied battle droid two-pack (OOM and droid) for Clone Wars sounds too good to be true.

I dunno, the Clone Wars Battledroid is about the most worthless figure out there. It's a stretch to pay retail for two of them. That's the least they could do to put 2 in there. After all the Legends 2 -pack is a great value with the superior articulated BD that first came out in the Target Order 66 packs. Too bad we can't get them in tan as of yet.
I'm reluctant to buy another CW Battledroid. It needs an up-grade like most CW figures are getting.

I'm looking forward to most of the other rumored figures.

The Vintage Collection / Re: What Would Be "The End" For You?
« on: March 29, 2011, 02:25 PM »
I don't think there will ever be an end to it for me. Just a scaling back and getting rid of extra or chessy stuff.
Most of the figures being produced these days are far superior in many respects to figures in the past. Though I can't say that many heads are better on some of the humanoids because of the ball jointed necks This is why I will keep some older figures, plus it's cool to put them together to get an "evolution" for better or worse of the figure. Not everything new with better articulation is an improvement in sculpting IMO.

An eventual creating of Jabba's Palace or the Cantina diorama in the most realistic way that I can like some have done is high on my list of things to do way into my adult age. Hasbro is more than halfway in creating all these characters.

The things I have done in the last few years that has curbed my collecting is stopped being a completist, stopped being a mint on mint card collector and have to have every card and their variations for each run thumb tacked to my wall. I quit building armies, though an occasional squad is ok.

The TVC cards are the pinnacle of sweetness, but Hasbro burnt me out with all the scotch taped cheesy packaging of the past. So sorry but it's too late to be a completist. Plus the prices don't help. Now I enjoy collecting a heck of a lot more with loose figures. It's a lot easier to find a mangled card with a complete figure in it, than spending all that time and gas looking for the perfect card, or ordering a case of figures with some figures I don't want and paying through the nose. Though the last time I had to do that was the with the last red card 2010 EU wave where every figure was new..no problem.

Nope not going to call it quits just yet, but there are ways to cut back.

Yeah that's probably where most of my UPC's I used for anything the past year came from...  I ordered most of my stuff before a ton of things I wanted on Vintage or CW 2011 cards were out.
I cut one UPC out from a blue card, then I remembered that I keep all the inserts to all the figures I opened in the last 10 years or so and the UPC is attached.  ::)  Did some digging through the mountain of inserts and cards, low and behold I found at least 10 of them I opened already (though 1 was the unqualified 501st Walmart Clone Jayson mentioned - thanks again)

I had enough for 2 Sgt. Bric's. Sent them off today (fingers crossed)

20
Thanks Jayson!
It's so small I didn't see it. Proceeding to cut some UPC's.

Ok, I'm very late sending these off, but I still want a Bric figure (thanks to Jesse for the reminder)
I just want to be sure about the assortment numbers. Fixing to cut some UPC's off the bottom of some of the first Clone Wars figures (on the blue & white helmet cards) These will work right? I see the assortment numbers on the form saying 87638. I'm looking at the bottom of a Cody figure and it says 87812 right above the UPC. This is within the realm of the allowable UPC's right?

Pardon my lack of knowledge, but I just want to be sure before I go carving up the bottom of my cards.

Thanks.

In the last 2 weeks I found Weequay, Kit Fisto, Padme, and finally Zam Wesell (she's been tough to track down.
I missed most of Wave 3, so I've been trying to play catch up. I managed to find R2 because he's been re-issued. Thank goodness I found Wooof, he's a must have, and Admiral Ackbar. Guess I'll be waiting for the Gamorean Guard to be re-issued. He's so high demand and pricey on the secondary market, I'm just going to be patient till he comes out again along with the Ewok.

The only other must have is Fi-Eck Sirch. I suspect he won't be too hard to find lately as that wave is just now hitting around here.

I could be wrong but I thought that Anakin and Asaajj fought on Yavin right?. Though that was in the cartoon series.
I would like to see some Gendy cartoon series characters to be incorporated into the new Clone Wars. I mean where's Fordo, the Arc Pilots? I would love to see some of the Arena characters and Nelvaans (my favorite)

More elaboration on just where and how Grievous got to be a cyborg. Maybe a flashback. We saw some background in his lair.

Since they brought Tarkin back and a few other OT officers in their younger age like Yularen, why not include a few adventures of many a fans favorite Imperial officer General Veers! He'd be perfect as a young and brilliant ground assault officer coming up through the ranks. The only chance we'll get to see him in action again.

Some good Q&A.

No Aayla for a while though there is hope. Really though, one of the (selfish) reasons other than just liking the sexy blue babe is I want her to appear again so Hasbro might consider re-issuing the Clone Wars figure that's sooo ridiculously priced these days.  :o

I like the Ben Quadrinaros answer as well. That's a big if! :)

Hey Hasbro! / HTF Clone Wars Figures
« on: March 9, 2011, 08:17 PM »
Thank you Hasbro for re-issuing Hondo Ohnaka (though he's conspicuously missing from 2011 wave 1 but on the cardback) and making available Obi-Wan & Anakin with Thi-sen available again in a battlepack.

Could you please find it in your hearts to get some of the other 2010 wave 11 & 12 figures out on cards or in battle packs somehow?

The secondary market prices are killing us.  :'(

Along with Hondo Ohnaka can we please get:

Commander Bly
Commander Stone
Darth Sidious
Aayla Secura

26
So, anybody know why Hondo doesn't appear to be in this wave?

He's on the card back of the Cad Bane w/Todo  card as #39, what 's up with that? Does anyone have an explanation why he's no where to be found?  ???

This wave is showing up at Walmart now here in ABQ.
Picked up:

El-Les
Commander Wolffe
Ashoka (season 3 outfit)
Aqua Droid

I figure I'll pick up the improved Anakin Later. The Crowd Control Trooper doesn't appear to be in this wave and he's not on the card back.

While I was at it I went over to K-Mart to get a CW Captain Lock before they're all gone.

New guy here.

Big fan of Star Wars and Clone Wars with a huge collection going back to the POTF2 days. Still going.
Big fan of other things like LOTR, Indy, GI Joe, Star Trek, Legion of Super Heroes (silver age) etc. and science fiction and fantasy in general. Collect a great many things from different action figure and toy genres. A whole lotta die cast too.
Also collect many 21st Century Toys, though mostly from the WWII era.
As you can tell I'm all over the place, but I'm narrowing down as I go.
