Okay, the JoeY discussion has been locked down and Phil Wise stickied this to the top of the page:

I've just been made aware of the issues with Joe Y's posting that caused him to be suspended for month. I've also seen the diatribe that followed.

Stop it now.

I'm getting ready to lock that thread down. Do not start any further discussion on this topic.

Here's what you need to know about why this happened:

Yes, I let this section self-moderate. And it's been very good for years.

However, self-moderation is not no moderation.

Self-moderation did not happen, and the thread got out of hand by a member who good and well knows better.

Pretty diplomatic compared to the Prop Replica post.

I suppose Philip Wise could always copy/paste his gem from the Prop Replica section:

It's really been awhile since I had to step in and take action on something like this. Probably there are many here that either don't know or don't remember a few basic things that are dead set in stone by me.

The forum is not a democracy.

There is no freedom of speech in this forum.

The forum is provided here so people can hang out together and talk about Star Wars collecting in a manner that's mutually respectful.

I do not care how much you are pissed off at companies like efx, no matter how much you may feel they deserve it. You may not be disrespectul of them in this forum.

I'm sure there are other forums that wouldn't mind having your participation, regardless of its venom.

If you cannot live with this, leave. Right now. Just be done with it and move on. And no, I don't want to see any goodbye threads. I just want you gone.

If you continue, we will permanently remove your access to the forum.

I'm starting to think there will be another wave of ex-RS members dropping by, if that thread continues on its current path.

All of the mod team moderate this site do so in our free time for the sheer love of the hobby (we don't get paid for this) but please show some respect towards all of us, no matter what section we're from and/or the decisions that've been made Remember this site is what YOU make of it, we're here to keep the peace and keep it all in check, sadly that thread (I have checked it out) was way out of line and the comments posted just unacceptable period.

Well good for you. You and your pals do a ****** *** job of modding what used to be a really awesome site. AND for free no less. WOW!!! good for you. Too bad, if you got paid, you guys would get fired for the job you're done lately.

I never read the thread it was gone before I had a chance to look. Which is another problem we have. It should have been locked down. As for comments being way out of line. It shows the action was taken by someone who doesn't know Joe even a little bit. Bringing up another issue. I always thought each section had it's own set of mods. That's the impression I've always had, considering I know I've never see your name pop up here.

I'm curious why I was singled out as I wasn't the first to make a comment about this mods brain power. And whoever did Joes ban BTW deserves the "moron mod" title. Trust me I was showing respect I could have just called him a ******bag ******* **** knob dickbag. Which would have been alot more fitting I think.

AND finally take your and shove it up your ***.

I appreciate you coming in here and posting about this. This proves it's not difficult. Would have been nicer and meant more if the mod who actually was involved took a couple seconds out of his busy day ruling with an iron fist and governing through fear and tyranny (at least how I see it) to step up and make any type of statement. I guess it's easier and better to ban people and remove undesirables when no one knows who you are and you aren't accountable to the people that you're over seeing.

In my personal opinion the offending thread should not have been removed, because it is always a good idea to have discipline examples out there.  But some of the posters in that thread are acting ridiculous.

Why is it still Kitster/Wald?  The odds are that these would be on individual cards.

Other Toy Lines / Re: Star Trek

The thought of a Kreo Deep Space Nine is making me giddy, but I realize that's a couple of years down the road, if ever.  It makes sense to me that they are mainly interested in using Star Trek to sell and promote their Kreo line.  Hasbro will never get the Star Wars license away from Lego (and for good reason!) and Lego has never appeared to show an interest in acquiring the Star Trek license, which has the often-unrealized potential to be a big seller.

I'm female and I lurk because there isn't a lot for me to post that isn't quite succinctly put by other more active members.   :D  I don't care about the ogling in general but it just rubbed me the wrong way because I was trying to discuss the costume and the responses from some posters were only about the quality of the wonder-boobies.  I'll get over it.

Apparently I'm the only person who has an opinion on the costume.

No...just the only one who does not adequately admire a good pair of boobies.

Edit.  Screw it.  If you ever wonder why there aren't a lot of females posting here, this is why.

Is it the juxtaposition of different materials for the bodice and pants?  The pants appear to be some sort of matte poly-cotton blend while the bodice is a very shiny vinyl or other plastic material.  Doesn't bother me but I can see how others would find the combination jarring.  What I don't like are the wrinkles in the bodice material.  On either actress, it makes the uniform look saggy and not at all supportive, like it was about to fall off or something.  Perhaps the Hall of Justice could hire a tailor?

Anyone still reading these?  With all the different Joe lines I have to constantly re-check the covers while I am reading to recall which universe the story is in!

The new scratch-off cover is an awesome gimmick and was very successful with me, I bought two so I could scratch one off and leave the other intact.  I experienced a real child-like thrill scratching off that mask.  They should do something like that more often, and wouldn't it have been cool if different covers had different people under the mask, distributed in random assortments?

Yeah, the other one looks too Xena-esque.  But "looks about to fall off" does not equate to "fits well," even if it does also describe your avatar.  I hope your female family members are also valued according to breast size.

That costume sucks.  It looks like it doesn't fit very well.
