I saw the FF4 stuff this past weekend while hunting for SW and TFs. I will say that they are improved over the last ones but still not tempting enough for me. Sadly, there was no Surfer to be found. That figure I would buy...

I stopped at Target this morning and they had NOTHING! It was all set for product but the shelves were bare...

This forced me to go to Walmart where they only had HALF of what was supposed to be out. Luckily they had Optimash Prime ( ;D) and the Optimus/Ravage RH 2 pack. I really like these Robot Heroes and think i'll go back for the rest later today...

I just read on the TNI forums that it sounds like the next wave of 5 single packs will be the following:

Lady Jaye
Beachhead
Buzzer
Cobra Trooper
Serpentor

We had those guessed from the cardback, but it does sound like this is the next wave after the two 5 packs and wave 1 of the single packs.

Nice on the Serpentor! I've actually been watching a couple of complete vintage ones with the chariot on Ebay lately...

The only Comm figures I picked up (and still have) are the He-man/Battle Cat and Skeletor/Panthor 2-packs. While I wanted the rest I really didn't have the space or $ at the time. And what I could never figure out is why the 2-packs were only $20 while the individual figures were $12. It just seemed weird but I wasn't complaining.  ;D

Also, did anyone else try to get the 1986 movie's rereleased soundtrack this week? I went to two WMs, one Target, one Best Buy, and one FYE and I didn't see it anywhere. It annoyed the piss out of me.

THEY REISSUED IT?!?!?! Looks like i'm going on a run at lunch...  :P

I really liked the first three but I'm seriously thinking about dumping them as I'm sure I'll never get get my paws on these suckers.  I can understand one or two of these things being exclusives, but FIVE??  Geesh, R2 was the last one we had and he came out what almost two years ago?  It would have been nice if they would have thrown us a couple of these.  Perhaps they weren't selling well at retail or something.

I doubt it's the selling well aspect. They're completely gone from the shelves over here and i've never even seen the R2...

My guess is that since Disney already has a strong relationship with the Potato Head products that they felt this was a good opportunity. All the toy stores at Disney have huge "make your own Potato Head" areas and they've been packed everytime i've been there...

My only wonder is if these will be complete Potato Heads or just "parts kits" like they did with POTC...

1:6 Scale Figures and Collectibles / Re: Sideshow Gift Card
« on: May 30, 2007, 02:37 PM »
Congratulations on your gift card, Brent!  My husband and I got one of these each, and each one worked out to be worth $40.  But the fact that the selection is so limited does indeed put a bit of a damper on it.  :(  I had hoped to use mine  to pre-order their fabulous Asajj Ventress, but she's already sold out!

I have no idea how the "second chance" thing works, alas, but as evenflow suggests, it probably isn't something to hold one's breath about.  These cards do have an expiration date, after all (mine were 12/31/07).

Good luck and happy shopping, though, and once again congratulations!  $30 is nothing to sneeze at!

... the Findswoman

Yeah they really do limit you to what you can use it on so while it's free there's not much to choose from and alot of it is $100+. It would be nice if you  could use them on any product but then again they'd lose more $$$ that way...

They've been throwing alot of different items on there lately as well as removing a few. I have a $30 card as well and the one thing I wanted (Bride of Chucky Figure) disappeared out of nowhere...

- Futurama: Now HERE is the line i've been waiting for. They're supposed to hit later this month. I'm going to try and complete the set with all the exclusives...

Is this just a general release with some exclusive tie ins or is the entire line exclusives??  I've loved that show since the first episode and I still catch the reruns everynight.  Do you have a linky you could point me to?

I dabbled in South Park, but left it behind.  Never started on Family Guy either but those are my other two favorite cartoons.

The Futurama is going to be a wide release by Toynami. The first wave sometime in June will have Fry and Zoidberg. There will be 2 more waves (Leela/Zapp & Bender/Kif) and all will come with parts for a BAF Robot Devil. I'm hoping if this does will that it will go beyond that. As for exclusives, at last years SDCC they did a Golden Bender and this year it will Mating Zoidberg. Here are some articles:

As for SP, it's really hard to resist this line. Mezco has done such a great job with it and the character selection has been good. For fear of going broke i'm only collecting the Cartmans. With Family Guy, it's half my wife's collection. She's a HUGE fan of the show and likes collecting these...
