The Clone Wars '08-'13 / Re: CW Deluxe Figure & Vehicle Line
« on: September 28, 2009, 03:28 PM »
I haven't bought a single "deluxe" figure set yet, though that may change with TRU sale this week. Add some Clone Cash and the price is actually where it should be. I also think aside from the price point nothing has excited me by far with this line.

Nice to see SA Bacara is coming out again. The Mygetto BP was really scarce here. I saw it just a handful of times (if that). Not sure how others fared with it though.

Well guys, after being a completest of this line since 2004, I just sold my entire Titanium collection the other day. I hated to see it go just because I took such a loss compared to what I paid, but now that all 176 single carded ships along with the four Wal-Mart 5-packs and the Wal-Mart Falcon Transformer with the bonus gold ships are gone, I'm real happy. Tons of wall space has been discovered!

I am very close to doing the same. I can't tell you the last Titanium I bought. I think I stopped some time around Winter or Spring of '08 (maybe sooner). Even though it's been that long I have totes full of them I planned on opening at some point, but being I'm so far behind I think it might be time to say good bye. I loved them initially. As rehash after rehash came out, and price point got obscene I got over them quick. I have really dig the last few waves though (not enough to purchase) some really cool vehicles that would otherwise never see the light of day. Although I think it was a little too late, at least for me, in releasing these great ships of the last waves.

Definitely no rhyme or reason to eBay. I have seen loose figures (mostly what I search being a loose collector) go for astronomical amounts and I have sat and said "WTF"  :o, and then hours later (or a day later) seen the same figure go for half or less than half. It's odd and I can't grasp the workings whatsoever.

I can say at times I'm astonished at what some loose figures go for. Whudda thunk the POTF2 garbage would fetch more than a couple of bucks, yet I have seen some end [loose] $10+  :-X

Has anyone found one of these lately? I actually didn't fare to bad on this one and found a decent amount. Though I was hoping to grab a couple more for the crew member (shocker).

I'm not overly worried though as he's got to be a shoe in for a future Fans' Choice Legends release. I still have a few carts around if anyone needs btw.

What forms of Autism are your children being diagnosed with? I ask because there are many various forms. Our oldest son (now 18) suffers from Aspbergers. I can share a lot of what I know and have been through.

Hell, I think if crack were involved you'd still not lay down 61 clams. Shoot that can probably cop you a decent crack haul.

Another one I'm sitting on the fence regarding buying or not. It's a pretty droid, but $35 pretty? Hrm...  :-\

I think my hard sell is the fact I picked up two BMF's last Jan at Target for $35, albeit on clearance but... I might stay on the fence unless I see this going somewhere, but as of now a few stores have sold a couple each and the rest are sitting.

What's truly mind blowing is the price some of these figures are selling for alone on eBay. I mean I saw a Wedge that ended at $61!!!  :o

People b!tch and complain about $45 (no offense to anyone as I haven't bought one and I b!tch myself) yet some others are willing to shell 60 clams for just Wedge. I just don't get it, and I'm not sure I ever will.

Reader who wandered in. One time poster at Rebelscum (years and years ago- actually forgot my nick there it was that long) though just reading that place is 75% crap posting. Some good people left (names I actually remember myself) although far and few. One standout dreg there is the poster "Grak". God, I'd cut off my testicles if I had to interact with him.

I definitely have my finger on the trigger... What did the cost with shipping come to? That's the deal breaker for me at this point. I'm just afraid with the higher cost ($70) that the shipping might price it high enough that I might opt to wait. Of course watch me regret that. Ugh...

Still haven't seen this one and I'm thinking it could be a while. The Shadow ARC is collecting dust at every big box store around here (and we have many). I'm really curious to see what XMas brings this year. Usually XMas brings out the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles who clean shelves of whatever is on it. Though with so many people just struggling to makes ends meet will the same happene again this year?

I think it's the only way, short of clearances, to get the Shadow ARC off shelves.

The Legacy Collection / Re: Legacy Wave 8 - The Phantom Menace

Semi decent wave. Obi Wan's sculpt is pretty off so I hope Hasbro goes back and corrects it at some point (note I'm sure they wil). Rum Sleg probably the 2nd best part of the wave which is odd being he's a background filler character. I don't think the Queen is as bad as many think, but she's not anything to write home about. Cleg- meh...

Now the Gungan I think easily makes the wave. Gorgeous sculpt. Great articulation, Very nice accessories. Winner for sure.

Just thought I'd throw my name out there into the newbie pool.

LOOONG time collector which has seen many shifts in the collection. From buying it all to selling it all to buying again. Went from carded to carded/loose to strictly loose collector (now playing catch up).
