I support the idea.  And I realize it is a tough decision to put any restrictions on an open forum.  I don' t think it is a decision to stop any of the current members, but as the forum grows, it is a genie that you wouldn't be able to put back in the bottle and you would end up with the RS situation.

But at the same time, I have to admit, I don't go into the Political Threads.  I get enough politics when I'm not in the forums.

Hey Eli Lindros-Manning.....where's the hat?

The only way to stink this draft up anymore would be for somebody to trade all their draft picks for then next 10 years for Troy Hambrick, but I did hear that Minnesota was interested.... ;)

Wow, I have to apologize to all Red Wing fans....I was rooting for them tonight....I should have known better....

Look at the faces on the Joe Louis Arena crowd...you'd think somebody killed their pet Octopus....

I feel responsible for the Red Wings and Maple Leaf losses....for my next trick...I'll root for the Avalanche...that game is on the deuce right now..

I must have...but it couldn't be too exciting if I didn't remember it.  Well good for him, perhaps I should rephrase and say I'd like to see the HYPE factor over which kicker will get picked first on day one....

Oh and the latest news on Eli Manning is that he will sit out the 2004 season if he is chosen by the Chargers....I'd love to see a rule that said if these overpaid whiners did that, then they could go get real jobs like the rest of us...oh wait, only a small percentage actually have degrees and real jobs...

Besides what do these guys think "Draft" means?  If he didn't want to play for San Diego he should have "tanked" the combine...I wonder what Vanderjagt thinks of this Manning....

I'd love to see the day that a kicker was sooo good that he got some 1st day draft excitement.....

Now to Eli Manning.  He is now on my list of whiny people that I hope nothing but failure for.  I will laugh my butt off if/when the San Diego Chargers get to the Super Bowl before he does.  I will refer to him as Eric Lindros from now on.....

Just got back from out of town for 5 days in the woods/boonies with no TV or Radio....

Well I Tivo'ed the Stars game, guess I can erase that one....

Per my Rooting chart from the previous page, it looks like my rooting Jinx is running 50//50 right now, get your requests in now for me to support your opponent in round 2!!!

oh well, in a way it is a bit more fun to watch now that the Stars are out, I can watch all the games and not get too worked up over a win or loss (not that i would trade that for a place in the 2nd round or beyond)

mine is the terribly witty and thought out first letter of my first name and my last name....I know its lame, but hey to an extent so am I.

Perhaps I'll change it for "privacy" and "security" purposes.  my problem is if I change it, i'll forget the new one and never be able to post again....

Are reenactments fun?

Oh most definately....

I have been a WWII re-enactor for over a decade (I spent my High School Grad $$ on the stuff to get started).......

And I actually just got back from a Vietnam Re-enactment 3 hours ago....

You learn so many more details if you do live it as oppossed to read it, like how does a C-Rat taste when it has been in a sock all day?

Some buddies and I were talking about F&I this weekend actually, but from Texas all the good events would definately be a weeks worth of vacation....  But we want to carry the Long Car-a-been...

Well Jesse of the Long Carabine, I'll join in with some celebratory actions with you....

Nothing like getting into the leggings, the loin cloth and grabbing the "war club", while we talk of Kan-tu-kay....

I think that the French Indian Wars are the most interesting pre-Civil War military battles in our (US) history.  Great names, great leaders. Sets the stage nicely for the Revolution.

Unfortunately, not enough info (books, Movies, History Channel) is based on this period, since it seems to have lost out to other Topical areas like the Alamo, the Civil War and that guy with the funny moustache in 1940's Germany...

Pre-Dollar Menu......when Taco Bell had 29 cent party tacos.....thats 3 Tacos for $1.

But nowadays it has to be Wendy's.  And I don't really like Wendy's that much, but I do admit their $1 menu is the goods....

Well my "rooting" jinx is in full effect this year.

The 16 teams in the playoffs on my rooting scale are listed here:

1. Dallas
2. Toronto (my Eastern Conference Team, this year)
3. St. Louis Blues
4. Montreal
5. Detroit (yes I know blasphemy)
6. Nashville
7. New Jersey
8. Vancouver
9. Ottawa
10. Colorado
11. Calgary
12.  Boston
13. San Jose
14. Tampa Bay
15. Islanders
16. Flyers

Again this is not who I think will win, in fact if my Jinx goes into full effect it will be a Philly vs. San Jose Final....these are who I am pulling for when I am watching 6-8 hours of hockey on the NHL CENTER ICE...

I'll be at the Dallas game tomorrow night, gotta love the fair weather fan, once the Stars went 0-2, the tickets became magically available from one of my buddies.

Hey Mikey D, what is the deal with the NE coach and Ty Law?  I saw him on a talkshow and they had the lead in where he was talking serious smack, but I had to leave.  Not that Dallas needs another DB, but he seems good.

ANd has Denver quietly had a very busy Off-Season.  Lynch signed with them today.

I was in no way meaning that the Oilers weren't going to make the playoffs, just that it looks like the usual first round matchup of Edmonton/Dallas would be difficult to see this year.  Heck at this point only Chicago can definately start making plans for Golf trips in May. :(

I am thrilled they beat Dallas.

Right now I see Dallas, Edmonton and Detroit finishing strong like the Ducks did last year.  The Stars are finally scoring more than 1 goal a game.
